Although I'm in the United States. Overall I like your study tips. I agree with you about learning as opposed to memorizing using brain dumps. It does carry a big responsibility when you are on the air. Great video. Have a great day. 73s. KD2ZZE.

Thank you very much. Good to hear you found this useful even though the USA course is different to the UK. Hope you are having a great day & 73.

You can start using your ham equipment once you get your callsign from Ofcom. It will most likely be explained to you after passing your exam. Good luck & thank you very much for the compliments.

Out of interest, given your previous knowledge did you find some of the answers debatable?
This is a problem I had and was advised to either go for the next level up or approach the questions as someone would with no RF experience.
Good advice by the way, reading is the key if you have no hands on experience 👍🏼

Yes. Three points to add on this.
1 It depends how the person or persons who created the question think is the right answer. It is not what you know, it is what they want you to know. The secret to passing is to think like the examiner.
2 The right answer depends on the material used. If you used material the examiner did not, then more likely you may select the wrong answer even if according to the other material you studies from, you did choose the right answer.
3 Some questions can be confusing because of the wording the examiner used.
And its not just radio exams when the answer is debatable, but others too & it is mostly relating to point 1. Thanks for the compliments.

Yes I agree. I often get fixed on minor detail and start thinking ‘outside the box’ which is the wrong thing to do in this case of course.
Pleased you are enjoying being licensed 👍🏼
