I recessed my rear caliper pistons on my 2015 Mazda 6 and they were both clockwise turn to recess back into place. I also used the Lisle 28600 caliper tool which fit perfectly and attached to a standard ratchet. Good video and was very helpful.

Just a friendly reminder to whoever comes along looking to know how to do the rear breaks. The method shown in this video is ONLY FOR 2014/2015. The 2016 and newer have an electric parking break and the car must be put in "service mode" before taking off the calipers.

I have a Mazda 6 like this. I am constantly changing pads on it. I've tried ceramic instead of semi metallic, Ive tried different rotors, etc... I can probably do this job eyes closed at this point...
Great video as usual! Real pros :)

Putting a rotor on a rusty surface, pushing the dirty piston into a calipper, assembling the rotor without runout measurement, and this type of grease... Really great job x)

Approximately how much time did it take for the front brakes only? Thank you!

Hi guys your video was the best unfortunately there is nothing for a 2014 Mazda 3 that includes the rear caliper piston adjustment that you show on the 6 can you tell me if the same instructions are good for that model also ?

We currently haven't performed a brake job on this particular year, make and model. I'll keep this in mind if we have on in the shop in the future.

@@HomeOwnerRepair - Okay thank you for responding - Your video was good enough for the basics and I appreciate it.
I'm a construction heavy equipment mechanic and doing this for a (single mom of 2 who is struggling) I'm pretty good after 30 years so just going to wing it.
