A tremendous race ... Imagine riding for over 7 1/2Hours and losing by 1mm!!! Admired the effort of Martial Gayant chasing in last few kilometers ..notice the huge gear he is `pushing` (after 260+ klm`s!!!) Can remember watching it LIve on Eurosport-ish? Halcyon days . . .
There actually is a TOUGHER race than Paris Roubaix. It's called the "Tour de Gimp" where they break one of the legs of each rider before the start (the rider does have the choice of which leg to break). Initially they were going to break BOTH legs, but decided that would just be silly.
Funny, no European broadcasting company would ever put music under a summary of any bike race, only Americans do that. As if racing bicycles in itself is not heroic enough.
All roads lead to 5 of diamonds. Thank you for posting Classic Cycling. ♥

Honestly...That looked like a very "European" decision on who won...
Clearly they can see the other guy won. No doubt about it 1:32:13 😂
Official Verdict: 1 mm 1:33:15 😜

Phil comments on the trend to pony tails started by Robert Millar. I think Robert Millar had his own reasons for wearing a pony tail. 😀
How dare youuuu!?!?!

Clearly is not the word but I agree
Can’t have a North American win on Euro soil.
