What a beautiful sight. Children in the outdoors without smartphones. ❤️

Wouldn't be a bad things for adults to do as well. If nothing else, it would be good practice for walking around in the pitch dark. Always assuming they had to do so for some reason, like a power cut. Have seen so many people hurt themselves because their electricity prepayment meter has ran out of money. And they are just moving around their home, let alone out in the woods!
    Nice one Tom. Thanks!

Not at all, but such things tend to happen unexpectedly and the items you mention dont happen to be sitting right next to them when the power gone off. I'd of thought that bit obvious, but you can never be too sure.

Don't you have to walk in the dark to get to the candle, the battery and the flashlight?

I have done blindfold string walks for both adults and kids, and the adults often had more fun than the kids! Lol

Hey Tom, i love that idea! As a scout im spending alot of time with children out in the forests, if u have some more amazing ideas like this string-walk i would really love to hear them!
Something we like to do is putting the children into groups of 2 and preparing some stations where they have to do tasks like make things (sticks, leaves, farn,...) out by touch. The path between the stations are marked by easy signs made with sticks or stones. Depending on the age of the children we differ the difficulty of tasks, length between stations and difficulty of signs on the ground (idk the english name for those signs...directly translated its something like ranger signs).
Greetings, keep up the great work!
