Thank You for sharing your New Years with us💖 I had Olivier Salad here in Georgia 😋 and way too much Georgian food.😁 I wish You the Very Best for 2025!🙏 You are Loved Nastya!! 💖
I married a Russian immigrant in the 80s. His mother was a restaurant cook, and I took it on myself to learn her recipes so I could cook for her son. I love the traditional cooking! The beet salad was a mainstay at restaurants in Chicago. My dear Mother in law has passed but I cherish her and her love to make food. I still make it to this day.
I showed this video to my Ukraine/Polish Husband. He was salivating and loving every dish that was made. His mom would make some of this food,,, but his favorite is the ‘Galaretka’ I’ll go the the Polish store at least once a month to buy it for him. Have a blessed New Year 🎉
My mum who is polish but living in France since 69 years cooks galareta all time to my father, watching Polish TV all day with its beautiful traditions ❤
I lived and worked in St. Petersburg for years, and I miss not only the food, but the social aspects of it. My family used to worry about me "finiding enough to eat" there, when in fact, I struggled to eat less. Delightful country, people, and culture.
@Englishman_2001AD Typical ra?ist. I lived in Ireland for less than 6 years and I would do anything for that country. I absolutely adore Ireland and the Irish to the core. The amount of fresh fish, pastries, meat, prepared salads, etc is fantastic! I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and our grocery store chains have nowhere near the types of food you can get there. Happy New Year to you and your family!
Happy Russian Christmas and New Year....my grandma was Polish and we grew up here in the USA with lots of Russians and Ukrainians plus one Ilalia family nextdoor...I'm familiar of this wonderful food...Peace and Goodwill to all peoples.
We have a dish in scotland called hairy tatties ( hairy potatoes) it uses salt fish usually cod and mashed through the potatoes. It is amazing how your salt fish has a fur coat and ours makes our potatoes "hairy". I love traditional dishes Your fur coat salad looks much more colourful 😊 the traditional foods you have made here I would love to try
In Bulgaria we also call it Russian Salad and it is a must on every New Year's Eve because we know about it from the Russian people who helped our nation so much in difficult times.
Happy New Year! I am polish and we do both 'russian' salad (however we call it 'vegetable salad' and we do not use meat) and herring one :) I never tried crab sticks salad, I will try it for sure. Our veins are full of mayo 🤗♥️
These recipes are all new to me. I have never eaten Russian food. The herring salad looked really good, I am going to make it and try it out. I really loved seeing your cute little boy playing in the park in the snow. He is so so cute. It reminded me of when my son was his age. I love snow and the beautiful park covered in snow was so wonderful to see. I am happy that you have such a loving family and that you and your boys are surrounded with love. Happy New Year Nastya to you, your boys, and your family!!
As a bulgarian which parents (both bulgarian) met while studying in Russia, selyodka pod shuboy is a staple in out new years table. This is a salad every person should try

You have brought so many memories in my heart. WOnderful video Dear Nastya. Happy Healthy New Year to you and yours! Growing up in Socialist Czechoslovakia we were so close to Russian culture. I remember buying "Russian eggs" salad in the supermarket..it was hard boiled egg with pieces of ham, peas, potatoe and lots of mayo. Also we have a dish your cholodnoje. which we call studeno. My grandma used to make it the best...cooked bones and skins of pork and meat for hours and when it cooled it set as jello and we would put onions and a bit of vinegar on the top and eat it with bread. Deserts were fantastic, that torte! Thank you for sharing this with us. Take care, Regards Jana x

Happy new year from Bulgaria! Russian salad is a must here as well, although your version is different to what we usually make here- we use ham instead of beef, and there is no onion. Your videos are bringing me back to my childhood when life was slower and a lot simpler in general.

Nastya, this was so much fun ! Thank you for sharing all the cooking and the dishes and your family's New Year's celebration with all of us. It was so wonderful to watch you and your mother prepare the salads and the dishes. And it looked like the dough you bought was what is called Phyllo Dough here in USA and I have to say your pizza idea with it looked delicious ! All the beautiful dishes set out looked amazing. Your grandmother's salted salmon and every single dish so special. When the cakes were cut I actually gasped with awe . . . wow !!! Oh they looked incredible - first time for me to see such treats. Anyway I really enjoyed your video and wish you and your family a very Happy New Year. from the Southern California mountains P.S. really interesting to watch you and your mom cook these traditional Russian New Year's dishes! I can't believe the amount of meat and produce you have available in the middle of winter in Siberia. That is fascinating. How your country has grown and prospered in the last 50 years is really amazing. I love watching your channel. My ancestors came from Russia to North America in the late 1800's and I love all things Russian, most of all your genius writers! Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Checkov. Blessings to you and your family in 2025! :)
I love learning about your traditional dinners. They are so interesting and I love them and I just enjoy them and I especially love it when the family cook together.
Happy New Year for 2025 from Santiago de Chile. Celebrations are similar in most countries, when the family gets together. It is so wonderful. I thought here in Chile we were crazy about mayonnaise, but I think Russians won!!,! Hahahaha. The menu was fantastic, We had Russian Salad for our Christmas Eve celebration, it is when Latin Americans have the main Christmas dinner with family and friends, and like you, we cook too much and then we eat the same menu for a whole week!!!! A big hug for you, your Granny, Mom , and the two boys. Best wishes. ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎊🛍️🥂🥂🥂.
I just love your videos, seeing your life in Russia. I'm in Chicago here in America. I'm Polish and while our dinners aren't exactly like yours, they're something like yours. I loved seeing all you do for the holidays, you seem to celebrate New Years and not Christmas, we do both here. Anyway, have a wonderful New Year, I hope this channel does very well and grows!
Your herring salad reminds me of cariations of Labkaus in northern Germany. Russian salad is familiar, so is the Russian braid pastries in your bakery, and my husband loves meat in aspic (jelly) , another quite German thing! The cherry cake looks yummy, well everything does, happy new year!
I enjoyed seeing your traditional meal, I think the crab salad would be my favorite. The cake with walnuts on top looked very good, thank you for sharing with us. From USA.
Thank you for sharing your New Years traditional food. I love learning about other traditions.I am from the American south. Here we have black eyed peas and ham hock served over rice. It brings good fortune and prosperity!
Your story touches me so much. I am also a single mom, living in a foreign country all by myself with and for my kids. I am deeply unhappy in the country. I admire how you just got the fathers to let you move…. My kids are almost grown now so I will be free in a few years. Just wanted to share that. Your story touches people. I never grieved the loss of my home country, was just strong for the kids
