I seen the negative comment about not showing noas face and it honestly upsets me :(. It’s a boundary that is completely normal to have! Please don’t ever let these small silly comments get into your head. I think it’s too normalized to force influencers to share every aspect of their lives… you don’t owe us a thing! It’s so healthy to keep things to yourself! Sending love momma 💚
I totally understand you limiting Noa's face on camera. Just seeing his little body, fingers and toes is so special. As a grandma of a 1 year-old I've enjoyed seeing my daughter embrace motherhood. So happy for you and your little family.
i love that you are protecting noa's privacy, and i think it should be mentioned how long it must take in editing! you're doing great girl. so glad i've gotten to see your journey! :)
Hi Sissel You look beautiful ❤ I have one son, he was my experimental rabbit, I knew nothing but you learn as you go, thats it. Please be kind to yourself as you gonna make mistakes. First time going out with the baby is scary....I remember I'm so proud of you and love watching you learn your new life It is fascinating isn't 😊 Kisses and hugs from Toronto ❤
the opening made me sob. i have been watching you for years and i love the woman you have become. you inspire me so much!! happy new year to you and your family!!!
the way it was so daunting when you went shopping - then you think of poor parents who have to take flights with their babies, and people give them dirty looks when their baby cries - parenthood really helps give you a whole new level of compassion and patience for others. we went from canada to australia and back (30 hours each way) to visit family who couldn’t travel, when our girl was 9 months. she was amazing, didn’t cry at all, but the stress of not wanting to annoy people was intense 😅 most people were lovely though, and she was a grandma magnet 🥲 so proud of us for passing that boss level! 😜
YES ! The dirty looks from people is what stresses me out, although I haven’t experienced it yet. I think those looks will come when you experience tantrums from toddlers maybe 😭💚 Good on you with such a trip!
Sissel I've been a silent watcher for a long time and seeing you become a mom is amazing and beautiful! I love that you don't show Noa's face, and how you are handling things is inspiring, watching you get out of your comfort zone and try something new was honestly my favorite part of today's video! Your face after and excitement was so contagious and I can honestly say that you've inspired me to do that, get out of my comfort zone and go for it! Also, you've probably already heard of this but I saw a korean mom I follow on here try paraffin wax for her wrist/joint pain after she had her first baby! Thought it might be worth mentioning :) I admire you and I'm so happy for you and your family! Happy new year and may this year bring you all health and amazing moments.
You are doing so well. Momming is a constant triage. And, you did it! You took your son, your two bags of groceries, and found a safe place. You addressed his needs AND did what you needed to do. I am so, so very proud of you.
Its weird in this day and age people still find seeing a mom nursing her baby so uncomfortable. Like its taboo. God gave us boobs to feed our babies. It's so good you're overcoming your fears with trying new things with just you and Noa! You got this, Mom.
In this world we live in, people who want to see your childs face, who aren't family/friends and are angry, because you don't show it, are freaking creeps! Keep your child safe ❤ your content is about you and your experience, not about your child. I follow a women, becoming a mother not a child growing up.❤
I want to remind you that the day you prepared and changed him and fed him, only to repeat, and repeat…only to hit the time you had to call it off prepared you for the day you succeeded. You are doing wonderfully. (P.S. I’ve come to think of myself as one of your motherhood cheerleaders. You got this, Momma.)
Watching you conquer motherhood inspires me and puts me in ease, I'm so used to hearing about the difficulties and the disadvantages that I wasn't sure if I'll be able to ever be a mom, but watching your journey puts me in different perspective and reminds that we're built for it and it may be hard, but not impossible and there are so many beautiful sides to it.
I’m so glad it’s been helpful to you 💚 unfortunately there’s so much scarcity online when it comes to kids, and ofc it’s tough but we gotta remember all the magic that comes with it 💚
I became a mom on 24th of December. 🩵I have very strong fears and also do not dare to visit new places. I'm afraid to breastfeed in public, but you inspire me so much and I know that I'm not alone with my fears. Thank you so much for your true words. I wish you and Noa all the best ♥️
Aww congrats love ! What a Christmas miracle 💚 in the first couple of weeks I was even so scared just to go for a 10 min walk with him, so don’t you worry, your fears are normal! And you’ll feel more and more confident the more you do it, you just gotta take that leap and do it. Sending so much love to you and your family 💚
Sissel, it's the first time I write a comment under your videos. I am also a new mom and my baby boy is now 8 weeks old. So your motherhood content resonates with me 100%! I struggle so much with the same issues as you. Leaving the house and confronting myself with places I used to love to visiting is sooo challenging. Scared of baby boy crying, scared of nursing in public, scared of baby overheating and so on. And I know that those worries are quite unreasonable but still they remain. I would love to see a video of you talking about this topic more in depth and it would bring me much more confidence, because I get to know that those anxiousness is a quite normal part of motherhood at least in the beginning of it.
Waching your videos is sooo comforting and it feels less lonely to face challenges seeing you facing the ones of motherhood the way you do! I hope all the best for you, Jake and Noa, and a 2025 year even better than 2024!
Thank you, Sissel. :) So reassuring hearing you say how proud you are of yourself taking your newborn out. My daughter is about a week older than yours and today I took her to 2 shops in the pram for the first time. I was really nervous if she started crying in the store while I’m getting groceries and I don’t know where to feed her but she was actually totally fine and almost started crying but didn’t. I also just want to be brave and face my fears instead of not doing the things I love and need to do because I’m worried about what could happen. 😅
So proud of you Sissel! I may not be a mom but it's truly inspiring seeing you achieve everything you set your mind into and being the incredible mother you are 💚
Sissel you are such a BADASS! You should be very proud of your accomplishments! I love watching you face your fears and challenges by trying new experiences on your own. You really are an inspiration. A huge round of applause as you tackled a dirty diaper with such a fancy blouse. I could never lol I lived in leggings and oversized tshirts after my daughter was born. She was born during the pandemic in 2020 so there really was no point in getting dressed up if we were just stuck at home lol
Happy New Year!💚 I think Jake just had a stomach bug, otherwise you would also became ill from the food. Because you both were eating the same. So, you're cooking is fine. 😅 Noa is getting so big already! He really is a Korean Viking!💪🏻💚 I'm so proud of you, that you are facing your fears, and finding out that things aren't as scary as they are in your head. And with getting older and wiser, you will learn that other people's opinions doesn't matter. You do what feels/is good for you and your family. ❤ Sending love from the Netherlands.❤️ 🇳🇱
I ate a small portion and Jake went in for seconds and thirds, I did feel a bit of rumbling the same night but otherwise didn’t get sick 💚 Thank you so much! 💚
Feeling so much compassion for your anxiety about bringing baby Noa to new places ❤️ It sounds like you handled yourself phenomenally, well done for remembering breathing techniques! 😂 Also odd that Jake would get food poisoning but you not if you’re eating the same thing… but then I’m sure a nursing mother has some special superpower to prevent that!
Love seeing you succeed when you push yourself to do something new and scary. Honestly, its inspiring and I don't even have a baby. You've totally inspired me to do something that makes me nervous but I've always wanted to do. Its so innocuous, just finding a park and walking, but sometimes the unknown is a barrier. Thank you, Sissel!!
I LOVE sharing my motherhood journey alongside you! I had my first baby in october and to one scandinavian new mom to another: you can do this! You're such a good mom!
It’s so amazing to watch you sharing your experiences as a new mom. It’s such a special experience watching kids grow (I feel this with my school kids). Noa seems to be a very talkative baby. Always responding to what’s happening around him. I wonder what he’ll be like once he can talk 🤭 By the way, I’ve been using Ownist since I saw your previous recommendation video. I used to use a different one before that but it was so sweet I didn’t like it. This is much better and I do find I have less acne breakouts when I’m taking it.
I am charmed by your videos - I look back on those days, fifty years ago! - when I was a new mother. How I loved carrying my daughter in front in the little red ‘snugly’ and giving her a kiss on her soft forehead. I did not find it difficult to breastfeed in public (discretely) in California. I was so worried when one strand of my long hair got caught around her little finger! The joys and fears of new motherhood still seem like yesterday. I wish you and your family all the best in this new year. ❤
I just love seeing your motherhood journey😍things you learn, how you are happy with little things😍makes seeing myself as a mum in the future less scary❤

Hey Sissel! Your latest holiday vlog was so cozy - loved seeing your Christmas decorations and that cookie baking session! 🎄 As a video editor, I always admire your editing style and warm aesthetics. Would love to collaborate and handle the editing for you while you focus on creating more amazing content. Your style matches exactly what I enjoy working with! Let me know if you'd like to chat about working together ✨
So happy to see you back. Are people really mad you're not showing your son's face?! That's insane. It's his and yours privacy. Anyway, happy new years to your lovely little family!
Happy New Year from Germany🎉 You're doing so good. Your videos and Noa remind me so much of when I had my first child, also a boy. He was that chunky as well and had a head full of hair, so people always thought, he was older than he actually was. He's gonna be 20yo this year 😮 and has two sisters (17 & 13).
Happy new years Sissel, Jake, and the precious addition Noaaaaaa✨🤧💚! May the new year bring only joy and success in every aspect of the word. 9:10 noooo second time getting food poison, Sissel what happened?!😅😭 Sending love from NYC👏🏽!
I really like your videos they are very high quality and cozy and you have amazing positive vibes literally my favorite UA-camr in 2024 and this year as well wish you all the best ❤❤❤
Happy New Year for you and your little family 🤍 I always appreciate your honesty, it is truly so inspiring! I was wondering where are your earrings from? They look so classy ✨
