I bought a Minisforum N300 mini, coming from a 7th generation Celeron it's a whole other animal. Also is a machined aluminum case, it feels an looks premium.
No get jmzpc n100 for 130 dollars 11 Gen it runs all new games warzone fortnight etc
I bought mine two days ago and I'm very pleased with it for my intended usage of Web browsing, music, video playback, and software development.
Do you use vscode with that mini pc?
@@ramytch8270 I use it very sparingly to compile custom MicroPython OS updates for the Raspberry Pi Pico. I dont find it nice to use.
N100, for those who don't know, uses basically 4 Alderlake "Little Cores" and is a successor of Atom or Celeron low-power Intel CPUs.
Each newer version gets a decent speed boost, together with enough ram and fast storage they don’t feel like previous Celerons. Although PC games are not where they excel.
@@leepspvideo Looking at n100s because they have AV1 decode. Love to put one on the back of the TV and play movies right off the server with no trans-coding.
Thanks, this is a very good review. The N100 is the high end of the low end CPU's. It's too bad that Intel didn't make its memory double channel.
What makes you think a weak GPU needs more bandwidth 🤣
To show off multi monitors a youtube video live stream is useful; where you can do picture in picture on one monitor & explode the chat from the main page then stick the chat on a separate monitor in portrait and on the third monitor if you were part of the youtube live stream could be your streaming software, or playing a game.
Thanks Lee for the video and review…just don’t make me ride in your Mini …😂!
Have a great day!
I was going to buy a n100.
But I ended up with Dell-wyse-5070 less than $45
It's great for My Home-nas-server
I already got a proper Gaming PC 😁
Was also going for the N100 bought the N97 instead which has a higher GPU Clock for a bit more
I'd really love to get one of these as a mini home server and plex
I wish I could afford a little computer like this
Leeps, if you're going to be doing an ad for a Chinese company, can you please be more transparent about it upfront at the start of the video?
When they sent you the minipc, did they say they would need to review the video first before you uploaded it?
I had no instructions at all from Geekom. They just wanted me to make a video. I have never needed approval for any of my content. Companies regularly offer me products, if I think it will make an interesting video I say yes. I turn down way more products than I accept.
If you buy a n100 system you should know this is a DDR5 version... Cheaper DDR4 versions will perform about 30% less, but even those are a better option for youtube 4k playback then the Pi5. I think I would buy one if the DDR5 version gets as cheap as the DDR4 version is now.
(BTW I think this the end of the reign of the aging ShieldTV. I think many people prefer Windows (or putting x86 linux version on it like Batocera on a seperate external drive!) above Android. )
Being single-channel, the DDR5 version will be useful for a longer time I would think. :-)
Ive seen many tests on robtech channel and the difference was only up to 5%, there are cheaper ddr5 minis than ddr4 ones on AliExpress but they either lack ports or ram so i'm more tempted to buy a more expensive ddr4 one
It is a nice machine but it suffers from the problem that previous generations of Intel base models, at the wrong end of the price spectrum. The already well established Beelink EQ12 is also direct competition that is often discounted as low as £$200.
neat mini! Could you possible provide a link or a name for the flexible monitor arm? Thanks!

Lovely jubbly review video 👍
What are your thoughts about video conference calls (e.g. Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Webex) on N100 devices like this one?
Kindest regards, friends and neighbours.
It won’t struggle with video calls
@@leepspvideo Many kindest thanks.
I have a n6005 and it cost less then this one and it's pretty equal in speed.
Not as much fun as a Pi 5 but, way more successful at Emulation. Take a look at the X1 SBC. All the fun of the pi 5 but with emulation power easily surpassing it.
It is even faster than a Pi5. With video play back it is king but also emulation. The biggest advantage is that it is x86 hardware so much more possibilities running different operating systems.
So this thing is about $300 USD?
How does it compare to a $300 Ryzen mini?
Depends what cpu it is using. Amd CPU’s from the same year at a similar price tend to have better 3D graphics support in games.
If you are not using it for games intel often use less power.
This Pocket sized PC plays GTA V and much more. DFI PCFS51

My N100 gpu, doesn’t go at 100% while gaming. Performance mode and all drivers update! Any solution?
@@Frato69 I hadn’t changed anything in settings for the video. ps3 emulation wasn’t at 100% in the video. PC games were 99% gpu. Is your PC thermal throttling?
These N100s need to drop in price.
They are cheaper with less ram, storage and connectivity
Everything shown here is at stock settings or?
No overclocking, games mostly running on lowest
I was play apex legends an warzone easy on a n100?
No, you need to pick older games for the n100
@@leepspvideo but I have one and I play games on my jmzpc n100 for 130 dollars I play warzone an apex legends easy I’ll post the review
what would be a step up from the n100? would I have to go i3?
Yes

is it recommendable for roblox
also does it overheat after using it for a long time
@@ibnigeria6584 it stays pretty cool. Some Roblox mods will likely want something with more powerful graphics capabilities
Hey test the free fire emulator BlueStacks please ?
Can this mini pc fit a second stick of ram?
The specs say supports up to 16GB of ram. In the video I show that there is only one slot
Tomb raider was running at 1080 low?
I think I had the desktop at 720 as 1080 was even slower
@@leepspvideo hm any other games you've tried since
Not on N100 but I have an N95 laptop review later today. The CPU is very similar @@Gh0styGames
Do you have any other vids w a n100
I don’t, I have an N95 laptop I’m testing soon
can this mini pc to use external vga?
I’m guessing you mean external gpu? I haven’t investigated external gpu’s I would buy a conventional tower PC if I intended to get a graphics card.
N100... Never in my life
You are missing out
They make a good low power server with something like casaos. Easily handles a Plex/Emby Jellyfin stack ;)@@leepspvideo
.... will this work with a egpu ...........
If I was planning to use external graphics I would buy a full size desktop PC.
@@leepspvideo simple question .my scenario may be different to yours..

If it was an advert I wouldn’t be showing games dropping fps to single figures. I wanted to try an N100 as I had seen lots of positive comments, when I was offered one to test I accepted.
🙋
Who is AMD there is low levelf intel peoducts with high performance
Can well all just stop pretending a kensington lock is an actual feature.
It is in a retail environment where it may prevent theft
Sure but kinda loses that purpose in a direct to consumer product.
I can't imagine licensing and implementation is all that cheap.
Just an ad. Ugh. It's not a review! It's an ad in exchange for goods!
I don’t treat it like an advert. I wasn’t given anything to say or mention. I was testing what works and what doesn’t.
Pretty sure most companies give products in exchange for a review, I mean you kinda need the product to review... 🙄
