I like this guy! His facial expressions make my day. I want to see him forever. Thanks for the sense of humour and happiness you bring via stamps to our lives.
Yes sir, been a collector for 65 years. I hope that younger people will get into it.
That’s exactly the same of me!
I’ve been very fortunate to have my grandsons into collecting now. They really enjoy it now and have learned a lot. They have been doing some “# Philately”
We just went to the Hatteras lighthouse and took pictures with our 25 cent Hatteras lighthouse stamps.
They like the adventures outside with their stamps. 😊
I do from I was 8, now I am 35 and still are in love. My sons 7 dinosors, he loves that period/9 chess and art stamps /14 war stamps and they also love it. I am really happy that they have there own likes.
There is nothing better than a surprise bag full of stamps in different variations. 😍
I like your emotional way when you talk about stamps and the stories behind collecting
Stamps are the best
Stamp life is certainly alive in my household, and I am sure many thousand others around the world, your very lucky, some great packets there.
I’d say this will keep you busy for the rest of the winter…..but there’s no winter this year. We had almost 1” of snow in Ohio last night and that’s probably it.
I’ve Ben collecting since age 8 and I’m almost 60 now and I can tell you for sure I learned more from this hobby than any school ever taught me!
Well said!!
You are doing a great job of advertising Philately.
Another great vid, some amazing stamps, I don't know if I'd want to keep the space album opened or not, who knows what gems lie within it.
Glad you liked the packet I sent..... thanks for another good philatelic hobby video !
I saw your interest at the Duck stamp😂 so I recommend to u to the new magazine stampEd, the is an article about Duck stamps
I greatly expanded my investment in stamps and collecting the year my father passed. It kept me sane and greatly helped me deal with the grief. I suppose any hobby can do that, but stamps are a direct connection to the past and since my dad also enjoyed the hobby, I felt like I was communing with him in a way. I cried a lot at first, especially when going through the album as a child he helped me build, but without stamps, I could very well have become lost in my grief. I have since built a major collection and I like to think he was guiding me all the way.
Thank you for sharing! And I can relate, the photo hanging in my stamp den is of the philatelist in my family... I find such a connection to him, through the hobby...
This is a great video! I love getting a package of random stamps. I recently inherited my dad’s and father in law’s small stamp albums. In my dad’s was drawings he did for a biology class when he was in high school. There was also a very small piece of paper with what looks to be answers to a test. Did he cheat? We will never know 😂😅 I’ve had so much fun looking through both.
Nice stamps.
Bigtom: Same here since April 1959.
Glad you liked the stamps I sent! I was excited to get yours in return.
Loved STNG< had aBIG CRush on Doc Crusher (Gotta ove those redheads!!)
Stamp Collection is an addiction... There needs to be a 12 step program!!!
I'm reminded of an old Mighty Mighty Bostones lyric... "what you call the disease, I call the remedy..." :)
Good Afternoon Mr Silk Hope all is well for you and your family. Been a little busy and haven’t sent your next stamp shipment. But it’s on its way with a nice cancellation from the San Diego Stamp Show. I just purchased my first Davo album and looking forward to working on it. As always Happy Collecting Ken
You're too kind!!
Can't quit! it's an obsession....
Every time I see the Devil's Tower stamp, I think of Close Encounters of the Third Kind....lol. And Star Wars is science fantasy, whereas Star Trek is science fiction. There is a big difference. Star Trek is a much more cerebral genre of fiction.
I'm not a collector but I do enjoy your show for the history...There is one stamp I would really like to have though if your listeners could help me out. I know nothing of Stamps but would love to get the Canada Oscar Peterson stamp. Maybe someone could guide me somehow. Thank you to you and your followers in advance friend. Peace be with you all. 😎👊🎸
