I would choose the Lynx over the Adventure unless you are trying to mainly stick to off-road trails. We will try to do a comparison, it just depends on when this baby is coming.
@@Andrew-vt4jt Thanks for the feedback. I'm definitely leaning towards the Lynx. I don't do the crazy jumps that would play to the V14's strength but the one major draw of the V14 for me is the relative ease of changing the tire and batteries.
The V14 caught Andrew just at the right time, the mid life crisis of a baby on the way made him go after those tricks harder to chase his youth, respect to the new soon to be Father :) ...Also I wonder if we can get a lynx vs V14 comparison video, I'm battling with myself on which to get. I feel like with the release date these two are the main competitors than any other wheel.
We will try to do a comparison video soon. It just depends on when this baby comes. I've been living a mid life crisis my whole life taking unecessary risk. 🤣

Nice wheel, good review. I think that tall trolley handle is more susceptible to bending.
The tall trolley handle is nice but they are definitely susceptible to bending if you accidentally drop it while extended. The last trolley handle I broke was Wrong Way's EXN that was only 5 days old. The elevator door shut on the wheel while I was entering and I dropped the wheel. 🤣
I almost want you to get one of these just for the ease of battery removal so that i can ship it with me when i’m traveling.

Has the v14 had any safety issues within the community since this video got made? What batch are they on now? I’ve been out of the scene for a while.
I was so turned off by Inmotion after the whole v12 situation that I’m already forgetting the details of. I vowed never to buy into hype and buy first gen wheels again (I returned the v12 out of safety concerns and got an 18xl).
Sooo with that said, I see this video is now 8 months old and the v14 has had some amount of time to “bake” (if there were issues they’d have popped up in the community by now)

Aloha! Mahalo for supporting the channel. The Adventure is more inspiring for jumps but the Lynx is a all around more inspiring wheel. I love them both but if I had to choose one, I would go with the Lynx.

The new technology is definitely helping me feel more confident on a EUC.
VERY disappointing that the orange panels got removed for newer batches and no mention that the orange will still be available 😥. The orange panels was a selling point for me.
I thought about that too but I bet you could find another owner to trade panels with.

@@s0d4c4n this is a small community, and there are only so many channels devoted to EUC reviews. two big names having trouble with the same wheel raises concern, small sample size or not.

Hey, on their website, it comes with pads. How come you guys didn’t get pads? 🤔 I would look into that.

I'm looking (along with a couple friends) into getting our first EUCs. The V11/V11Y as well as V12HT seem like good values, but I'm not crazy about the V12 not having any suspension, then the V11 is down on range and the suspension is just an air shock. Makes me think if I'm looking into the $1600-2000 range, it may be better to wait longer and save up $3000 for this if it is basically the best overall, comes with features and would prevent me from wanting to get an upgrade in 1-2 years.
I’m in the same boat. I think I’m going to wait and save a little more to get this wheel as it seems much more capable. The only thing I’d mention is the v11Y and the v14 have similar range despite the size of battery. This is due to higher speeds, weight and other various factors. If you’ve never ridden an electric unicycle I’d consider doing some lessons before purchasing a wheel and figuring out your riding style. V11Y is a great commuter and a light off road wheel.

How does the fact you weigh 220 freedom units , show how much torque it takes to climb log pile ! It only shows it has enough torque to do said job !

I just picked up a patton since I was a bit suspicious of some of the raptor controller issues as well as the fact that I don't want a first batch wheel. My big question is whether you bottomed out at all during your riding? Personally that's my biggest issue with the patton but it doesn't have a progressive spring
I never felt that I bottomed out on the V14 even when dropping 6 feet.

Like apples and oranges. This is smaller and slower but more agile and less expensive.

Do you want a spring or air suspension? Do you want to do drops? Do you want a centered trolley handle? Do you want waterproof batteries? Do you want to fit your wheel on a bus? Do you want to customize/swap your batteries? Or do you just want the biggest, fastest wheel possible at any cost?

How's the seated riding like???
It is a little short for seated riding but it rides fine seated.
It is not 9kw output that is input , if it was 100% efficient it would be but the electrical efficiency and bearing drag etc. lower this considerably a lot of this energy is converted into heat , otherwise motor wouldnt get hot and wheel could spin forever in air once spun . Also the controller gets hot too .
