Winnipeg fire fighters battle Sutherland ave industrial fire

Winnipeg fire crews battle fire at vacant Sutherland ave industrial building:
Shortly before 1:00 am Saturday morning, Wps personnel were patrolling in the area of Sutherland ave and maple st when they came across a fire in a vacant industrial building in the 100 block of Sutherland ave.
WFPS crews were dispatched and found the building fully engulfed in the rear of the structure. Crews launched a defensive attack using an aerial ladder truck and hand lines to apply water to the fire.
An excavator was ordered to the scene to assist crews by moving debris and exposing hot spots. The fire was declared extinguished at 6:11 am.
No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.
