Update: The Q12 is not to be seen as an UPGRADE to the K688’s own built-in audio interface, which is arguably better because it has no interference/static. This video was released right after I got the K688 and when it appeared that the pops and clicks on it were due to its internal parts. I even bought a second K688 and the distortion persisted in that one. I later found it that the issue was that the included cable in the K688 was a USB 2.0 cable. You need to get a USB 3.0 cable. (Note: USB-C is just the shape of the connector but does NOT guarantee USB 3.0 speeds. The included one had a Type-C end but was 2.0). However, the Q12 is still a handy interface to have, as it lets you play back your computer audio, record more than one mic input, and is relatively more affordable versus higher-end interfaces so you can become familiar with how an interface works. I know I avoided interfaces for years and stuck to USB mics. If the Q12 at least lets you understand how they work, and gives you the courage to get a better interface later, for $29, the added features and learning should make it worth it in the long run. If you want the first true upgrade to the K688, consider the Behringer UMC204 HD which has better preamps than the Q12 and converts the audio into 24-bit. If your use case is just gaming, you may not need that upgrade at all if you aren’t picky. For recordings, 24-bit gives you less distortion when you edit in post, a lower-noise floor, and more dynamic range. For a major upgrade to an interface with better preamps and features, consider the Vocaster One or 2 for podcasting, streaming, and content, as they have EQ in software and great preamps. For recording, there’s the Motu M2. I’ve used it around the clock for 3 years for all my professional voice over applications. My musician wife uses an SSL 2+, which performs similarly. Here’s my review of the Vocaster 2, which sounds as good as the Vocaster One: ua-cam.com/video/DJFChOch2Mo/v-deo.htmlsi=lk-LqATooC4wwn-G
Hi Dave, I was wondering about the USB drivers, if it's plug and play? I'm thinking of using one for my work laptop with a dynamic microphone, but I don't have admin rights to the device, hence no manual driver installations.
@@DaveSoltura i hope you will reply to me I bought SoloCast for 5 months now and it’s very good i use it for chatting with friends and little bit of making UA-cam videos but when i play with my brother we are in the same room and chating with friends it will pick up my brother voice and make echo so I considered buing i dynamic mic fifine k669d ....... so is this interface will handle it + is my choice is good dynamic with this interface or in the beginning i want the vocaster one but is very expensive then the mic it self so I kept searching Edit or buying the maono pd100
Just so everyone knows what Dave is using is a mixer. When it comes to solo livestreaming or podcasting mixers are good enough. But if you want to record two audios and treat them as two separate tracks well you can't with a cheap mixer. There's a difference between an audio interface vs mixer. This Teyun is a cheap mixer and all input sound is mixed into 1 track. Only the more expensive multichannel mixers has multitrack/multichannel recording. An audio interface that has 2 inputs at minimum are treated as two separate tracks. Here's a scenario, for example, you have a podcast with a guest and both of you have individual mics, if you are using an audio interface with 2 inputs, your voice will be recorded as track 1 while your guest's mic will be on track 2, and each can be edited separately. If using a mixer, the sound from both mics will be mixed as track 1 and so you can't edit the two voices separately. Here's another scenario, you want to record a song while you are singing and playing an instrument at the same time. With an audio interface like Focusrite or Behringer your vocals and the instrument sound will be on separate tracks, but with a mixer both your vocals and the instrument sound will be mixed as one track, thus making it near impossible to edit the voice and instrument sound separately. If you are looking to record audio into separate tracks always look for multichannel or multitrack recording feature on any audio interface or mixer. Update: So Dave just checked if Teyun records separate tracks, and what do you know this mixer does! I stand corrected!
@@DaveSoltura I stand corrected! Good to know that it CAN simultaneously separate tracks by pushing the ST Pan or To Stereo button before recording. Recent mixers from China has really gone a long way. Most cheap mixers cannot do multichannel recording hence the need for audio interfaces (or mixers with multi channel recording/stereo pan) to get a clean separate signal.
@@DaveSoltura Oh and this new reply is just further clarification for everybody to read. Just to expand on the limited capabilities of budget multichannel USB mixers that are more pricey than the Teyun Q12. Most (not all) budget USB mixers has a pan knob that does the same job as the ST Pan button on the Teyun Q12. You CAN record and separate a stereo mix into separate left and right mono signals but there are limitations when recording mixers via USB . Most mixers (not all) can only record 1 stereo track or push 2 separate output tracks since this is still a stereo mix even if you pan all channels left and right to separate the signals (2 mono in 1 stereo mix). A 4/6 input channel USB mixer can only push out a 2 output signal to the PC via USB ; you can do 2 channel in and 2 channel out but not a 4/6 channel in and 4/6 channel out. Audio interface doesn't have this stereo output limitation, you can record separate tracks at the same time, you are only limited to how many input channels you've got. Here's an article for full explanation: www.musicrepo.com/audio-interface-vs-mixer/ If mixer is still your thing, there are multichannel USB mixers out there than can do both worlds, hands-on hardware control and multichannel separate track recording via USB, just look at the manual or product description if it has this feature. Here are some: thehomerecordings.com/mixers-usb-multitrack/
48V power won't hurt a dynamic mic. It is absolutely required for condenser microphones. Where it might cause damage is on a ribbon mic. You would not be using this interface on a ribbon mic.
I had my K688 for a few months now and haven’t considered going XLR until I saw this video. Bought it and waiting to be delivered today. Honestly excited to play around with it! Keep up the good work, man! 🔥🙌
It was advertised as a mixer online so i got it and just made a mess. I connected it to my Scarlett solo so i am probably using 2 interfaces now. I should have done more research on my end but it works
Subscribed for the enthusiastic and fun review. I bought a Teyun A4 already, and it's major fun. Found a Q12 and was slightly set aback by the lack of EQ. This review got me wanting it 😊
@@DaveSolturaI haven´t tried Q12 yet, but A4 was a nice unexpected surpise in my last travel. Same Q12 features, plus a warm EQ, built-in Delay effect assignable to each of the mono inputs...and the ability for direct-to-USB drive mono RECORDING, abeit glitchy every 10 seconds. I Love it, and all those features packed in a Q12-sized device might make a future winner (TEYUN are you watching?)
I have a Teyun Q-12 and used instruments(Electric Bass) for it and its too quiet even with the highest gain and clips too much, when recording its not the sound you expect because i can't get the tone i want which has many effects. If you go overboard just a tiny bit white noise is apparent, its okay for guitars not for bass because of its low fequencies. For microphones and etc it does it job but definitely not for high quality audio which i believed in, its a great mini mixer to add your xlr mics in your desktop you can always adjust your gain in windows or Voicemeeter, Just don't buy it if you want a clear sound quality for recording and just save up and get a better one like focusrite or behringer Not gonna lie, its a trap for home recording BUT i suggest buying it first to know the basics of handling and working out an audio interface because its a whole mountain to climb tbh Edit: TIps for Buying Audio Interfaces - Even with a high quality brand there are certain models that are just bad - I suggest buying a consistent model or 2nd or 3rd model down - 2nd hand, please i suggest testing it yourself from recording , monitoring and latency, scratches dont matter its not a guitar anyways. Always ask the condition and problems for the audio interface.
Thanks, Allan! Glad it works for you! I do have two with their own AC power supply. Works most of the time, but they do fail at times when they’re overloaded! Had to redo some recording sessions just because they failed on me. In general, it’s good form to have fewer cables so as not to extend the signal chain. Every extra device is like adding a layer of slightly tinted glass, resulting in a blurrier image. Anyhow, that’s just a personal preference. If the hub works, it works!😁
I just got mine recently, and here are some of the pros and cons. If you want to use it as a usb connector for your recording, it does it's job really well, but since the design is simplistic and minimalistic and its only features are gain and volume control I would suggest that you should pair it with a multi channel audio mixer or a soundcard that has vocal effects on it like reverb.

Hello! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment on this channel. I had a look at your videos and compared them. You can dramatically improve the K688's signal-to-noise ratio/noise performance, by getting very close to the mic itself. An article on Sweetwater states, "each time you double the distance between your sound source and a listener or microphone, the power of the audio drops by 75% - a fairly significant amount! " (See www.sweetwater.com/insync/inverse-square-law/) So once your mouth is much closer to the mic, this boosts the overall volume by a lot... which means when you normalize your audio, the static would be significantly weaker, and can easily be wiped clean using simple noise reduction. The solution isn't perfect, but it's still an incredible value for the price. Feel free to check out my other video on mic technique, so your audio volume can sound loud, and your background noise will be much quieter: ua-cam.com/video/qA2hG2k3f2M/v-deo.html

Hi Rob! I've been able to connect audio interfaces and USB microphones to android phones since using microusb in 2017. But for any lightning connection, I haven't gotten any of those to work with my iPhones. Maybe it's possible, but it didn't work in my experience.
I would like to see a dynamic microphone test connected via P10. I tested a condenser via XLR and it worked perfectly... A dynamic XLR also worked relatively well, but using the P10 connection, on the cable that came with my microphone, the sound was extremely low. Using this same dynamic microphone with the P10 cable on an Arcano Mini-M, it worked perfectly, so I know it's not the cable or the microphone. I wanted to understand if the interface is bad or if mine is defective.

Got this and I'm hearing that interference as well it's driving me nuts, I can only seem to fix it with noise reduction but then it muffles Mt audio too much. Guess it's time to return this
If like you said there is a bit of a distorted sound with this option would you recommend the option you are comparing it to more if price isn’t really an issue? Or are there any other contenders? I am looking for a decently priced (not 500$ goxlr) unit to upgrade to xlr for my streams I will be starting soon. I use the same exact dynamic mic you are using in this video. The reason I am switching is because I have to adjust too much in post for gain due to the gain through usb being so low.
Hi! If you really want quality, and money is not a concern, go for the Motu M2. You won't need a cloudlifter or additional sources of gain to power the mic with it. It won't have the audible interference, and it'll be futureproofed. For many people, that can very well be their last audio interface, until it needs to be replaced. Mine has served me well for more than 2 years now.
@@DaveSoltura thank you for the recommendation! Adding it to the list to take a look at. Anything in the in between 100$ range where the m2 is the highest and the teyun q12 is the lowest? Based on quality.
@@TalonRahl The Behringer UMC202HD and 204HD should fit the bill. :) They’d be about half the cost of the Motu. Here’s my review and comparison: ua-cam.com/video/Wn8JjFwLE7s/v-deo.html
Hi! I bought a dynamic karaoke mic that has a 3.5mm jack and was wondering if I could plug it into the "mic condenser" port and connect the interface to my Macbook to record vocals? Also, regarding the USB 3.0 that you mentioned, my Macbook only has USB-c ports. Which type of converter would you recommend me to get? Thank you!
Thanks! I didn't pay attention to the video title. It does state the current price. Still the to-go budget interface. I have the Behringer UMC22, but need another interface on other equipment. Nice review!
Hey Dave! Your videos helped me decide on the A8, but now I'm looking for an upgrade, as the A8V picks up my mousepad noise when I talk while playing games (I have a glass mousepad 😅). Do you think the K688 + a Teyun Q12 would be enough to have clean audio while playing games?
Glad to be of help! The K688 + a separate USB 3.0 cable would be enough for “noise canceling” since it’s a dynamic mic, and the A8 is cardioid. Please read my pinned comment regarding the USB cable.
Can I ask a question? I am using Teyun Q12+K688+XLR to XLR cable too. But the volume of the microphone input is very, very low. The volume setting on the Windows Control Panel is already set to 100. But in Audacity the recording is only about -30dp~-20dp. And when I chatting with my friends on discord , they have a hard time hearing me because the microphone is so low. (My mouse is about 5cm close to k688.) How to solve this problem? Best regard.
I´m planning on switch my Quadcast S into this mic and a Q22, because my Moba is having some white noise that is very annoying and i needed an external audio device to block it, what is not possible with a USB microphone
Hey dude. I’m really struggling with this combo. The mic itself doesn’t sound horrible with XLR. But when I talk you can hear some sort of interference or it almost sounds as if a fan is blowing when I speak. Do I need to turn my gains all the way down and boost in OBS. I cannot for the life of me get audio sounding nearly as good as yours for live-streaming purposes.
Hi there! The interface really does have a bit of interference as I mentioned, but you can minimize this by maximizing your signal-to-noise ratio. I had a look at your channel and saw some of your videos. Your mouth is usually about a span away from the mic, which is quite far. When your mouth gets to about 3 inches away from the mic, that's when it would sound loudest, so when you boost it in OBS, the interference isn't boosted nearly as much. Check my other video on mic placement: ua-cam.com/video/qA2hG2k3f2M/v-deo.html
Hi, was wondering if you think, if the price didn't matter, would you get the teyun over the behringer? Im in the market to get my first audio interface to pair with a samson q2u was just wondering if you thought the extra price on the behringer would be worth it?
Hi! I can't say I recommend the Behringer anymore as I had driver concerns the last time I tried to boot mine up. Not sure they're updating software to match OS updates. Right now, the Fifine SC1 is a significant jump from the Teyun, at around $54.99. But you can also find the Focusrite Vocaster One, or Presonus Revelator io24 interfaces at $99 (they both used to be $200). Those 2 interfaces are also a great step up from the Fifine SC1. I suggest going for either the SC1 or one of the above interfaces.
Question, when you're recording with OBS with it, does the computer audio gets picked up by the mic? Because, my Audio Interface V8, when I try to hear my computer from it, it also gets outputted in my mic, how about this?
Hi, can this be used as a 3-channel mixer? What I mean is, is it okay to connect say a condenser microphone to that 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) input and a keyboard to the Input 1 (1/4 inch) with a guitar to the Input 2 (1/4 inch) all at the same time? If that is so, does the volume gain for Input 1 control the volume level for both the condenser mic in the 1/8 inch input and the keyboard in the 1/4 inch input at the same time? Any feedback here will be really helpful. Thank you very much.
@@DaveSoltura Thx for the answer. Btw wondering if adding the M Track Solo would make an impact on the K688. Cause I heard the K688's internals are pretty good
@@alfredg.m It's possible, but I can't say for sure. Any difference could be negligible. A true upgrade from.the K688's preamps would warrant something like a Motu M2 or SSL2 as an interface.
yo i just bought this audio interface w/ my fifine k688 but when I use the xlr interface, the audio seems to be lower than when I use usb mode. i've set gain and the other red knob on max and i also ensured that its maxed out in the windows settings
I just don't get the point of the extra expense and complication of having an XSLR box, when you can go just right into your computer with a USB cable. I don't think any reviewer is really getting across any of the benefits of using XLSR. I'm not seeing any really... that would be substantial enough to justify it.
Thanks for your thoughts! I felt the same way years ago and was very intimidated by the idea. Basically, USB mics are tiny “XLR boxes,” so it’s kind of like having a phone camera, versus a “professional camera.” Audio interfaces (your XLR boxes) have much beefier preamps (think camera sensors, or bigger car engines) inside of them. Ultimately, you get far superior sound quality for professional use, depending on which interface you pick. But as you said, new USB mics do have the advantage of convenience, and many of them are getting so close to the level of having a dedicated audio interface. To temper that, I’ve yet to see any USB mic match the Neumann U87 head-to-head. :)
@@DaveSoltura The problem is, if I bought an XLR box, it would be the cheapest one available, for $30? SO I'm thinking,t hat's not really an upgrade to a Get you by chip on the inside of the mic. And I already have a rat's nest of cables as it is and no space left on my desk for a little box with extra controls. And I don't need a second or multiple audio source inputs, which I think is mostly what an XLR is... a mixer? My comptuer does all that in Windows. XLR seems like a hold over from the past when DJ's and others strung together an audio setup using dedicated little boxes with lots of slider bars in a sound studio or radio DJ room... If I could see better I'd use a teleprompter, but I'll probably try to just cut and splice sentences together and slice out bad parts in Audacity.
@@choppergirl If you value convenience and space for your particular situation, then this particular interface probably isn’t for you. Hope your setup is serving you well!
@@DaveSoltura it gets the job done and is a big upgrade from headset mics. I'm trying to decide if ut really would be a significant improment to go from a K669 condenser mic to a K688 dynamuc mic. I think tge main benefit is tge dynamic mic drops background sounds much better... but so far background noise hasnt been a problem for me since its all dropped anyway as soft white noise (conputer fans, refrigerator running). My rsal problem is I have nothing to say. I can write a book in youtube comments but an at a tital loss for words front of a muic. :-/
It all depends on what the final use case is. If it’s just UA-cam and calls, the K669b is a great value. If it’s recording for clients, the K688 has a better shot. Based on what described, the K699b might be better for you. :)
Shouldn’t that main knob be like a master volume and only set at 3 o clock max, anyhigher would definitely start popping sounds…i would set main to 3 oclock and leave it there…and adjust only the levels of the mic line and other inputs.
@@DaveSoltura is it possible to connect straight to ipad pro that has usb-c…could the mic/pc switch allow you to play youtube karaoke videos and record while you sing?
It as a 48v feature so yes it can power the AT2020. Both mics are great. AT2020 is proven to last you a decade of good use if well-maintained. K688 sounds great but I’m not sure about longevity. You get less reverb with the K688 and more bass with proper mic technique. Personally I’d choose the K688 if I started over :)

@@inang1968 Hi! I have not tried them together. But it’s best to plug the At2020 into the XLR input, as that’s what it’s designed for. Make sure you’re getting the XLR version of the At2020!

Hi! Have you tried switching to a USB 3.0 cable? The provided cable is apparently lower than that, which is responsible for most of the pops and clicks. A new USB 3.0 cable should help minimize that.
@@MaxKosaka002 Hi! If you're using this mic + interface combo, your USB port is really the way to go. Or you could try using the USB 3.0 cable for the K688 without the interface. That's not underpowered in my experience.
Can I record an unbalanced stereo keyboard audio output from my Korg pa 300 on this device? Also is it better than using an m audio track duo/solo audio interface for the same purpose?
Haven’t tried it myself, but you should be able to with the combo jacks. The m-tracks are known to have a bit if “jumpy gain” i.e at a certain point, a few degrees of turning the gain would boost the gain by a disproportionally big amount. The Teyun has a tiny bit of static. It’s now a matter of which drawback you’re willing to live with. 🙂
For acoustic guitar, it won't capture the higher end of frequencies and it can sound dull. It could be passable to do you, but I'd personally use a condenser mic instead.
I would not recommend doing that, as you would be using your computer’s soundcard and preamps. BUT! If you spend a little extra on a USB 3.0 cable instead, the quality you can get on the K688 in USB mode is incredible for the price.

Awesome and extremely informative video, thank you so much for making it! I ended up getting the exact same setup but am having an issue - my mic isn't receiving any/enough (?) The mic works perfectly using the USB connection, do you have any idea what the issue could be? I tried different USB ports on my PC but I had the same result. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for the awesome and informative videos!
Thank you for the kind words, and it sucks that it isn’t working… have you tried raising the gain knob, and is phantom power off? I would also try listening to the mic via the monitors, so you can determine if the issue is between the mic and the interface, or between the interface and the pc. If you can hear it via the monitors, then it likely has to do with the connection to the pc.
@@DaveSoltura yep, I've tried both of those things - playing with all of the knobs, listening for sound, ensuring phantom power is off etc. I noticed the mute button light isn't coming on at all when connecting to the interface via xlr so maybe it's just not getting power at all. My next step I guess would be to get a different xlr cable, because my PC recognizes the interface when it's plugged in so it seems like the disconnect could be there like you said. Or possibly do you think that the USB cable itself connecting the interface to the PC is having problems? Either way those are fairly cheap solutions I'm going to try today!
@@parachute Both of those are possible! Admittedly, the worst case scenario is that the interface itself is defective, but fingers crossed that’s not the case. Also, in my experience, the lights for the mute button don’t turn on for xlr mode. It’s as if the mic surrenders all controls to the interface in xlr mode.
It would work on the 80 ohm with more volume. :) On the 250 ohm, it's still fairly audible-- I wouldn't call it faint, I wouldn't call it loud, either. Personally, I'd say it's usable for monitoring, but it would be a stretch for mixing.
Hey bro, I'm a newbee on this I have a question. Does this work with Maono Pm320s mic and does it need phantom power turned on? can this also power my audio technica ath m40x and m50x?

Can the Teyun Q12 record separate tracks? #audio #fifinek688 #microphone
Here's an article for full explanation: www.musicrepo.com/audio-interface-vs-mixer/
If mixer is still your thing, there are multichannel USB mixers out there than can do both worlds, hands-on hardware control and multichannel separate track recording via USB, just look at the manual or product description if it has this feature.

Did you buy it am thinking too
It’s a mini mixer though? 👍🏻
Im getting one, thank you bro, best review ❤
I have a Teyun Q-12 and used instruments(Electric Bass) for it and its too quiet even with the highest gain and clips too much, when recording its not the sound you expect because i can't get the tone i want which has many effects. If you go overboard just a tiny bit white noise is apparent, its okay for guitars not for bass because of its low fequencies. For microphones and etc it does it job but definitely not for high quality audio which i believed in, its a great mini mixer to add your xlr mics in your desktop you can always adjust your gain in windows or Voicemeeter, Just don't buy it if you want a clear sound quality for recording and just save up and get a better one like focusrite or behringer
Not gonna lie, its a trap for home recording BUT i suggest buying it first to know the basics of handling and working out an audio interface because its a whole mountain to climb tbh
Edit: TIps for Buying Audio Interfaces
- Even with a high quality brand there are certain models that are just bad
- I suggest buying a consistent model or 2nd or 3rd model down
- 2nd hand, please i suggest testing it yourself from recording , monitoring and latency, scratches dont matter its not a guitar anyways. Always ask the condition and problems for the audio interface.
Great review, Dave! Btw, you can use a USB hub but it should be the one that has it's own AC power supply. That's what I'm using.
Can you tell me which one hub? Planning to do the same
I just got mine recently, and here are some of the pros and cons. If you want to use it as a usb connector for your recording, it does it's job really well, but since the design is simplistic and minimalistic and its only features are gain and volume control I would suggest that you should pair it with a multi channel audio mixer or a soundcard that has vocal effects on it like reverb.
does it have its own driver? or standard ASIO4ALL?

The combo totally sucks. Super bad noise no matter what I do. You can check my latest videos compared with the older ones with the Audio technica mic.
Hello! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment on this channel.
I had a look at your videos and compared them.
You can dramatically improve the K688's signal-to-noise ratio/noise performance, by getting very close to the mic itself.
An article on Sweetwater states,
"each time you double the distance between your sound source and a listener or microphone, the power of the audio drops by 75% - a fairly significant amount! " (See www.sweetwater.com/insync/inverse-square-law/)
So once your mouth is much closer to the mic, this boosts the overall volume by a lot... which means when you normalize your audio, the static would be significantly weaker, and can easily be wiped clean using simple noise reduction.
The solution isn't perfect, but it's still an incredible value for the price.
Feel free to check out my other video on mic technique, so your audio volume can sound loud, and your background noise will be much quieter:

Interesting idea! Something to consider!

Wouldn’t be my first pick! Try looking into the sE Electronics v2 for a similarly priced option.
@@DaveSoltura wow thanks for the reply. I'll check it out.

@@oalkie Yes, they’re about the same quality 🙂
how about the sound latency for monitoring?
why is there low quality electric cable sound on the background?
I did mention that! It's definitely a drawback for an interface at this price, but good mic placement can help attenuate it.
Question, when you're recording with OBS with it, does the computer audio gets picked up by the mic? Because, my Audio Interface V8, when I try to hear my computer from it, it also gets outputted in my mic, how about this?

For electric guitar?does it do a really good job
Can’t say I’m the best judge for that, as I don’t have one!
Thank you very much.
i want to just confirm: if using two mics and each mic is connected to teh Q-12 via XLR, I should NOT turn on 48V Phantom Power?

Thank you for calling attention to this.

@@JaceYTC I don’t have it yet. It looks promising, but I’ll have to hear it myself before I jump to any conclusions :)
Awesome and extremely informative video, thank you so much for making it! I ended up getting the exact same setup but am having an issue - my mic isn't receiving any/enough (?) Power from the audio interface.
The interface is recognized by my PC, but when I plug the fifine mic in to the interface via xlr cable I get nothing - the mute button light is also completely dark. The mic works perfectly using the USB connection, do you have any idea what the issue could be?
Pls review Teyun Q 26
What will happened if turn on phantom power to dynamic xlr mic? Is it good or bad?
Won’t necessarily break it, but there could be some odd frequencies/sounds that are not supposed to be there.
Here in the Philippines, it's like $11.99 USD😃
It sure is!
can i listen to my silf with no delay with this interface?
Yes you can!
Teyun Q12 work DT-700 250 or 80 ohm?
It would work on the 80 ohm with more volume. :) On the 250 ohm, it's still fairly audible-- I wouldn't call it faint, I wouldn't call it loud, either. Personally, I'd say it's usable for monitoring, but it would be a stretch for mixing.
@@DaveSoltura thank you
Hey bro, I'm a newbee on this I have a question. Does this work with Maono Pm320s mic and does it need phantom power turned on? can this also power my audio technica ath m40x and m50x?
Would this work for music production?
It can work as a basic combo if you have music production skills.
Hi Dave, do you think the Behringer SL 84C microphone will work fine with this interface?
should work fine!
@@DaveSoltura Thank you!
Does this work with Mac's as well?
Yes!
we can hear the pops from now and then, and the preamps seems very none existing.
im not shure about the pops , it might be youtube.
Yes there are definitely pops in USB mode if we use the cable that comes with it. Needs a USB 3.0 cable for pops to disappear. :)
Yup can hear the pops as well using the xlr connection.
what does the "ST PAN" switch do?
I recorded a short about that! ua-cam.com/users/shortsW5ZH69P6_js
Wooow! Mind blowing!
I know, right!? Are you getting one? :)
I have q-24 and have no static at all
Thanks for sharing. Good to know!
@@DaveSolturaany chance of you reviewing the q-24?
