It's crazy how much the game has changed since the old Aria's came out. Two years ago, these would've been market breaking
They kinda still are. Like the whole package for that price is quite nice, they sound similar to $200 IEM at half the price and they have swappable filters and those bass plugs to change the tuning so it's more then you get with cheaper budget tier IEMs.
I'd say people just care less now about IEM's if they sound similar to what they have. The market is flooded with clones so when a actual good set comes out it's under valued because of the tuning. Meanwhile someone new to the hobby would see this as a great recommendation to them.

Seriously I just checked my budget upped it coz I need a 4.4mm jack to get most out of M0pro and it already needs a dongle so I dont want to get a dongle or another cable with 4.4mm so ,
This is deal sweet as it has smoother presence and good cable with a case very imp. This checked my boxes but I dont know why ppl are not saying good stuff about it.

Is the kato worth buying now ? I’ve had my eye on it for a year now and save up enough for the kato , its only 130$ now in my country. Should i get it or the aria 2 anyway ?
To me the hexa broke this market. You get that, eq to taste, leave the treble as is and that's it. Next step up is a couple times the price.

I have the OG Aria and OG Olina, i love both, mainly the wide stage on Aria and micro details on Olina.
Looking to graph, i saw Aria 2 and Olina OG are very similar, so, i have a question: how big is the wide stage of Aria 2 compare to OG Aria? And how good on micro details is the A2 compares to Olina?

Just bought the aria 1 as my first modern iem.
Needs a bit more bass and some extra sparkle. Chopin? AFUL 5?
I cant really think of anything under a hundred i like more than these. I the project red/zero was unusable due to the nozzle size in my medium ears, the hexa is a little more boring and less cohesive.
And updating the whole thing from the packaging to the included accessories and the easy to drive design makes them still that super no-brainer first pair of headphones for people. Musical, balanced sound with no real shortcomings and a tuning everyone should like, a nice cable, nice case, 4 pairs of eartips, and fixable if the filters ever clog for longevity... this was kind of exactly what they needed to do as the original was getting kind of outcompeted. I personally feel it also greatly improves on the other intangibles like soundstage, imaging, accuracy in placement (big sur moon by buckethead has a part where the guitar goes over your head that most iems cant repilcate, these can)
I didnt really need the aria 2, i was going to give them away if i didnt like them. But i do. Holy crap i do. They're so easy to drive. Nothing sounds bad. New backpack iems, hands down.

The only thing I'm afraid is the nozzle it's look the same as chu 2. So It might be prone to tarnished depends on humidity
Yes, it's brass but as with any brass you can polish it and restore it. Little more work then we'd like but at least it wont break on you.

Moondrop have been upping their cable game lately. I have the Beautiful World and they came with the Kato style cable but it's updated to have screw on connections. Came with all all three types of connections and a super clean way of doing it. One of the best cables I own now. Love the budget models are getting the same treatment.
I have the Variations and love that IEM so forking much but I like to use the Aria when I don't mind it getting beat up a bit but still want it to sound amazing. GG good sir on the recommendations!

Yes. That’s true. Well at least from the Kato perspective. I have Stellaris, Starfield and Kato. The Kato stands head and shoulders above the Starfellis (lol). With iem innovation and tech moving at its current full-tilt pace, I absolutely believe that the Aria 2 is within a hairs breath of the Kato. I love my Katos and knowing that there’s really no reason to buy the Aria 2 helps my wallet to the tune of $90. That said, I did pay the full $190 for the Katos, which are now obsolete… that’s how it goes.
I mean, the original starfield is still pretty good, the starfield 2 is definitely one way to kill the starfield name considering the design looks so sleek.
Would you get the Aria 2 or Letsshouer S12? Same price for me

Aria is still a great IEM under $100, but it's hard to beat IEMs like the EA500, PR2, Hexa, and others in terms of detail/texture these days for the price. Moondrop sadly haven't stood out in years besides maybe the Blessing 3 but a lot of people (me included) don't like the tuning that much.
What other IEM from different brand that has same exact tuning like Aria? I have OG Aria and it's best tonality IEM. Hexa didn't feel fun despite better technical
After a little over a month's use, Aria 2 unfortunately for me has the exact same issue with paint chipping that my snow edition had. Accessories are excellent, and they sound great. The paint is really disappointing, though.
Do you regularly clean it?
@@augustuslunasol10thapostle No these hadn't been cleaned, but they didn't need to be. I only had these for about 3 weeks before the paint started to bubble and chip badly, just like my snow edition Aria a while back.
It could possibly be that I live in a high humidity climate, but I've been using EW200 for several months with no issue like that. Even if it is the high humidity, moondrop should consider the fact that a lot of people live in places like that, and this finish just isn't good enough to last.

Comparing the graphs, the Aria 2 is essentially the Starfield 2 with a stronger control on the treble
More like better control of both bass and upper mids than treble since both of the treble profiles are uneven on both sets. But its definitely more related to Starfield 1 and Kato than anything.

I have bought hexa 2 month ago because aria was out of stock 😢😢. I agree that hexa is kinda boring, but I still can enjoy while i put springtips on it... should I go buy aria 2 or stay with hexa? Maybe anyone can give some tips for me if I stay with hexa
I have aria and hexa and for my own taste i would stick to hexa. Aria 2 might be a bit diff but hexa is still so good and it's almost like blessing 2 tuning

@@geraldtorres7151 for me it's definitely an upgrade. Hexa is more 'boring' based on Timmy since it has the graph that most people enjoy and for me the details are better and it's isn't peaky as aria

I like that Moondrop constantly 1 up themselves with IEM's but it also means I have no reason to buy this when I have a more expensive IEM from them. Like I own the Starfield, Chu 2, Sparks, Space Travel and also the Beautiful World limited edition IEM. So I have no justification to buying the Aria 2.

How the heck did Moondrop crater so badly. You can’t copy yourself to greatness. This is just a cynical money grab.
I mean... have you seen what they were doing before? KXXS, Starfield 1, Aria, Kato are all basically the same aside from the Kato being a slight improvement in terms of technicalities. From tuning to shell design. They did change the tuning on the Chu 2, Starfield 2 and Blessing 3 already, and since the Aria is a much more popular set, play it safe for that one and only retune the other ones. Its an update and they fixed a lot of the QC issues (I hope) and a lot of the small details are better. Nothing is wrong with updating a popular product, its upon you if you wanna upgrade or not.
@@kaeroseon I’ve been with Moondrop since the Kanas Pros, the actual progenitor of the KXXS-Aria-Kato line. They all share the same essential DNA. It’s a matter of perspective I suppose. Cars get updated all the time. Most of the updates are waypoints to something greater, typically in 7 year cycles. But has Moondrop really done anything in the iem space since the Variations? Perhaps their focus is on headphones these days? I have the KP’s and the KXXS. I haven’t felt the need to buy more of the same from Moondrop, because why? I definitely won’t be starting again with the Aria 2’s, because why? Simgot seems to have more game these days. Ordered the EA1000’s. Now there’s something you don’t see/hear every day.
@@mensrea1251 Agreed, I've been really looking forward to truthear, tangzu, and simgot. But I do think what Moondrop is doing is pretty reasonable considering so much of their time investment has been in the wireless and headphone space lately. They havent been innovating as much but what theyre still giving is top tier accessories for the price. And the blessing 3, chu 2 and Lan are all relatively different from what they are supposed to be replacing. Same with starfield 2 for better or for worse. They havent landed on anything amazing yet, but the experimentation is still there. I think if they are willing to remove some of the accessories or downgrade them, they could squeeze in more innovation but I feel like for the aria, being one of the staples of budget IEMs its fine to have a such a small update. Other brands are way more exciting though in the IEM space.

I think people forget how similar iem with these sound signature harman curve are all over the market for almost 2 yrs. To me it boring, and price it getting lower to 20usd, except you looking for technical performance.
While My eye are still on truthear zero/red and hexa, the graph still look interesting and have more it own model sound signature to own in iem collection

You give horrible advice. You say all iems mentioned are similarly tuned. Then you say, "if you want more bass go for X, if you want more mids go for X". As if EQ doesn't exist? Why spend that much more money just to own a similarly tuned iem that with your previous one, could have easily been eq'd? You want people to waste their money and time.

and i wasnt saying we have to unconditionally buy one dumbass, go reread my comment. I said IF we had to choose out of this pool of IEM, as in like we are already looking to buy an IEM in the first place, and we decided we want this tuning style, then these are the options according to Timmy. that is the whole point of watching a product review/comparison video 🤦♂️
If one is looking to spend money to buy something they don't own already, then a recommendation for the cheapest option that fits what they want is obviously not forcing nor wasting anything.
