I’ve moved about 90% to the Scribe from my reMarkable. The lack of a backlight is a real dealbreaker for me. As you say, Scribe is catching up all the time.
That is so neat 👏. The audio where you show how to bring the pdf is very low, i didn't know if you meant it to be that way, so i thought I'd let you know. Thank you for sharing 👍. Stay safe, healthy, and happy ✝️ 🇺🇸
I have the reMarkable2 and the Scribe and since the latest update, the Scribe is really close. I love the backlight and the hardware is more modern, it's a bit snappier, especially in larger PDFs, and they now added the ability to have a custom template on a per page basis in notebooks and for me now the only thing missing is being able to access my PDF annotations from other devices to be an RM2 killer, at less than half the price on the frequent sales.
Thank you sir, this was very helpful and informative and I just subscribed to your channel. I share your excitement over the Kindle Scribe and find it to be very useful in so many ways. May I ask you please, if there is any way of copying something from an e-book or PDF and pasting it into the Notebook section? My attempts to do this have proven futile and perhaps this feature is as of yet unavailable, but if there is a way, even a link to a video you may have done on this would be very helpful. Thank you again. Enjoy your Kindle Scribe and God bless you!
He really went the roundabout way to do it. All you need to do is Lasso text > tap the Copy icon that appears > tap the pen where you want the text to go and reposition as necessary. My issue with the process is that the lasso tool currently cannot be mapped to the pen button. It seems like a really obvious oversight that should be patched.
I'm considering going with the Kindle and using a lot of work I have about 5 notebooks and manuals upon manuals of price lists for products at work. Is there a find button when in a pdf document so I can search a 300 page pdf for a part number? I know i can mark up pdfs and jump to a specific page, but if i can get confirmation for a "find" button I think im sold.
I think so, so long as you use the send to Kindle app function, otherwise it loads just the pfg image... I review lots of technical documents for work so I'm hoping I can send them to the kindle and make comments that I can export elsewhere...
Thank you for the video. I was wondering if you could compare the Kindle Scribe and Onyx Boox Tab X in your next video. I'm considering buying one of these and can't decide which one to choose. I plan on using it primarily for note-taking purposes.
You know the Kindle is RIGHT there for sure - the ONYX does a lot more, which I did a quick video on just now :) So check that out when you get a chance. Just put it up.
JB, one question please: Is Kindle Scribe available for all countries, or is it technically a US-only device? Do you know of any technical limitations? Thanks in advance!
Thank you so much for asking - I don't know if it is - this is. what I found some answers (I would attempt to set up an Amazon account but it sure looks like you can use it. Again this is just people from the internet. Maybe Amazon will reply but here is what I found: Kindles are region agnostic. It doesn't matter where you bought it and in which country you using it on. Even in countries that do not have Amazon at all. honestlyicba I am outside of the US but use the Amazon US store because my country doesn’t have a Kindle ebook store. You just need to create an account on a Amazon account with a address that is in that country. Kindle app on rooted Fire 8 This may help. To use Amazon.in however, you need a credit card registered in India or some sort of India only e-payment method.
@@morningcoach Dear JB! Thanks for your answer and time you've invested, I appreciate that! It seems as if the Scribe would be working without limitations with my standard Amazon-account. Have a great Sunday!
Great to see a new video from you JB! The Kindle looks like it has had some great updates that has it quickly becoming a strong contender in the Eink world! The Bigme Inknote Color is always by my side as my daily reader, lately I've been binging some graphic novels with it. At the end of August it will switch to textbooks as I enter my final year of university (unless I choose to upgrade further down the road 😅!)
WOW it should just save as you use it. Never had that issue, some people have had some trouble getting the planner up but I have not heard that? Sorry you had that issue.
@@anthonyhernandez6230 That is really a personal preference for sure I am a huge iPad fan :) But the writing feel on the Kindle feels more like paper :)
HAHAH well I am a coach - that is what I do for a living so I project. Whats funny is my main business is growing faster in Australia and Europe then the US - so they must like the shouting HAHAHAHH
JB is back! I actually cheered out loud when I saw this notification.
That's awesome! I was excited to see it as well, it's always good to see a Morning Coach notification 🤩😁
Thank you - this made my day :)

They seriously needs to release a new update though

Amazing for annotating books, especially highly technical and textbooks
How is the Kindle Scribe treating you?
Very well 🎉
I absolutely love it. It goes everywhere with me.
Thank you for that nice planner!! 🙂
Thank you been at this for years :) It is really the community that made it great!
I habe the Scribe, Boox Note Air 2 Plus and Kobo Eipsa and the Scribe is by far my favorite for notes,
Thank you!
@@morningcoach you can email the notebooks to you rself and save too goodnotes or onenote as well
Very interesting and well done video, JB! Peace! Don
Thank you Don - I will get one up on the Tab X soon - thanks for watching.
As always, fantastic insights with real-world practicality! Production quality has never been better!!!

I don't think so, but we can try and send to Amazon as a feature request for sure. Thanks for asking
The copy/paste feels a bit clunky but I guess it’s a huge time saver if you’re comparing this to writing on paper.

So glad you are back! How’s the Apple Watch Ultra been working out? Recommend?
You know, I don’t use the functionality as much as I should so it’s hard for me to really recommend but I wear it every day and love it

This the note takes up alot of memory? Would you recommend 16gb or 32 gb for moderate user?
How do you save the pdf in the scribe? I lost all the updates I made on a pdf.
WOW it should just save as you use it. Never had that issue, some people have had some trouble getting the planner up but I have not heard that? Sorry you had that issue.
Thanks for the great videos. did you find the pen holder on the cover?
Why not do this on a iPad or android tablet? Just curious. Thank you
That video is being done today - actually iPad - then Android - thanks ANY device can be used :)

Until they can get the scribe to supernote level of note taking i will continue to stay away
