I adore Caitlin! I'm 62 with 3 grown up 'children' and so wish that I could have listened to her words of wisdom when I was struggling to help them through their teenage years.

Literally 4 minutes in and I feel on a level with this woman!
Although, I was the youngest of 6 and on the receiving end of the blackmail trick! Also from Wolverhampton!

Loved it, it was a perfect podcast, I ADORE her anecdotes and outlook on life, but most of all the sense of joyous urgency with which she delivers her wit ! :D

Completely agree with the comments about teenage years. Now in my late twenties I can see how if my parents had been there more, it would have benefited me. Not that they were terrible parents of course... When you're a teenager you don't always wait or plan to say what you feel. It's such a difficult time and you really need as much support/empathy as possible!

Really enjoyed this one. Listened to it as a podcast mind you but thought I would comment here! Really enjoyed the end of the discussion about how women tend to take the mental load of family life , even when husbands/partners are hands on, it’s still different eh? Really resonated with me. My husband is amazing but when he is with the children, nothing else gets done or gets thought of, whereas I will have been with the kids and done two loads of washing, emptied the dishwasher and done some housework around them. 😂 xx

Really related to the part about teenagers letting things build up until it gets to the point where they let it go but not being able to until that one moment. I was in the situation of wanting to see my Dad but it took at least a year to say it. It has taken me 14 years to come to terms with the situation of not being able to see him despite him living less than 40 miles away. I am okay with it now, it doesn't hurt so much. The turn around has only really happened in the last month. I loved this interview, laughed so much at the talk about the cervix, losing the tampon and her husband in his pants in the birthing pool.

One cuts, the other chooses was how my brother and I would have to divide food. It's the best way when there's two of you but it doesn't work as well with more.

If you have ever seen or heard an interview with C.M before, you will of heard all these stories.
I have read two of her books that were very entertaining but the live delivery of this women is too fast, way too manic and a trifle Groundhog Day.
