I started listening to Run DMC when I was 9. Others tried to make fun of me, but the culture followed and so did the others who tried to diss me. I saw Run DMC at Syracuse University before JMJ was killed. A group tried to go on after them with some corny song about "Girl take your panties off..." the crowd boo'ed and left and they stopped their goofy attempt to follow Run DMC. I also was lucky enough to see The Beastie Boys down in Baltimore before MCA passed. Dreams come true.

Really an extraordinary piece of meta art. A documentary film about a form of experiential collage/photography/travel art about a music group. And extremely well done.

I'm sorry but that culture of early hip-hop is long gone.. the fun, the positivity, the metaphorical battle raps (not actual murderous shooting feuds).. it's been gone for decades, replaced by dark, demonic, regressive, low-consciousness primitive lyrics and behavior. . . and I might add - weak snare drums that sound like a BB dropping on a sheet of aluminum foil.
