Bro, intro got me pumped…being a south-Florida kid, I dreamed of fishing from that same location…closest I got was Florida Sportsman Magazine, but it’s so sweet to see that dream come true! And there is no better feeling than schwacking the target species! Killing it
For future reference, I know a charter captain out of Destin who will use both his trolling motor in spotlock and his main engine barely in gear when the current is REALLY strong and he’s having a hard time holding over a reef spot offshore. I’m curious if that trick would help you in the Keys too.
Banger video bro, I love fishing the keys. Can't wait to get back down there watch out for those shark's tho. But I did take advise from one of your last videos and made a trip down to Ponce Inlet and got on a couple gator blues and a blacktip
What the mutton are doing is schooling in numbers to stay safe or warm. They will be all within a inch or two in size. Fish under the bridge or in Atlantic side just outside of under bridge
@@AbenzFishing also I meant to type 6-7 inch but when you have 10 inch mutton smashing 4 to 5 inch baits it makes me wonder if there's really such thing as a lure that's "too big" lol
Next time you’re stuck on the same size fish move around, start drifting. Mutton’s are like yellowtails where they stay within schools of similar size to each other. 🤙🏼
Aaron, what a cool video! Great catch… keeper inshore Mutton. Was that you first inshore keeper Mutton? Can’t wait for the next Key’s video. Stay safe out there brother!
Aaron I just put in an order for an Abenz topwater plug and a couple shirts But accidentally put the wrong shipping address My phone auto filled the information from my previous address I sent a follow up email with the correct address locally here in Stuart Sorry for the mix up Ty brotha @abenzfishing
Fishing like this and around the mangroves is the way. Great video!
Thanks - it was a blast!

That’s awesome bro - you and me both! I finally got to fish it, it’s an epic spot! The Islamorada is awesome
You do such a good job at making your video look like a perfect in between of casual and professional for all viewers
Thanks man! I try to do exactly that lol - this one was more raw footage. Just me and the chesty and a day of fishing

I’ve seen that too - works great! The current was really kicking here, it’ll drain the trolling battery fast
To me the willingness to try new things and to go off the original plan is a mark all great fisherman have. Great trip and great video man! 🎣
Thanks for watching!

That’s awesome. The keys is an insane place. Even thought the muttons were not huge, to get this many in a place I’ve never fished is wild
Thanks for sharing, that looked like a blast.
Thanks for watching!
I am also rockin that 5000 Stradic. Loving it!
Absolutely awesome reel
Awesome video babe - can’t wait for the next ones ft yours truly 😅
Soon!

Thanks! Next time I will - I know absolutely nothing about muttons
I enjoyed this one a lot man. Keeps getting better 💪🏽 🔥
Thanks bro!
Out of context quote of the day: “It feels like a 3inch snapper pecking at your shrimp.”
😂😅😂
Try a 6 to 8 inch soft plastic swimbait/jerkbait/fluke. You may get less bites but you should get better bites.
I will next time for sure - was tough finding the bigger ones

@@charlesvannoy4145 true that

That wasn’t a grunt it was a lane snapper
I got a 22" mutton right there last time I was there on my kayak
Hey Abenz, could you do us (new fishermen) a solid by posting your gear that you're using in the video description?
Yes - I will in future video - thanks for the suggestion!
What size was the zman minnow swimbaits 4 inch or 5 inch?
4 inch
What shrimp lure and jig head is that
