I truly feel bad for what police/emergency services see often. It seems that what the go through is over looked. I hope that will change.

My stepdad is a retired firefighter and he's told me a few stories from his shifts. I couldn't even imagine to what he's seen.
poor Police and EMT their jobs are so hard much respect for them risking their lives for us
wait...ok about to say do security officers/night guards count?
why not man they risk their lives but this story was about police officers and EMTs sense the title which is why i didn't mention them
EMTS don't risk there lives

I'm a EMT currently a semester away from becoming a Paramedic. As anyone who's profession involves placing yourself in very dire and dark situations knows, it's a very thankless and stressful job. I love it and I wouldn't want do anything else. Iv seen some very crude and crazy things. I've just had to learn to not self associate with what I deal with on a weekly basis.
Alabama Outdoors know you are appreciated
How's it been going?
Medic-Taylor I'm a VOULNTEER firefighter emt and I've seen some stuff
Hello I’m actually in an explorer program and I’m training to become a fireman/emt. I was wondering how to get over the gore
All ya gotta do is to separate yourself mentally from the situation, do what you can, and when it's over do everything you can to stop thinking about it, yeah your bodies shock will make you remember for awhile but ya gotta be able to stop dragging it up and stop all emotions twords it after awhile. If you keep thinking about it for too long then you could go crazy, or get PTSD

being a mother who's youngest child stopped breathing and heart stopped at 1 month old I always encourage any parent or carer to know cpr on all ages as you could just save a life if these moments occur. I saved my boys life that night by administering cpr on him as soon as possible and i got his heart beat and breathing back while we waited on paramedics to take him to hospital.there are even quick videos on UA-cam to watch if you don't want to take a class but either way it always helps to know even if you never have to use the skills. that last story touched my heart
Laura Tunstall I'm actually going to learn CPR very soon, thou I won't be certified but I'll still know how to do it.
I
My health class actually explained how to administer cpr on both an adult and toddler along with proceedurres for both situations and the heimlick maneuver along with how to do mouth to mouth properly and the safety or fetal position for if ther convulsing and vomiting or to help disloge water from there esophagus before doing mouth to mouth or cpr ^.^
Please for the love of anything go take a class, and do not do UA-cam tutorials. It’s extremely important, especially for the baby’s bones and organs, that a professional teaches you how to administer. CPR, if done incorrectly, can be lethal. Push too hard and you’ve broken ribs that are piercing various spots causing internal bleeding. Don’t push hard enough and now(depending on the state) as an unlicensed person have to deal with the legal repercussions of the death because you tried to save him. Know your states Samaritan law, and take a class.
How would you feel if the first one happend.......
Love you guys, thanks for the support over what's been happening lately and just in general. Best community ever

+Corpse Husband thanks man!
Just be prepared to see stuff you won't forget. My stepfather had to crawl around in burnt wood and body parts for 8 hours following an explosion in a building...it made him quit.
+Kyle Palacios yeah I'm sure I'll experience a lot of crazy things. My aunt ran for many years, actually at the same station I'm volunteering for, and she's told me some of the things she went through but she absolutely loved it. That's all I can think about is trying to help everyone as best I can

Corpse Husband is so respectful to not only the people in the video, but everyone else, too.
Hats off to you, you deserve all of this love
Police officers used to be called "blue canaries". In the days of the old coal mines, there was the ever present danger of an collapse. When this happens, no one could just charge in there looking for survivors or to survey for damages. Many mines also carried the dangers of toxic chemicals released when the mines collapse. After giving the area some time to settle, a canary would be sent into the mine. If the canary stayed and chirped, the mine would be considered relatively safe. If not, the mine would have to be stabilized before any other actions ... including rescues could happen. Cops, like their feathered counterparts, would be the first on scene to check out the area. As pissed off as one could be at the cops, you can't deny the pressures that come with the job. Thanks much for keeping us safe.
I can't stomach the sexual crimes committed
I respect law enforcement on an individual level
Props to the emt professionals
My mom was a nurse, my father was an orderly/drove ambulance, used to hear stories from him all the time. Apparently once in around the mid-70's he had gotten a call to come in to pick up a body from a residence, this was the middle of the summer and an older man in his 70's had been found in his attic. When my father arrived he went with the paramedics up to help them get the body down and so forth. Turns out the attic was one of those type you really don't walk in, there was no "floor" proper, just beams with insulation stuffed in and below that was the thin plaster of the kitchen ceiling below, buddy had set a plank of wood between two beams and placed a chair on it. I'm unsure why he bothered, maybe he didn't plan on being found, but it seems a needlessly complex spot to choose, I suppose he may have simply not had any suitable beams anywhere else in the house. In either case as my dad and the other paramedic were upstairs, the second paramedic was talking with the man's daughter downstairs right below in the kitchen. Keeping in mind this was mid-summer so into the 80+ degree range, the guy had been up there for a good week or more and was only found because his daughter became worried and began searching around for him after a few visits with his car not moving. So the paramedic sets himself carefully on a beam after placing the body bag on the plank of wood the man had set up and my father uses scissors to slice the rope so they can lower him into the bag. The paramedic suddenly, due to the switch in weight when the rope was cut, loses his grip on the rope.
Long story short, this HEAVILY putrefied corpse slams down into the plank below him by a couple feet, smashed it in half, slides through the insulation below him and right through the kitchen ceiling into the kitchen proper where the other paramedic was consoling his distraught daughter. I'm unsure if you've ever seen a corpse left to it's own devices for a weak, but rotting sets in virtually immediately, the organs liquefy, the skin softens and the body bloats up with gas. The drop of maybe 10 feet ends with his body slamming into the kitchen floor and for all intents and purposes, "blowing up" like a water balloon. A water balloon filled with the most horrific smelling decomp you can imagine. Daughter and other paramedic are showered with bodily fluid, pus, and maggots. My father said he felt utterly awful about the ordeal, undoubtedly shit happens now and again even if you're being very careful, but he said seeing the state of the daughter after being literally splashed with her fathers rotting juices was quite upsetting.
I would think that given that this was the 70's standards and practices have likely shifted a great deal since then. I would hope that today you wouldn't be trying to move the body with the daughter right underneath. All things said she took it quite well apparently, never filed any lawsuits for distress or anything. As hard as you try, you're always going to have that one in a thousand shot where everything goes completely wrong and things quickly go out of control.

TJailinhT I was just trying to be nice and give my condolences. I forgot I commented this. Not trying to shove religion down anyones throat.
I've been a paramedic for a couple of months now, for Ambulance Victoria, Australia, and I would like to personally thank everyone who has commented saying how much respect they have for EMT's. Yes, there is a lot of truly horrifying casualties/patients, and we have to do everything we can, putting out feelings/thoughts aside.
But the true reward, is not only saving lives, but the respect we get for becoming something many of you could become.
They have fantastic program's to work you towards any of these fields, I recommend joining! :)
(Feel free to ask questions.)
So I've been considering becoming an EMT for a month or so now, however I'm still studying something that is unrelated to EMS. Do you think it'd be too much if I try to do both?

In EMS we have a saying, "What's the difference between a fairy tale and an EMS story?" A fairy tale starts out "Once upon a time...." An EMS story starts out, "No shit, this really happened!"
That said my first patient as a Paramedic was a motorcycle rider who smacked into the side of a little old lady's car, broke both femurs one of which broke through the skin. The car he hit was being driven by my Grandma.
My second patient was my Grandma who was uninjured but went home and started having chest pain.
That was 32 years ago and I am still a Paramedic!

Until she screamed the words "God help me!" and I spat it out gasping for air. I always wondered whether it was a miracle or just a coincidence.

+SatanThePenguin Damn, that's some scary stuff. Most kids would probably just panic.
CreepyPasta that I wrote: My mother and I used to go to this park in the Eastern side of our town. We went there every weekend, and we always brought snacks, beverages, and occasionally bird seed so we could feed the many birds that often flew by us. There was a rumor about this park that was quite unsettling though. Apparently, there was a dead human corpse found in this park, and after that "incident", not many people had interest in going there anymore. I, on the other hand, loved this park and always had interest in going there, as well as my mom. My mother and I have always had a very close relationship, So, going to this park was always a really enjoyable "mother, daughter" time. On this one day in particular though, something did not feel right. As we walked around the park, looking for a decent place to set up a picnic, I noticed that there was nobody in the park. At first, it did not seem too odd, but there was usually always a few other people in the park, besides us. After searching for a good place to set up, we finally found one. My mother said "you can go play while I get everything ready". I loved to play, so I took this opportunity to go play with my soccer ball that I had brought with me. I walked over to the small field that was close to where my mom was setting up the picnic, and kicked my ball around. I was probably playing for about 4 minutes until I heard a whisper from the woods next to me. I turned my head, to see man who looked homeless, staring at me. I asked "um can I help you?". He just kept staring at me, and said "no, but I like to punish the kids come into my park". At this point my heart was starting to race. I could tell that he could see the terror in my eyes. I thought that at any moment, he would try to chase after me, or just pull out a gun and shoot me. I took a deep breath in and turned around to look for my mom, but I couldn't see her anywhere. I knew that if ran, he would chase me, but I really needed my mom. I found myself stuck in the middle of the field, holding my soccer ball with no one else around except for this guy. I didn't know what to do. I wanted to call out for my mom but what if she was up to this too? What if she hated me all this time and was just waiting for the right moment to get someone to take me out of this world? I was having so many thoughts run past my mind, until I finally forced myself to have the courage to run. I ran, holding my breath, waiting for severe head trauma, or foot steps running fast behind me. I didn't want to look back, but I had this voice in my head that told me I needed to. I stopped running, took a deep breath in, and turned around. No one was there. I had a sigh of relief for a moment, until someone grabbed my throat from behind me. It was the guy. I practically collapsed in fear, and I knew for sure I was going to die. So instead of fighting back, I let this person harm me. I passed out after awhile, and awoke in a hospital. I needed to be in medical care for about 4 months until I was able to go home again. I later found out the man that tried to kill me, was a serial killer who had killed over 40 children in many states in the U.S.A, and before authorities could find him, he would flee to another state and would take the lives of more innocent children. He may have also been the reason why I never saw my mother again. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole. I still think to this day, that he might have murdered that person that was found dead in that park many years ago, and I still wonder who that person who brought me to the hospital was. All I know is, I'm never going back to a park again. At least, not until my mother is found.
so he killed the mom?
so he killed the mom?

ive heard it pronounced both ways
It is Few-Tile
Doesn't it depend on where your from? In the UK we do say few-tile but I've heard it said different. Languages huh? Such a pain lol✌️✌
it is fu-tile if your Patrick Stewart... or the Borg... specifically Lucutis of Borg... nerds 🤓
I think it's weird how similar my voice is to yours, only difference is I have a pretty obvious British accent. Felt pretty odd about it, but after seeing how many people like yours, it might be a blessing lmao. Awesome video too.

After my second son nearly choked to death on his own vomit when he was just a couple weeks old, I was so scared for my third and fourth sons that I actually had a breathing monitor for them that attached to their nappy while they slept.

My father was an EMT when I was around 5 years old. One thing I remember from this time was a girl in my school who I passed every day. I didn’t know her very well but I wanted to get to know her but being a shy 1st grader I didn’t know how to greet people without being nervous. One night my father got a call for an emergency around my school’s area. He gave us a description of the the girl I instantly knew it was her. She had shot herself.
To the officer of the last story. I never went through what you did, but I done the same with my daughter. Couldn't sleep for a long time or would wake up checking on her. Making sure she was still breathing. It's an awful feeling and I am sorry you went through that. It's so heartbreaking. Bless you and all the good officers, emts, and other workers like you!

Such a voice! Thank you for shedding light.

Police and Paramedics are usually at the same scenes.
For example, a suicide, Paramedics are first on scene to witness it all(apart from the person who made the call)
Then police will be on scene to investigate
The story from #5 sounds like a typical day at my local bowling alley.
It's because of stories like these that I appreciate EMTs and law enforcement so much more than I ever!
Love your channel and videos Corpse Husband! Thank you for the scares!
I cried during the last one. Am I the only one?

+Eddie Clark oh.

I need more of these stories! I think I've listened to this whole video playlist like 3x over. I've tried listening to other people's but I prefer the way you read them.
I've become hooked on your stories Corpse, you've got a great narration voice. I want to thank you for sharing your awesome work and also as an AEMT and Firefighter, thank you for sharing the stories of first responders. Keep up the awesome work
My gandpa was a rcmp officer who was called in when a flash flood hit a trailer. When he got their a women had half her body crushed by the trailer he told that she new she was going to die and she said goodbye to all of her family members when they took the trailer off of her, she went into cardiac arrest and died.
Idk if can handle theses anymore
that line"screaming in spanish" caught me off guard.
Thank you policemen and emt for risking your lives for us
Can you make more of these please
Im a new mom and i can relate to the last story in the sense that when my son was between 0-6 months id constantly check on him in fear that sids would claim his life...i barley slept at all...i still get paranoid that something will happen to him, i think i always will..
Major props to all the EMTS, police, & any other forces that have to deal with such heartbreaking circumstances.
America needs more cops like these. Just good upstanding citizens trying to make a difference.
America problably does. They're just too busy trying to hide or trying not to get hospitalized by self righteous lunatics. It sucks that the "okay" protestors get absorbed by the majority.
My husband is an EMT, does mostly transfers and psych patients. This is such a tragically underpaid profession. I could never do what he does. He's had to pick up a young child who was a 51/50 and my husband was the one who talked this child into coming with them, that they were going to help him. A CHILD being taken to a psych ward. That breaks my heart ... Then to hear about a family loosing two children in a car wreck and one of the child practically exploded? Omg, these guys don't get enough credit.
i hate when i have to hear these stories makes anyone feel bad.
I love being an EMT, but the pediatric calls can be really difficult. I once took a 4 year old girl to a psych ward for suicidal and homicidal actions. Turns out she started out normal but her parents abused her so badly it shattered her mind (they are in prison now btw, i least thats what i heard). She was really sweet to me, but reading through her papers was like a reading a horror story and it was hard to believe that behind that cute little face was a person who attempted murder and suicide multiple times. I didn't even know that such a young person could be taken to a psych ward or even baker acted.
Redink524 4 years old wow
Redink524 my husband has had to pick up children like that. The child he coaxed was cowering in a corner refusing to go, so he called him down and was able to transport him. He even let him play on his phone during the ride (the kid was so excited to play "temple run") and just getting that kind of attention seemed to calm him. I don't know what he went through it was just sad to hear someone so young go through that. A 4-year-old? I can only imagine what she went through to already have suicidal and murderous tendencies 😢. I hope she got the help she needed.
Carolina Murtha yeah all of these people and especially children for the matter going through this kind of pain makes me question the human race. For example what 4 year old child becomes suicidal when she is only 4? My opinion they should blame these parents for being this much of a disgrace to god dam children. Seems unreal but its a reality.
I've always wanted to be a police officer when I grow up
Me too
Same bro
I am glad to hear someone give the police the due respect they truly deserve. At the end of it all these people are willing to face fear, violence, all the hideous things we are unable to face ourselves. The list goes on I am very grateful for the police and the services they provide for all of us especially protection and safety.
More of these stories!!!! And more le search and rescue.
holy shit that story about the old lady liquefying onto the couch was amazing
Dude your weird af
"I have seen many corpses before"

Thank you all EMT and Police Officers that respond to the most gruesome stuff no one else could handle.
That's rlly sweet that he put that message out
My parents are in EMS and I've heard some horror stories from them. EMS respect!
Oh no, the kid slaped at my rock
‘She looked like a slinky’

The last story killed me inside, in 2013 me and my family lost my 1 year old baby brother Tommy to meningitis. And last year in August we lost my dad to multiple cancers. Guys, cherish your loved ones everyday 💖 you never know when your ripped from them 💖
