1. I wear Crocs daily; comfortable, durable, weather proof, washable, cost effective, goes with everything. Birkies wouldn't last a day. 2. All platforms look stupid. Crazy wedges. Extreme heels. Stop it. 3. Why do cold shoulders exist? My bust is too large for a strapless bra. That's not an area that needs more attention. 4. I'll stop wearing bike shorts when I find other shorts that fit. I'm tall with a long torso. No one makes extended sized tall clothes (it's more than length). 5. If jeans are labeled high rise they should come up to the natural waist. Mid rise is under the belly button. Stop the fraudulent labeling to match the trend. 6. What is wrong with NATURAL eyebrows? No one has brows that match. Faces aren't symmetrical. That's character. AI can't dupe that. 7. What's the point of vests? My arms and butt get cold before my torso does. 8. Skinny jeans and leggings. Stop the doomsday predictions. They are here to stay (same with bike shorts). Women deserve comfort, economical, minimal fashion for an active daily lifestyle without feeling self conscious. We need to support each other. 9. Trucker hats work with pony tails, long hair and big heads (a lot of hair). Often it's a trucker hat or nothing. Might as well own the style. 10. "Quiet luxury" please go away. I'm tired of the pretense, judgemental and wasteful lust for luxury brands. It's marketing bs. It always involves judging someone else as "less than" when the reality is there can be very minor differences in the quality of a label, maybe made in the same factory, that's much less expensive. I can go on about how much I've grown to HATE the "quiet luxury" pretentious labeling. It's judgemental, wasteful consumerism at it's worse. And the corresponding counterfeit designer label love. Fashion should be about self expression, not fitting in or looking like someone else. Be yourself. Love yourself. Don't judge others.
I was going to say I hope the barrel leg jeans trend goes, but honestly I never see anyone wearing them in my area! Only fashion influencers. I agree that low rise jeans and cold shoulder tops can go!
Say Good Riddance To: 1) torn jeans, 2)tops too small, 3)too much make-up, 4) sleeveless jackets over tops,.5) showing too much cleavage, 6) wearing PJ's in public, 7) Ugh boots but on a different note - if you are going to wear a short skirt or dress - LADIES LEARN HOW TO SIT!!. (I'll get off my soapbox now) Love you Cathy!💜
I know this is a site for women but can I just say…guys, please stop wearing dress shoes with your suit AND NO SOCKS!!! Gosh I hate when I’ve gone to a wedding, groom & his posse are in tuxes & nice dress shoes but not wearing socks…it just looks so low class. Okay I’m done 😄
We went to a funeral recently and my mom couldn’t get over how the minister was on the platform with no socks! We kept telling her it’s the style but she wasn’t having it……
I don't know why, but the cold shoulder tops just always have looked trashy to me. The eyelashes looked like caterpillars to me! This was a fun post and I was happy to find that I didn't find anything that I need to change.
SOOO totally agree with every item you mentioned! The only redeeming value to crocks is to be used as a gardening shoe - easy wash off for those muddy days.
The baseball caps are here to stay. I don't look good in any type of hat, but I know those caps are never leaving and they look cute on so many. I think we should wear what we like and not worry what others think.
This was a fun video, Kathy! My daughter used to get eyelash extensions, the kind that are as you said "cow eyelashes". I always thought thy looked ridiculous but she loved them. I kept my mouth shut because I didn't want to hurt her feelings but was very glad when she began to wear a more natural looking false lash instead. She has big, beautiful, blue eyes and what she wears now really brings out their beauty.Sometimes being a good mom means letting your tongue beat your brains out no matter how old your kids are!🤣
It may be gone now, but I was appalled when acid wash denim came back. 😁 Oh, I admit, I wore it the first time - you wear some crazy things when you’re young!
Big dark painted on eyebrows.. the “cow” eyelashes😂, sport bras for shirts and jeans with rips all over them, why pay money for them, just cut and rip your old jean. My kids would want them and I refused to buy them. This is just my personal preference and opinion. Have a wonderful day!
I would like to see baggy, pleated pants that are 4" too long go away. They just look sloppy to me. I still wear crocs for gardening and whatnot, but wouldn't be caught dead in them out in public.
Can someone please explain to me why (young) men wear their hats back to front and also indoors in restaurants etc . I know I’m old but is it still a “cool” style? Thank you.
Oh my goodness, I laughed out loud at the "cow eyelashes"!! I'm a former farm girl and I know exactly what cow eyelashes look like. They're fine for cows but, I agree with you, they're not for people!
Hi! I’ve worked in healthcare almost 15 years, I had the Birkinstock shoes that look the same but no holes on the top & they were able to be sanitized in the autoclave ( the machine that sanitizes all of our utensils, like at the dentist, when you see them open all those packages, those have been in an autoclave, unless they are giving you the tools when you leave but, I’d still be leary. If the not taking it out of an autoclave, idk🤷🏻♀️ just tell them if you can see the symbol that shows a different color after it’s been in the autoclave 😃 look up what color it should be after autoclaving. You mentioned a few others, weren’t those jeans where the muffin top hanging over, out of style, in like 2010??? I lost 170 lbs almost 20 years ago so, I appreciate the higher waist line. I do mostly wear skinny jeans, which I would never have worn before! Let me be honest nothing I wear now, is stuff I’d have worn back then! Amazing what dropping weight can do! In 54 & my daughter just turned 30, we exchange or I give her stuff , she gives me stuff. It’s because we have extra clothes all the time. She’s a size up from me so, I get new stuff. Sorry this was a longer message. I’m a new subscriber, hi!😃
I would never wear crocs anywhere but I like to wear them when I am cutting the grass or gardening. That's the only place where they work for me. Low rise pants were ok for me when I was in my 20's and a size 5. Today I would look silly in them but I'm 69 years old and the figure has changed considerably.
I agree with you. Some things were never flattering to begin with, but I'm not much of a trend follower, and just have a personal style that is easily modernized without all the trendy stuff. One exception is that I keep Crocs by the back door so I can just step into them and run out in the yard with my dog. They don't have holes. This is so easy, but I would never wear them outside of this, and never in public! Fun video! I never understood these trends in the first place!
I would love to see tattoos, piercings, big fake eyelashes, painted on eyebrows that look unnatural, more mature women with pink and green hair, AND yoga pants and sports top at the grocery store and post office go away! I know a lot of people love these trends but I hate them. I do however think people should wear what makes them feel good as long as it’s decent. Side note- yoga pants aren’t decent when the world can see every dimple in your butt cheeks. 😁
I agree with your list. I do have a pair of bright pink closed clogs in the material of crocs, but they are for walking around our farmland, when I'm not wearing my pink boots. The good thing about them is that they are easy to clean, but I never wear them out and about!
Cathy, agree with most of your comments but comfortable crocs help feet breathe, thick fake eyelashes do look creepy, and a belt with bling would look better than the shine on the fabric.
A couple years ago, Crocs were available in a narrower width than "classic" Crocs. I bought a couple pairs, and I love them. So comfortable, easy on/off. I'm 61, what do I care about fashionable shoes? I do wish highlighter nose would go away. It is so startling "in the wild", plus I spent decades preventing a shiny nose. Lastly, I hate decoratively ripped jeans.
I totally agree with all your picks. Also hate big oversized clothes in general unless you are very thin, you look twice the size. Also, I don't like the big earring look!
I know these are you personal opinions, and of course you most certainly are entitled. But please - people who wear Crocs (myself included) are not trying to make a fashion statement - it truly is a comfort thing. That said? Half of your alternatives were open at the toe, which kind of knocks your "gross, needles and stuff" out the window, no? 😉 The rest are truly just to each his own choices. I might hate everything you wear - should you care? I sure hope not. I'm confident enough to assess my look and truly not care who thinks what...... And there are no trends that I would want to see die. I just would not wear them if I did not find them personally flattering. Judgy is not a good look either.
Crocs are my go to shoes for the beach, or hanging out in the yard. Many years ago I was taught that fashion runs in cycles, and you don't ever repeat it. I wore low riders and platforms in the 70s, so I passed on them this time around. I would love to see those skinny jeans go away, very few people actually look good in them. Also Capris, need to go, the flatter no one's legs.
Hi Kathy, Yes many of these trends need to go. I don't own crocs or want crocs but they are ok for healthcare professionals. My grandsons wear them occasionally and for a time they were collecting the jibbitz charms. I don't like the eyelash extentions or hair extentions. Have a great week! Carol
I recently bought rainbow coloured fleece lined crocs and wear them for slippers. They are really comfy. Of course my two little granddaughters influenced my purchase. Lol
In some work settings Crocs are a safe shoe as they are easy to kick off if needed and very easy to sterilise on a daily basis as well as being comfortable. The big heavy eyelashes and super long finger nails hide a woman’s natural beauty. As always I think people should express themselves, not follow trends.
Agree except for my baseball cap. I wear mine when I’m working outside, playing tennis or running errands. It keeps the sun out of my eyes and my hair out of my face.
Cold shoulder, short sleeve tops are really great for us older gals with good necks and shoulders, but wrinkly tricepts. I call them tank tops for older ladies. Appropriate for more places than off the shoulder tops and you don't have to wrestle with uncomfortable, strapless bras.
Hi Cathy. I love all your videos! I agree with you on pretty much everything you said today. I really like your idea for the better shoulder tops.. Good tips. Take care. 👋💖
Hi. Cathy. Im. With you on everything you mentioned. Go away. Wild and crazy trends. Great suggestions. On styles. Thanks once again great advice video. 🙏🙋♀️👋✌️🫶😊❤🎉
I thought you said CROPS have to go and I said Yes! Crop pants and midi length skirts are not attractive on 95% of women. Wide leg crops are particularly unflattering.
Barrel pants should have been a one night stand. Unfortunately they will still be around for 2025. Cold shoulder should have been LONG gone. Like 10 years ago!
Whenever an influencer tells people what they shouldn't wear, there will be remarks that a follower loves that type of thing. I do like that you offered alternative looks. I do like baseball hats because they are popular in the States. I guess it's what you get used to seeing that makes something trendy or not. I don't like full-brimmed hats because I'm short and look like a mushroom if I wear one. They have some cuter baseball hats now for women that have ruffles and other designs. I do like your videos and watch them regularly.
Definitely agree with the embellished jeans and ripped jeans.. As a septaugenarian, I love my crocs and my baseball hats. As for the crazy eyelashes, they're for theatre performances or drag queens.
Most healthcare organizations require closed toe shoes which crocs do come in. Crocs can provide cushioning too. Crocs are good for yard work etc. And you can clean them with anything.
In Ontario, hospitals have banned crocs for staff as they can be very slippery on a wet floor. I slipped outside using these, very dangerous in the wet.
Hi Cathy l don’t like crocs and don’t like fake eyelashes I am looking for a nice pair of Sneakers to wear I have enjoyed watching this video and I think some thing should go thank you for sharing it with us Cathy and have a lovely week ❤xx
I agree with pretty much everything on your list especially the crocs and the false eye eyelashes. I would add the torn jeans although I’ve heard they’re out now but I still see them everywhere and especially on women over 50 they look ridiculous in my humble opinion. Thanks Kathy. I really enjoy your content
The cold shoulder shirts - I just did not get it. My husband, for some reason, he was so in LOVE with them. He bought me one. Still on the hanger. Nope- don’t like it.
I'm 71, so I've seen and tried lots of trends. Classic styles for women over 50 in my estimation are best and add trend with accessories -- except platform shoes. Clunky at best, ugly at worst. Thanks, Cathy!
I have a pair of black crocs that I wear when I take out the garbage. :) I like the eyelashes as long as they're not stupid big. Like you, I have almost zero natural eyelashes and am just jealous, most likely. I haven't seen platform sneakers but I'm against them from the get-go!
I have the more sandal crocs for the summer. But 20 somethings by me love the big old ones. I’ve gone off cold shoulder but Bardot no even worse on me. Caps I wear a cap in the car with the roof down I have a big head so need the adjustment at the back and it’s the only thing that don’t fly off.
I have yet to watch your video (I will) but my the things that make me go yuck are: drawn on eyebrows, too thick and too black eyeliner, makeup that is shiny all over, obvious contouring, over lining your lips, crop tops, platform shoes, plastic footwear (unless you are under 10 or at the beach), pj bottoms in public, …..I could go on! 😅
Crocks and their knock offs are popular inside every country on Earth. The story of crocks goes back to a science fiction movie from the 70s .They were made for the movie by a small company. They were so comfortable that the company decided to make them for retail. The rest is history . I personally do not like them and are not a healthy shoe for the long haul ,however I think they are here to stay for a while.
I agree with your list. I think I still have 1 cold shoulder top that I like. I think those over the top fake eyelashes look ridiculous. Nothing wrong with false eyelashes as long as they look natural.
Crocs are here to stay, they've been around for years and they are so comfortable, false eyelashes, NO, cold shoulder tops won't be going anywhere, I love them and have several, I like to think they look good on me, as everyone says so🤣
I agree with most of what you said, however I do like my baseball cap or trucker hats for casual shopping days. My hats are classic looking and not wild pattern designs.

I agree !!!
Some may wear no show but I think many do not - and I agree - it looks awful. And I hope she says ripped jeans are out too!
Right on point, Cathy. Let’s be the very best version of ourselves! ❤
I have never liked the cold shoulder look … it’s always been out for me!
I don't know why, but the cold shoulder tops just always have looked trashy to me. The eyelashes looked like caterpillars to me! This was a fun post and I was happy to find that I didn't find anything that I need to change.
Caterpillar is a good word for those horrible lashes. I’ve called them tarantula lashes. Yikes!
Glad that you enjoyed it! 😊

I hate enormous eyelashes and also wildly overlined lips ❤
Thank you. I agree 100%

Oh my goodness, I laughed out loud at the "cow eyelashes"!! I'm a former farm girl and I know exactly what cow eyelashes look like. They're fine for cows but, I agree with you, they're not for people!
Agree with all of these! BRAVO👏
I would be happy to see the back of all of these plus ripped jeans, hillbilly shorts, cropped tops and jackets and the all neutral outfits.
Hi! Pretty much agree with everything, except I do think crocs are handy in the garden…you can slip them on and off easily and hose them down.
Makes sense! 😊
Agree. Doing yard work, or digging around in the garden, but not when doing any mowing....too much chance of injury.
I agree with you. Some things were never flattering to begin with, but I'm not much of a trend follower, and just have a personal style that is easily modernized without all the trendy stuff. I know a lot of people love these trends but I hate them. I do however think people should wear what makes them feel good as long as it’s decent. Side note- yoga pants aren’t decent when the world can see every dimple in your butt cheeks. 😁
I agree with all your trends that should go! 💙💙💙
Definitely agree with your top 10 list, especially those lashes!!
I agree with your list. I do have a pair of bright pink closed clogs in the material of crocs, but they are for walking around our farmland, when I'm not wearing my pink boots. The good thing about them is that they are easy to clean, but I never wear them out and about!
I really hate uggs. My 22 year old daughter loves them, though, so I’ll be buying her a pair for Christmas! 😂
LEGGINGS!!!!!!! I AM SO TIRED OF SEEING THE OUTLINE OF A PERSON'S PERSONAL AREA
They are not supposed to worn as pants!!
@@ACanuckinAlabama EXACTLY!!!
I agree with these wholeheartedly.
I've never understood the cold shoulder look.
Cathy, agree with most of your comments but comfortable crocs help feet breathe, thick fake eyelashes do look creepy, and a belt with bling would look better than the shine on the fabric.
I agree with every single one of these. Spot on, Cathy.
Some of those really high sneakers are dangerous!
Yes i have a pair of those narrower Crocs. I wish they still made them.
Agree, agree, agree! You are on the money with this one.
Ty Cathy, agree with all your RIP items ❤
I totally agree with all your picks. Also hate big oversized clothes in general unless you are very thin, you look twice the size. Also, I don't like the big earring look!
The pre-ripped jeans look so dumb. Also, I don’t get crop-top winter wear {sweaters, jackets, etc). Don’t you want to be warm in the winter?
It’s meant to be a fun video, wear whatever makes you happy.
HATE false eyelashes…..😅
Crocs are my go to shoes for the beach, or hanging out in the yard. Many years ago I was taught that fashion runs in cycles, and you don't ever repeat it. I wore low riders and platforms in the 70s, so I passed on them this time around. I would love to see those skinny jeans go away, very few people actually look good in them. Also Capris, need to go, the flatter no one's legs.
Love the video
Hi Miss Cathy! Loved your video! I hope see through skirts were a trend of the past, nobody wants to see my legs!
Agree except for my baseball cap. I wear mine when I’m working outside, playing tennis or running errands. It keeps the sun out of my eyes and my hair out of my face.
I believe ball caps will always be in. Like jeans. Always in. Permanent fashion staple.
I'm with you on all of this! High heeled boots with open toes, and short sleeved wool sweaters are so strange to me - seem like oxymorons!
Sorry im seventy five and still wear cold shoulder (as you call them) tops there is not much else you can bare at my age
My sister (an ICU nurse) says about low rise pants that she wants to catheterize that woman.
I totally agree with you on the eyelashes I think there not very flattering
Cold shoulder, short sleeve tops are really great for us older gals with good necks and shoulders, but wrinkly tricepts. I call them tank tops for older ladies. Appropriate for more places than off the shoulder tops and you don't have to wrestle with uncomfortable, strapless bras.
Hi Cathy. I love all your videos! I agree with you on pretty much everything you said today. I really like your idea for the better shoulder tops.. Good tips. Take care. 👋💖
Thank you so much!
Instead of crocks for the garden, get some Sloggers!! They're water proof and come in such cute patterns!
Hi Cathy, where would I find your pearl necklace please?
Hi, sorry for the delayed response. Here’s the link: rstyle.me/+ECpYfndPDMgWGnwjMtwWWQ
Hi. Cathy. Im. With you on everything you mentioned. Go away. Wild and crazy trends. Great suggestions. On styles. Thanks once again great advice video. 🙏🙋♀️👋✌️🫶😊❤🎉
I am very petite so low rise jeans are waist high on me. I never want the cool jean brands to stop making them. They fit me better than mid-rise.
Agree. Barrel pants are horrible.
I love my crocs‼️‼️‼️ most comfortable shoes I own! I will die on this hill! 😎✌🏼
i have two pair of crocs and just can't feel good in them EVER. i use one as a door stop !!! cold shoulder tops i never owned...they look so tacky.
Yep, no to big fake eyelashes & long long pointed fingernails!
Thankfully, I do t have any of those things you mentioned. I agree with you on all accounts.
I agree with you on all of these points!!
I like trucker hats
Trucker hats & Bag Chains are predicted to be the top accessories for 2025!
I agree!!
Ripped jeans gotta go. Ugh.
I agree with all of these! ❤
I’m a retired nurse: have always hated crocs: just ugly. I wore “klogs”…..they are expensive but comfortable and last forever!
❤ I absolutely agree that every one of these ugly styles should be banished but crocs and super lashes are top off my "Be gone!" list.
I like cold shoulder tops
The cold shoulder shirts - I just did not get it. My husband, for some reason, he was so in LOVE with them. He bought me one. Still on the hanger. Nope- don’t like it.
I never liked those. They don’t look good on anyone!
I have never seen them here in Europe. Nobody seemed to miss them.
I have terrible feet, so Crocs are my at-home slippers only. If I'm leaving the house to even get the mail, I wear regular shoes.
I absolutely love crocks!!
I don’t think Crocs will go away anytime soon.
Hello, how are you doing today?
I never heard the term trucker hats
I agree with your list. I think I still have 1 cold shoulder top that I like. I think those over the top fake eyelashes look ridiculous. Nothing wrong with false eyelashes as long as they look natural.
I don't follow trends, but I do wear crocks as slippers in the summer. They are so comfortable. I wouldn't go out in them though x
