Japan, Part One -- Aomori City

Japan is my favorite place on the planet and I recently got to spend a week there as a guest of the Japan National Tourism Organization, and here's what happened. This is our first stop, Aomori City. I managed to dip my toes into a "thousand person bath", eat apples in multiple ways, and even threw in a 5.9 earthquake for good measure. Was in Aomori August 2018. Had a great time. It rained heavily the night that the floats were out. They were placed under larger plastic sheets but the festival went on.

Aomori, Akita, San'jin, Seto Inland Sea, Miyazaki, Nagasaki, Saga coastlines are my top choice.

Awwwwww. i was born in Aomori and i live in Texas now. I really want to go back and visit my grandparents and experience some of the things again. The last time i was there was 2009.

Yes it does! I’ve lived in Japan twice and get back as often as possible. So much to see (and eat!). Aomori was amazing and I definitely need to get back to see more.
