    Just Wow ! 3 times ! I'm a flight instructor and I was experiencing difficulties explaining fronts. This is the simplest, coolest and yet most effective way to teach fronts I've seen so far. Very good work, I'm impressed. Hugo

      Same. I feel like textbooks and other videos don’t explain the relationship between fronts and pressure systems.

    8:10 - Best impression of a Thunderstorm. Thanks for the video; preparing for a stage II check and it was very useful.

    Thank you so much! Your approach was so intuitive, it helped me understand (finally) how fronts work.

    Love your thunderstorm sound effects! :-D keep these videos coming. They are proving to be rather instrumental in my pilot training. And you're very easy to understand and I love the way you explain things. I will share your vids with other student pilots who also have alot of trouble trying to stay awake during boring weather theory lectures.

    Yes!
    In the Southern Hemisphere the circulation in a low pressure system (cyclone) is clockwise.

    • @stephensnell1379
      @stephensnell1379 3 роки тому +1

      And high pressure systems have a clockwise rotation in the northern hemisphere and counter-clockwise in the southern hemisphere

    • @stephensnell1379
      @stephensnell1379 2 роки тому

      However this video only focuses on the northern hemisphere not the southern

    Love the way the warm air is blue (cold) and the cold air is red (hot)?! 0:46

      +Joseph Glenn Wow I'm glad you're not afraif to express your own opinions. I'm actually chopping all my hair off soon, so I guess it won't be as ugly now.
      Also, come back when your grammar improves. It's you're, not your.

      +Joseph Glenn Oh so you noticed. You can nit-pick too! That was a test to see if you'd retaliate.

    So a cold front means that there is not only cold air moving but its also creating clouds together with the warmer air, right?
    If so, why isnt every cold / warm front front automatically a conclusion? Because they always get in touch with cooler / warmer air as you first showed, dont they?

    • @brianbarnard690

      +HoogeyBoogey3
      I don't know what you mean by a "conclusion". Did you mean an occlution; as in an occluded front? If so the difference is weather the cold air is moving into the warm air (cold front) or the warm air is moving into the cold air (warm front).

    Do you have a website or somewhere to download the notes that you give to your students? I'd really like it if you posted a link to download these handouts that you supply your students so I can print them out and follow along with these videos. Thanks for posting these! You explain things a bit more clear than my current Earth science teacher so this really helps.

    does cold wet air rise above warm dry air?

    • @brianbarnard690
      @brianbarnard690 3 роки тому +1

      Although humidity has an effect on density, temperature determines air movement. Warm air always rises above cold air regardless of humidity.

    What a ridiculous presenter, you went on about cold fronts, we all got it in the first 30 seconds but you just went on about it and then you decided to throw in storm noises. Please stop, get a ghost presenter for goodness sake.
