Goodwill filter the donations, I did a test with a load of Pokemon in a binder, mainly junk but with a few decent cards. And yes I found my lot on the website for auction, with the good cards gone.
GW sorts by region...if you're in a region which does, then when visiting another try there. Also, if you've ever been at the doors at opening time...there is usually a group ready to pounce, but not normally toys...but they hit it within minutes of checking the other places they want. About 6 months ago my mom found A big ziplock bag full of lego minifigures And I totally would've getten them but goodwill was in their phase where they would jack up the prices 70% if they were a certain brand. It was $200 for THE BAG. Thankfully the manager got fired and I bet if it was here now it would most like be $10-$20. Sad
I'm 15 and I've dropped 500$ on lego in the past few months but I get good deals and resell recommend doing odd chores and stuff and. Then buy and sell to keep money inflow :)
I buy fake Lego, in the last 3 months I spent 95 dollars total and I got the 2013 republic gunship, ghost and phantom 2, and I got 40 mini figures. Sets from Aliexpress, minifigures from brixtoy. I love Lego, just not the expensive price tag

6:19 these donation stores really make it hard to buy bulk Lego from them. They cherry pick the mini figs, some even cherry pick castle pieces now too
