Giethoorn: A Magical Evening Exploring the "Venice of the Netherlands" | 4K | GoPro 11

- Welcome to Giethoorn, a magical village in the heart of the Netherlands. What makes Giethoorn truly special is its lack of cars. In the old part of the village you need to use a boat to reach your house. The charming wooden boats, known as "whisper boats," silently glide through the waterways, surrounded by picturesque thatched-roof houses. Giethoorn with its romantic canals and 176 bridges is often referred to as "Venice of the Netherlands." I was there right before sunset and managed to capture the magic of this place with my GoPro 11. So please, have a seat, relax and wander with me through narrow footpaths and over-arched bridges, embracing the peace and tranquility that this place has to offer. Well, the village used to be a tranquil oasis and was a favorite vacation destination for the Dutch but in recent years it has become a tourist trap. I was there late in the evening just when all the boat rentals were shutting down and managed to enjoy a relatively peaceful walk. If you plan to visit, i would suggest you either go early in the morning or late in the evening, otherwise you will be surprised by the hordes of tourists that plague this place.

I'd like to visit this place!
It's definitely worth visiting, it's really beautiful. You can also rent a boat and drive through all the little canals. But you must either go very early or late in the evening cause it can get really crowded.
This place looks really awesome, i hope the tourists don't ruin it! 🥴🤣 Also, where's the other half of the Beetle? 😆
It's already too overcrowded, i was there after the boat rentals had closed and could film without too many people but during the day it's chaos...I feel sorry for the people living there... His wife took the other half 😂

Well yeah but I'm self-aware enough to know that I would ruin my videos if I started doing narrations at this point. I would love to try speaking in more vlog style posts in future travels... But cinematic narration is a totally other level and I don't have that skill. Also English is not my first language 😅
