The first one in line is the Afsluitdijk. Rivers flood into designated areas to avoid, no flooding again from rivers either. You should know that the provinces Friesland, Noord Holland, Zuid Holland and Zeeland would flood it dykes and dams would burst. Dykes and other water management systems are extremely well maintained. We can not live here without them.
I live about 2 hours drive away from this village. I made a reservation of a hotel and spent 3 days, it was full of peace. Living life close to the nature is just a different experience.
We went here last year, this general area of Holland is beautiful but Giethoorn is amazing. Even with the over abundance of terrible boat driving tourists, this place is definitely magical. We made the loop twice, had lunch, saw tons of geese and a beautiful "Guard dog" protecting his domain.
Its a great. Only word came in mind after viewing this is "wow". Really god given beauty. However people of Netherlands also maintained this beauty. Such a great video. 💐👍🏻
beautiful visuals! I will probably never get to visit here and it's wonderful to see. I like the bits without music much better than the parts with music, just the ambient noise is pleasant and the songs are kind of overpowering. this is very cool, thanks for sharing it.

Здесь просто есть законы, контролирующие соблюдение порядка...Обязательной является стрижка травы возле своего дома, уборка мусора...за несоблюдение - штраф...А также большие налоги берутся с зарплаты людей, которые идут в том числе на восстановление всех этих мостиков , обкашивание травы по берегам речки...У нас же нет этого, оттого и беспорядок.

I dont know about this village, but in the Netherlands in general, buying a house is much easier/cheaper than renting a house....There is a long waiting list if someone wants to rent an apartment or a house. This is a sad reality.
@@FazelAdventures It is easy to buy a house in the Netherlands, but Dutch houses are not cheap. Even an apartment in filthy neighbourhood of a large city is 200.000 euro. The houses you see in this video can be bought, if you want to spend 2 million euro. We have a serious problem with housing in the Netherlands due to immigration. We used to have 15 million people in the Netherlands in 1995 and now we have 18mio. I am renting. Took me 10 years, waiting in line, to get a house I am pleased with. Most people in the Netherlands do not live in houses like you see in this video.

For all young poeple living in Giethoorn and feeling lonely or boring, God blessed you, it's better than any Country or City.
