I remember in the 1990s as a nurse in Australia, we had a guy in that was ‘crazy’ and would ‘go off’ at night. I eventually saw his tattoo on his arm a number from the concentration camps and all fell into place. This was the first real encounter with what had occurred during the 2nd WW that I had personally had. I asked myself how in the hell anyone could possibly come to terms with what happened and to this day I still don’t know. I admire those that went through that and came out of it with compassion and forgiveness. Unbelievable some humans. Much respect.
These were the worst crimes against a people. That's what hatred against a nation caused. It's incredible to just think that such actions could have ever existed against our people. Dehumanizing, mind blowing, and yet they were able to accomplished it. But thanks to determination and strength, they survived and will always. Baruch haShem!!!
This really shows the strength of the human being. It's learning to accept that horrible things happen but also that those horrible things can create good people who contributes to our world. Each of these survivors should be considered and admired for rebuilding what was lost. The fact that love prevailed is the true beauty of it, and all those kids born despite the parents being marked for death... It really is a cause for smiling.
