    I just I started my first, and was starting that influenced to watch your videos and take more seriously the human anatomy learning, now I see my previous work and I see mistakes, but as you say you learn by practicing.
    Thanks for responding, your job is realy great!

    I remember when you started this sculpture, I had just bought strength training and anatomy by Frederic Delavier. I am just blown away by your dedication and skill.

    I really like the detail with which you work! is inspiring
    like the music of this video, I loved it!
    few questions: How many Ecorches've done in your life, and what the average time it took you to make??

    ...currently I am using a wax based clay call NONAMECLAY. It does not dry if you work slow unlike sculpey... it remains hard in room temperature , and you can still sculpt like normal clay without needing any special tools. This head sculpt was done using this clay. If you are keen to find out more of this clay, the link is in the description above.

    Hi Alberto
    Thank you.. glad you like my taste of music.. alot of people finds it annoying haha... Well all in all.. just 3 ecorches... each time I learn alot and it's better then the one before. I guess practice makes perfect.

    Very nice. How would you compare the clay material to Polymer clay or Plastiline? I seem to be more comfortable sculpting with plastiline but it doesn't cure. I'm new to sculpting and was wondering what's a good medium to practice additive sculpting with.

    what is the purpose of having the detachable square tubes limbs/head?

  • @juliankhor
    @juliankhor  11 років тому

    Hi SoulScribePro
    Interesting question. Before you start on a sculpt ask yourself what will the end sculpture be used for?. If it's just for practice and you do not need to immortalize it, non hardening clay like plastiline is idea. If you plan to hardened your clay and paint it, polymer clay like Sculpey will be suitable.
    However if you do not wish to have the hassle of baking your clay to hardened yet does not go dry on you if you are a slow artist, max based clay would be the answer..

    Hi Koreanpeoples..
    It's for ease of sculpting. There are always area that would be hard to reach if they are attached together. Having them telescopic just makes life easier. And for ease of molding and casting, most of the time these parts will eventually be cut into separates pieces anyways.

    My sculpting skills do not go beyond grabbing some play doh while drunk with my friends and making a penis. However I am cultured enough to say that Lysippos or whoever created the original will be pretty damn proud. Keep up the good work!
