I used to make Windsor Chairs for a living. I used this method to make the paint look old. It also works to paint on "hide glue" as the crinkle medium.

I told you I was going to try this on your other video. I tried it and got nothing , what is the name of your CRACKLE product that you use and where do you over it from. I would greatly appreciate the information.
@@BejanHandmadeLures I have first primed with black then the crack on it waited 5 min then white and green then with hot air and it is only minimally cracked so not like yours

Thank you for your videos, I've learned a lot!! I tried this technique, but my cracks were fine lines, not bigger cracks like yours. Can you help?
It's the timing. You sould've been paint after crakle medium, probably 1 min earlyer. Make tests and you'll get thenperfect timing.

It't the timeing. Try to use the hot air 1 min earlier and so on,until you get what you like. Don't worry I've had my fails,also :)
You can try using a thicker layer of medium if you reckon you need more time to apply the other paint coats.
