I haven't touched this in over 8 months. Came back to it yesterday, got to level 100. For the second time ever on my 3rd try. Dmc 5 really boosted my skill I guess

Oh I'm not new to it, been with this series since DMC1, I'm literally just terrible with the tech stuff outside of enemy step. This is why Dante style switch is literally alien to me even though I played since DMC4 first released haha

On one side, watching these kinds of players is really cool, on the other hand, even though I beat Dante Must Die mode they make me feel like a really shitty player.
"A really shitty player"? No, you see, everyone doesn't have the skills to beat this bloody palace, there are limits to this challenge. You did your best, that's all. If you can even complete it with all the characters, you won't be a "shitty player" anymore. Just put your skills to the test and focus on your timing, it is the best to make you look cool.
This may be an old vid, but still has very nice gameplay and gave me some things to consider while doing my own BP run with Nero. BTW, do you perhaps know how common or uncommon it is for people to try to get the Untouchable trophy with Nero and especially without any super costume? Did you additionally have any issues with Dante's AI during attempts? While I did manage to do it with a variation of loops I've seen of others (not going for Exceed to be more focused on consistency) as seen on my channel, Dante did in fact decide to mess up my attempts prior to that with his AI, even without going into Trickster or RG (even in the upload I had two occasions where he almost got me). Gotta say though, it is nice to get that trophy with one of the legit ways.

A question tho: how do you manage to keep the Blue Rose's button pressed at all times while still being able to use the other 3 on a controller ? I can do that on a keyboard but lately I'm trying to play with a gamepad and it's really unconfortable to pull that off.

I could never make it past the level with the 3/4 lightning creatures waiting for me. On another note my boy always thought NERO was garbage until i showed him how to use Exceed to it's full potential.
Well thanks for the comments but i do agree, my Nero is by any means not as good as my Dante. However, Gameplays/Combos arent the only thing you can be great at and where i am great at them as well, but if i would go further into it, 1st; Adam, you wouldn't probably understand, if i would mention these things.. 2nd; i know from other good stylish/combo players where my skill level is at and this is what really matters to me. But i can understand that you have your favorite players which you just preffer.

Harper some newbies getting s ranks is different from scoring 6.5 mio in bloody palace. that's world elite level. like you said it's subjective how you view things for me personally getting highscores is more impressive than do 20 different moves and get less points than with 5. and you can't compare speedruns with what i've said dmc4 has a scoring system unlike many other games. in dmc4 there are rankings and style points it's a core mechanic, funny enough a dmc4 speedrun would even more look like what lloyd91 do than donguri. i can understand your point of view but it's just quite annoying under every dmc video to see people talking about donguri ect. like he is a god. and the majority isn't deep enough into dmc to even know the difference between stylish and efficient and compare these two things with another.

Idk if this counts as a good idea but how fast do u think u can do a bp run with any of the super characters ?i know that dt doesnt regen your health, it makes it a bit more challenging, its just a suggestion for a video :D
The non-charged Version is better to build up your letters while the charged one is only good for killing. But even then, the charged Version is only good against larger enemies like Blitz. Or a massive group of enemies.
That multiple streaking is an EXCLUSIVE DMC4:SE thing which happens randomly if you get in touch with many objects/enemies, which also only works for if you have Exceed charged up to the max. If you took a closer look on that then ive been doing for sure multiple Streaks Lv3 on many enemies but i didnt always got the "longer version". However, i am playing on PS4 and there for there's nothing like a "Trainer". And whats wrong about pausing? This run was recorded when i was aiming for the fastest achiever on psnprofiles.com for this game and since many people and my friends been hyped about im going for this, i recived quite a lot of messages which i wanted to answer asap. I really only uploaded that playthrough because i kinda liked it and always wanted to share a full BP run. :)
Oh damn, I got the Special Edition on PS4 too, I'm just about to start a Legendary Dark Knight run so I'll bare the multiple streak thing in mind :D I don't see why you can't pause the game but you could at least cut the pause out in edit so we don't have to wait for it. Other than that this was a great video to watch, I love playing with Nero and I've picked up some new techniques watching this :3

i have beat BP with Nero, Dante, Lady and Vergil, actually Lady is the most powerful because of all her firearm... Nero is weaker than Dante but his charge shot level 3 is very useful to kill Mephisto or Blitz
i know this videos is 2 years old, but there are any tips you could give to control the camera/enemy lock-on?, because it happens too often that my characters loses the lock on the enemie in facing
I just dont get it My bp run with dante i killed 753 enemies but my score 6.2 millions My time extension 92 minutes. When i did with nero i do hit 6.5 million in score also killed 761 enemies with my time extension 99 minutes 50 second. The part i dont get is the enemies 708?? when i play bp dmc 4 my enemies count never below than 750 both dante and nero
Sorry for the late reply. The time extension doesn't matter as much, as you may think. It just counts up how many stages you've beaten with No Damage and how many enemies you've beaten up with a certain Style Rank. What matters more is... - that you have to finish Stage 101 No Damage, highest Style Rank possible for this fight (for additional scores) and clearing the BP with a timer of 99:59. - clearing as many Stages with No Damage as you can and as fast, as you can - beating up as many enemies with a SSS Rank as many, as possible. The first few floors will be the toughest for that. No matter how great you have performed, but if your end timer hasn't reached the maximum, you'll loose even more points. You can loose enemies in your total enemy count, when Angelo's do sacrifice themselves or when Chimera Seeds do fusion with Scarecrows/Assaults. I am pretty sure i was skipping a lot of enemies in this run, because it was the BP run of my old Trophy Speedrun for this game. Hope this helps.
Maybe dmc 4 and dmc 4 SE have different total bp enemies. By 50 number. Regardless that perfect on dante is godlike👍 Anyway every 6.5 millions DH on BP DMC 4 player have trick. Tips For me on nero vs bianco angelo. Im sick of jumping on bianco back when he shield himself. So i figure it out how to kill him on front. When bianco shield it self for defence, buster his shield AND immediatly excced slash(just melee attack with exceed meter) when bianco try to hit u with his shield. In short in front bianco round triangle repeat 2-3 times until its broken. Note exceed meter always on. Is efficient way to gains D.T meter on nero.
I never personally labbed SE enough for scoring, because it was literally "pointless" of doing so, since they have removed the leaderboards for this edition. I still think my previous explanation sounds the most plausible for the total enemies. If you meant my Dante fight on this run but nah sorry, it really wasn't good at all. I just was a bit nervous of failing this fight for the Untouchable Trophy because it was a Trophy Speedrun. Other reason as well is also due to some minor changes between SE and vanilla. Do you just want to break Bianco Shields as Nero? If so, Charge Shot when they block you and repeat is your best friend. I think you still can see some of my Score runs on my channel of doing this. You can also use Devil Buster, but you don't gain any Style Points from it, despite it's stronger. Yet Style Meter will increase though. On lower difficulty Bianco's you can basically also do 1 Slash approach and do a Shuffle too for example.

There's the other way. You should place your right hand in different position: thumb should be on square, clenched index finger should press triangle button by it's side, and middle finger should press R1 button by it's intermidiate phalange. That way you could do this with deffault controls
Fuck this bloody palace. Got killed by Credo multiple times with different characters. Bloody palace is the only thing i need for getting platinum on this game. Might aswell give up since i don’t want to waste hours and hours to get back on stage 80 again.

It's not challenging at all. In fact, with super character, it's super easy. I've finished it a lot of times easily with super nero.
My record with Nero in bloody palace is 4 million and 9 hundred thousand

Tips For me on nero vs bianco angelo.
Im sick of jumping on bianco back when he shield himself.
So i figure it out how to kill him on front.
When bianco shield it self for defence, buster his shield AND immediatly excced slash(just melee attack with exceed meter) when bianco try to hit u with his shield.
In short in front bianco round triangle repeat 2-3 times until its broken.
Note exceed meter always on.
Is efficient way to gains D.T meter on nero.
I never personally labbed SE enough for scoring, because it was literally "pointless" of doing so, since they have removed the leaderboards for this edition. I still think my previous explanation sounds the most plausible for the total enemies.
If you meant my Dante fight on this run but nah sorry, it really wasn't good at all. I just was a bit nervous of failing this fight for the Untouchable Trophy because it was a Trophy Speedrun. Other reason as well is also due to some minor changes between SE and vanilla.
Do you just want to break Bianco Shields as Nero? If so, Charge Shot when they block you and repeat is your best friend. I think you still can see some of my Score runs on my channel of doing this. You can also use Devil Buster, but you don't gain any Style Points from it, despite it's stronger. Yet Style Meter will increase though. On lower difficulty Bianco's you can basically also do 1 Slash approach and do a Shuffle too for example.

How can you keep chraging gun and hitting enemies at the same time?
I have changed the button config in the menu. In my case, Shoot is on R2 and this way i can do both.
There's the other way. You should place your right hand in different position: thumb should be on square, clenched index finger should press triangle button by it's side, and middle finger should press R1 button by it's intermidiate phalange. That way you could do this with deffault controls

Fuck this bloody palace. Got killed by Credo multiple times with different characters. Bloody palace is the only thing i need for getting platinum on this game. Might aswell give up since i don’t want to waste hours and hours to get back on stage 80 again.
