- This sale happened in early June 2022. In NJ for the weekend and I'm always going to check for sales. I had a whole day planned and the first sale ended up turning into a whole neighborhood of 5 sales. I spent so much money, I didn't go anywhere else after. The Go Pro battery didn't make it for the last 2 sales. Check out what some of these Lego sets sell for!

Finding good Lego Deals is really hard. Yesterday had a lady that wanted 80 for a used set that goes for 60 new/sealed on ebay. No idea how they come up with these prices

They hear about how Lego is great for resale, it is worth tons etc. It isn't, but it's a myth that is spread
It actually angered me how that woman wanted $135 for the lego set with Carnage. Cheapest price on bricklink is $14, 100% complete. Absolutely greedy.
They google lens for everything and were pulling some crazy numbers out of no where. I got what I could

They were Google lensing a lot of items and the son didn’t know what he was doing. They were finding the first thing that came up on Amazon, pricing their Legos like that no matter the condition. I was still able to do really well with everything I got.
LEGOS caught on a while back several years back I could get good deals, now everyone thinks they are gold.

Exactly and on fleemarkets the risk of being incomplete is very high (not on sealed ones obviously but used). Let’s be honest no one really checks before putting them up on yard sales/flee markets so you gotta count in that the set is incomplete (even tho seller says otherwise. Had plenty of sets missing and wrong pieces where the seller said it’s complete). So naturally they shouldn’t price them at eBay listings. Also it’s a yard sale of flee market not eBay for god sake people… it’s no fun these days.

If your bringing a phone to look up prices at a garage sale you shouldnt be there i mean its a garage sale. Same goes to the people that are looking up the prices of everything you got just sell everything online at that point the fuck. People go to garage sales to find a bargain not to pay retail for something
Haha. 90% of ppl don’t want to deal with the hassle of selling online or shipping. Also, why wouldn’t I not use every tool possible so I can make as much money as I can. I’m going to use my phone every time and it’s actually to the point where if you’re not using your phone somethings wrong with you.

Otherwise sell it online because people are not paying retail value at a garage sale. And people have garage sales to get rid of stuff. If you list everything at retail why wouldn’t they just buy it new
