In 2020 the Pacers didn't have any 1st round picks... now we have the #2, #8, #11, and #13 picks from the 2020 lottery!! This was a GREAT MOVE!!! James is going to LOVE being an Indiana Pacer!!!!
Wiseman fan since golden state….to me you nailed it…well said…and I’m happy I won’t be forced to watch pistons games and content anymore….Indiana seems like a much better environment for him
Look at Nembhard he was a second round pick is a stsrter here. A lot of players have grown here recently in Indiana. Also the draft class Wiseman came from was strong. Ant, Melo, Hali, Tyrese Maxey. Then guys like Obi Toppin and Immanuel Quickley. Such a stacked draft means the former no.2 pick still has potential to me even if it isn't star power potential. A great piece is a great piece.
I honestly believe that in this system, Wiseman has the ability to be a solid 14-15ppg scorer while being a great rebounder that can turn on the jets and get out there in transition, I believe his floor spacing ability will be slowly incorporated at first so that they maximize it by the end of the season when his confidence is back up. His defensive side will be a lot more work in progress but I do see some solid room for him to grow into a quicker lateral defender that has the ability to spring off the ground at high speed matching his opponents to contest or block shots outright, I mean I already saw it from him before in College. From the way that I saw the Pacers using Jalen Smith, I think it's clear to see Wiseman on the potential aspect has a ton more upside to his game than Smith and from just their natural ability he's already an upgrade. I know that this is all still just on the hypothetical side and we'll have to see how the fit pans out once the season starts, but in a low pressure environement like the Pacers who have by far the best and closest locker room in the league, where it seems like everyone believes that the guy next to them will help them get better, where they have the best coach to help young players' thrive in all while being competitive in the process, well all I'll say to that is I'm damn excited to see when this move finally hits the hardwood.
So many great points. I believe the veterans around him will also speed up his learning and development. James Wiseman with the GSW reminded me of Darko Milicic with the Pistons at the beginning where he was so out of place that he was unable to get the support needed to take steps forward and the media got on them so fast that it became a tremendous distraction for their progression. Indiana will be a wealth off support positioning him in the best possible way to be successful and I anticipate him quickly looking the part of what they saw in him.
@@therockneverstops8261 Excellent comparison with Darko, I agree completely and I am also very much anticipating the start of this pairing when the season begins now that James' is in a much better and development friendly/encouraged environement.
I have watched every summer league game g-league game wiseman played in. Pacers are a great fit! The fans are happy to have him! Unlike Detroit. I’m really excited to watch him succeed.
They got a former #2 pick for the veteran minimum. He has definitely shown signs. Pacers will unlock his talent. He has to get used to their pace but he should fit in well. Myles can't extend this season so they have to hope he stays in unresticted FA. He just saw Hartenstein get $30 million. He will want at least that much. There is a chance Pacers lose him or Isiah, who is restricted. Wiseman is the only center under contract after this season. So he has opportunity. James is a big boy. Giannis, Embiid, Porzingis, Allen, Banchero, etc. Pacers need someone a little bigger than Isiah when Myles is out. Pacers have 3 lottery tickets with James, Benn, and Jarace. If two of the three hit this year, look out.
He had the chance in Detroit when Stew went down. They played him and Duren. Wiseman is a finesse big but we needed him to stretch the floor and shoot. Which he wasn't good at.
Wiseman is unplayable in the NBA. he is net negative every time he stepped on the floor and team rebounding, assists all dropped. I would be surprised if they let him play any real mins.
Another Dewight Howard Who Cant Shoot Unless Wide Open Sometimes. He's Not Jokic or Shaq. You Dont Have To Double Him. No Post Move or Chris Bosh Moves. 😀.
@@therockneverstops8261 Yea I'm kind of devastated man. He made it back from the knee injury, but that injury took away some of his explosive nature. Now this injury is far worse for a kid that depends on athleticism. To have these 2 type of injuries as a 23 year old trying to establish himself in the league is heartbreaking. His career was about to take off in Indiana. Carlise was allowing him to shoot pick and pop 3s. ButvLike you said in ur video, "Knock on wood, health". Health got in the way. It's just unfortunate & unfair.
Ha! Bro Stop it. He Aint Better Than Alex Sarr. He Cant Handle The Ball or Shoot Off The Dribble. If Was All That Great Why Does'nt He Average 20 Points or At Least Give Me 15 & 20 Rebounds.
1. It’s obvious you are entirely unfamiliar with Wiseman’s game. 2. Neither are you familiar with Alex Sarr. 3. Why don’t you stop it, do some research on them both and come back and we can talk about it.
It makes total sense, I’m happy for James Wiseman! Great pickup by the Pacers.
Welcome to Indy James. Clean slate!!! Let's roll!!!!

I hope youve been paying attention to James Wiseman this preseason in Indiana. This video is going to age like fine wine.
Oh, I have. 🤩
@@therockneverstops8261 He looks really really good.
Best Wiseman take I've seen.

What did the Pistons get? Now I get why Wiseman has had it so rough. Thanks.
Pistons let him walk for nothing. Shame because they need depth at center and will pay more likely now for another big and get far less.

He has the potential to be more than what he showed in Detroit. Rick Carlisle is a huge upgrade over Monty Williams.
Pacers revive players career. Have for decades but most recently for Obi, Nesmith, Jalen smith, Halliburton
I don’t know if I would have Hali in this list, but yes.
They really do, Pacers are the best way for young talent to develop while remaining competitive.
Nice good job hear from soon

Watch how the guard play makes Wiseman’s career!!

This is ridiculous, asserting that if he doesn’t measure up to a HOF big man he has no value as the Pacers backup Center…
😞😞😞
I knoooooow.. I feel terrible for him. He looked great in those few minutes.
