    Hey guys the EcoFlow River Pro doesn't come standard with a solar panel. It comes with a solar cable to connect one to 👌 cheers!

      How do you charge it? Is it just when you have power available?

    • @WhileWereYoung.
      @WhileWereYoung.  Рік тому +2

      @@davidmanning8329 we charge the EcoFlow either off our caravan solar or we have a little solar blanket in our truck that also charges it. When ur in the car u can just plug it into the cig lighter socket too. But a solar panel charges it up pretty fast 👌

      Being able to charge off solar or just a cig lighter plug (when was the last time you saw someone light a cigarette off one???) is very useful. Was worried about the lack of dcdc charger, but these, while slower, will do the job fine.

      @@davidmanning8329 hahaa yeah I'd love to see someone light a cig off one just for the nostalgia 😂
      Yeah it's accualy pretty easy to charge up which is good
      weve got a little cheap inverter in our caravan so we plug it into that through the day while we are getting solar in from the roof and that charges it up super quick 👌

    Very cool! We've been very tempted by an induction cooker for those windy days. The really simple way of testing compatibility for induction compatible saucepans is using a magnet - if a fridge magnet sticks to the bottom of the pan, it's all good.

    Howdy from Texas. I too have the river pro with the extension battery. Your river pro will put out the 600 watts because what it does is use the boost mode which might be on in your battery. I must warn you that the appliances you run may eventually get ruined because the boost app on the river pro lowers the voltage. That is why some of your appliances might take longer to heat up your coffee or make your toast or fry your eggs. and bacon. So be careful. I'm an ecoflow fanatic and I just bought the delta 2 that has 1042 watts of capacity and a massive 1800 watt inverter . During prime time this delta 2 would run your appliance without any danger of ruining them. If you wait to buy during prime time I bought my delta 2 for only $679 U.S. Cheers mate.

    Hi guys, love the channel and watching your adventures. My wife are starting to plan our retirement journey and I have absolutely no right to say what I am about to say but it comes from someone who means well. Please be careful with endorsements, its great your being recognised and rewarded but caution is needed. I have watched other channels start like yours, genuine people on a journey who have just become “influencers” and brand marketers without the appropriate knowledge to influence. I am in no way saying you dont have experience but it is tricky. Anyway good luck with your journey and we love watching the channel and hope the power station works for you…..PS you mentioned it comes with a solar panel it does but is an additional $499. Cheers Mark

      Hey mate cheers for watching 👌
      Completely understand your opinion, but we accualy get approached by a fair few different companies (this happens as soon as u start putting ur face on the internet) and 9 times out of 10 we arnt interested as there often products we wouldnt go out and buy ourselves. Where as EcoFlows products were definitely somthing we were keen to try out and also to show to our audience as we hadn't really seen anything like this used in caravans and if we had of before we left for our trip we potentially would have bought one from the start.
      We also reserved our rights to say whatever we feel about the river pro and will be doing a video later down the track to see if our opinion of it is the same. So far we absolutely love it. 👌
      But yeah I understand what your talking about as iv seen it too and don't plan on talking up a product that I don't believe is good.
      Yeah I'll pin a comment about the solar panel when I said it comes with a solar charger I ment a solar charger cable 🫣
      Cheers!

    @11:00 I also own an EcoFlow River 600. I have the (MAX) version. Clearly you are using the unit in its X-Boost Mode. I have turned off X-Boost, and I only use it with devices that don't pull more than 600 Watts. X-Boost is a dangerous feature to use, as it can slowly destroy electrical devices which contain IC's (Integrated Circuit Chips). It's OK for hair dryers and heat guns, but the problem with X-Boost is how it works - It lowers the AC voltage and ups the current output (Read Amps) to compensate for the nominal voltage drop in order to run your device which is demanding far more Watts of electrical energy than the unit's AC Inverter is rated to output. This solution can kill sensitive electronics, such as table top computers, some food processors, and some coffee makers. Coffee makers are a little more durable, and many of them seem less affected by X-Boost, but be aware most coffee makers do contain IC's in them, which can be blown out by sudden increases in amperage and drops in nominal AC voltage, which X-Boost uses to function.

    My van had the option to put in a big enerdrive lithium battery. It powers the van fine, but aircon doesn't run off it - only works when you're on mains - just too much power draw. The aircon isn't that big either.

    • @WhileWereYoung.
      @WhileWereYoung.  Рік тому +1

      Yeah a big lithium setup would be super nice! we dont have much to run off one tho so we could never really justify it. If we ever did put one in we would probably swap out our fridge for a 12v one ect, we would love to be able to run the aircon offgrid! we struggle a bit with Lyla's day naps when its hot because the van heats up through the day and its really hard to cool it down if theres no breeze

    • @davidmanning8329
      @davidmanning8329 Рік тому +1

      Aircon would be nice, but a 12v fan liken the sirocco ones at least keeps the air moving, and needs way less power to run!
