Your street photo eye is fantastic, really. Loving these compositions and the overall vibe. A ton of instant classics. ❤ This is making me want to pick my cameras up again too, so thank you!
11:05 That lens wobble is an easy fix! There’s a little notch on the back of the lens element that you can take a small screwdriver and rotate clockwise and it’ll tighten back up 👍
Love the way you capture people and interactions! There’s been such a dip in this kind of street photography with the GDPR and everyone hypercpnscious about being posted online. Thanks for going outside the comfort zone and becoming comfortable with people like this, cause you dedinitely got the eye for it🔥
"Street" photography can be very rewarding. Every once in a while you might capture a once in a lifetime picture of people. My occasional foray into NYC during the 1970's and 1980's produced some of my very favorite photos that are still hanging on my walls. Next thing you might want to try are "street fairs." The expressions of people engrossed in food, music, and fun can be mesmerizing. 🥳
Great work Willem! I've been thinking an M4 would be a perfect choice for me if I jump back in to film. The simplicity of sunny 16 (with a little help from the hot shoe light meter) is intriguing. Thanks for sharing!
I find your 35mm photos much much better than once taken with 120.Of course we’re talking about different formats used for different purposes, but as Leica M6 shooter I like your new performance
The Voigtlander Color Skopar 35mm 2.5 is the lens I have been rocking all summer and it’s amazing! When I want 50mm it’s the Leica 50mm Cron v2. The Leica is amazing and does what I need! Fire video!
Rad to see you experiment with new ways of seeing man! Love that shot at 11:52, probably largely cus of the braveness involved in taking that camera into the water haha, also keeping the eyes peeled for the next wheelem viddy!
Really love seeing this side of your work man. Great compositions all around. Makes me want to rewind back to the start of summer again haha. Inspiring stuff
Lovely work, it’s crazy to see you do so amazing in this genre of photography so quickly, I love beach street photography so this was so awesome to watch
Great video! One word of caution: I learned the hard way not to take the Contax G cameras anywhere near salt water. The old electronics just can’t handle the exposure to harsh elements.
🔝 A really beautiful video with great photos! Great! Btw: Leica M4-2 with Summicron 50mm and Leicameter MR was my first camera in 1980. Nice memories. 👍
williem, you need to try the voigtlander nokton vintage line 35 f1.5 if you got the chance, or maybe to replace your color skopar. its an absolutely amazing lens, great optics, works amazingly even in f1.5.
Is there anything you don’t like about the m4-2? Trying to decide on my first film m Leica. I keep comparing it to the m3 but the 35mm frame lines appeal to me
As owner of the Voigtländer f1.4 nokton . get the f2.0 ultron or the new f1.5 nokton .... ist way sharper and the 1.4 isn't usable much anyway. Very soft and dreamy.
Socks in the wet sand is crazy
Never heard of beach socks ma man?
My man refused to let the dawgs out
🤣🤣🤣🤣

I like this type of stuff more than pictures of expensive cars. You are really killing it it with your first year of street/documentary photography
As much as I love Fall, these images already have me missing Summer.
Come to the south, we have summer year round! 😂
Each time i see your videos, it inspire me. I mean it makes me want to go take pictures. Thank you for that.
“Ayooo, I might start acting different on the street” 😂
Literally my new favorite catchphrase 😅
Amazing work dude. Well done
Love the way you capture people and interactions!

For someone "trying" out street photography for the first time... I think you've "nailed it"!!

NEW STYLE IS UNREAL
Love the new journey, thanks for taking us along for the ride.
I have an M4-P and I enjoy these videos even more now watching you use the M4-2

So good! Just bought myself a Leica M5!
Lovely work, it’s crazy to see you do so amazing in this genre of photography so quickly, I love beach street photography so this was so awesome to watch
Really enjoying your work. The story telling is great, but the photography is even better. .. and with such a chilled out vibe 👌🏻📷

great stuff!! loved it.
The M4-2 & M4-P had those cheap paints on the film door from factory.
You can swap it out for any other M back from M3 to the M5
This was fun to watch, thanks for sharing the adventures!
Amazing at street photography right off the bat, no surprises there!
Just bought my first film camera, the canon New F-1! Cant wait to try something new. Im starting out with portra 400

Joe and Wil in the same video again. How do i like this video more than once?
Absolute bangers mate!
Is there anything you don’t like about the m4-2? Trying to decide on my first film m Leica. I keep comparing it to the m3 but the 35mm frame lines appeal to me
Beautiful images!! Are these straight out of the camera, Or did you mess with them in post? Also shot on what film? Thank you.
So many of these shots are sharp! Are you hard focusing or scale focusing?
These photos look soo good man, well done
Holding hands tonight gets me stunt! hahaha
I love the nostalgic feel the film gives of the beaches. If you put a zine together or a book, I would gladly buy it. What film did you shoot mostly?
Great work! Should've taken the ferry back to New Bedford. A great photo city.

Beautiful film Willem 👏🏽👏🏽
Beautiful photos Willem!!! Do you scan in Frontier or Noritsu?
Love your new approach📸

So many awesome shots packed into this one! Loved it brother! Summer '25 is going to be insane
Much love from Santa Monica, CA 🤙🏻🇺🇸✝️

Love my Leica M4-2 even more that my idol has one
Should have hit NH and ME. I'd say come back for fall, but the leaves are already changing.
How accurate is that light meter?
Reminds me of Alex Webb's work!
aayyoooo i might start acting different on these streets!!!! so good!!!!!
Hot take but…I love the form factor of the skopar more than the 35mm 1.4 lux on a rangefinder body 😂
what film did you use here?
Willem ur the goat bro
Great pictures

8:56 With the socks!!! =0

70 rolls in one summer? I've probably shot 70 rolls in 3 years 120 film 😭
man, I gotta go harder..
Yay! The 35 Sumilux-m is definitely the lens for you!
Just sold my M6 with MP upgrade to buy an FX6! 😂 still got rolls of cinestill in the fridge tho…might get a black M4
next time you seeing joegreer please remind the man he has a youtube account
Get a 1.4 for a 2.8, for such a mistake 20 bucks is too much, I am pretty sure that I would get it for 10. LOL.
love the video but the clip of you walking with the leica right next to the ocean gave me a heart attack
wet socks in the sand is crazy 💀
Porsche update please!
WillemStreet
So .... about that lady holding the crab for fun....
