Isn't it fascinating how this anime is endearing the qualities of selflessness in Mash, while also defining it as a societal handicap, along with his ruthless humanitarianism to protect his adopted family, along with the fact he's a magically incapable "muggle". Truly an inspirational tale of class struggle and solidarity, looking forward to the next season!

In mashle everyone has magic powers and mashle doesn't have magic powers but through training he gets it. That's the similarity, also the character reactions to serious things are identical.

I read both of their mangas. mashle isn't apathetic, he just expresses his emotions in a weird way, he doesn't even like to fight or use his powers, he just wants to be a chef, while saitama loves to fight and he becomes apathetic through that.
