That Conn is a beauty! I am looking to get a nice new horn myself. Would you recommend it?

wow! the quality of recording you get from your phone is unbelievable - I've been half - heartedly searching for some sort of microphone for recording trombone for a while, and having just got a galaxy s6, think I will give this a go, though one question- does it record well in smaller spaces or does the size of the room you were recording in contribute to the quality?

I don't know yet, I unfortunately! I originally intended to record sound separately with my ZoomH2n, but then didn't use the recording because it was so good with the S6 edge and more realistic, for the Zoom was standing closer to the organ (you can see me start the recording on Zoom and the playback on iPad at the beginning of the video). So it was the first trombone recording I did with this phone 😉 The church acoustics is good, of course, but it is surely worth a try in smaller rooms. If you want really good recordings, neither Zoom nor S6 can match my RE27-microphone, which is great for trombone recording but not for "the whole picture" ☺️ Have fun experimenting!
