Hibiscrub has helped my westie a lot .maleseb has been helpful too..what also has been a big help is changing is diet off of kibble and onto a premade raw diet-theres loads of companies that deliver brilliant raw dog food in the uk.I also found Dermacton shampoo bar wonderful.helped heal his scabby skin right up.He has become very itchy because he had some fleas😣treated those but left with the itchy skin..which is how I came across your video.😊Hope youve managed to find something that helped.

Interesting video Karen. I think it's ridiculous having to buy such expensive products when there are other alternatives available. Thanks for sharing. Hope Watson is doing well now.

Please do one on dust mites. I have a Minpin and she is an itchy mess for about 4 months out of the year. Have tried so many things to help her and so far...nothing is 100%. Great video and great info. Parents of itchy dogs love to learn new things to try to give relief to their fur kids. Thank you.

We have gone thru the exact same things with our itchy cats.... I found the same ingredients in hibicleans and nizoral shampoo (for humans) here in the U S..... Much much cheaper than the vet products and I get the nizoral in a prescription for my own scalp that is partly covered by insurance.... It always pays to do a little research doesn't it.........

Hi Karen, you should have mentioned about your dog photography on this video in case anyone searches for itchy dog.. Ted seems to finally stop licking his paws. Gonna share this in Bichon Group I belong to because so many get itchy dogs. x

+Mel Parkin You're right I know, I've just got really paranoid about "advertising" anything after that blooming video that seemed to bother people so much. Anyhow, it was you I was talking about in the video that used the shampoo :0) Thanks so much for sharing it! x

Chlorexidine is also antifungal but for another kind of yeast than ketonazole or miconazole.

Don't know if this helps. My dog went through many many products to find an answer for his flaking and oiliness. Regular version of Head and Shoulders shampoo was his answer

After watching your video weeks ago ,it made me think.I have been back and forward with my dog for years because is skin.He haves Malassezia that is caused by yeast , causing him really bad ear infections, itchy skin, bad tummy, itchy paws etc...He was on Apoquel for a couple of years that works very fast but the side effects are not nice ,plus Apoquel was not working any more, now he is taking steroids and having frequently baths with microbex that actually it worked amazingly in is really bad skin, the vet recommend bathing every day for 7 days and now he looks so much better and is able to sleep.
I always was very careful with my dogs diet ,till I started to cook his food he doesn't get along without dog brand food from supermarket s ,I was cooking him brown rice, veggies, turkey, chicken, fish giving him his dog supplement s ,oils etc.
He still was having problems with his skin. Now he is on a free grain, free meat diet.I buy his food in a pet shop now his food is made with fish, sweet potato and other heathy ingredients no wheat ,no grains etc.
He is must better I know he loved his cooked meals, but at the moment we trying this food .The vet said he may allergic to all kinds of protein and may have to try other dog food so we will see.
So I paid for a 6 month prescription from the vet for his Microbex shampoo but funny enough is out of stock from much online pet sites I have looked. So today I have ordered a bottle of hibiscrub, because I saw your video a couple of weeks....My dog is going to is vet tomorrow to check his is improvement in his skin and ears....I have been spending alot of money for years in my dog because this issue another thing is try to get a second opinion with a different vet,my dog haves a new vet now ..I felt his old vet was stuck to only give him Apoquel ...that is extremely expensive even buying online with a prescription... Microbex it's expensive in the vets...So I will try the things you posted here,my dog still have some issues with his paws licking them alot but he is so much better that he was...Thank you for your video.

my 3nhalf year french bulldog was on apoquel then i read about how nasty it is. he is now on and for the last 2 year prednicare tablets. no more red itch feet or belly. he still has a rub but just like any other dog. food/dust/outside plant/tree/grass pollen... it all affects the poor animals. raw meat food that has not been fed certain grains or feeds is the way. with salmon etc and blueberries etc. good luck all..the vets are part of a scam that makes people pay 3x or more than same human product.

I starting to think that this itch is pass down from generation till today , the cost to stop a dog from destroying it's skin with vet treatment can run into the thousands of dollars .sound like a plot.

My dog is going through allergy elimination process. We are starting with her food and used a shampoo recommend by the vets called zincoseb. The shampoo is amazing but still scrating herself raw inbetween baths. She has also been treated for sarcoptic mange with advocate drops. Is there anything I can use inbetween bathing to help soothe her itching more. It's worse on her backend. Thanx in advance x

Have you tried Piriton? (Clorphenamine) - that helps Watson, along with his Apoquel at night. x

Hi just watched your Chanel and found it really helpful. I use Malaseb shampoo, and my vets prices are terrible do I looked online and found it far cheaper . Even with paying for a prescription I saved around £100.00 plus (£49.95 at vets £14.99 online plus 6 months prescription ) At the moment most online are out of stock so I called the vet who as an alternative have said to try douxo pyo S3 , which is around £13.00 and no prescription necessary, have order some fingers crossed. I have been told by the vet to put some hisyscrub on one of those cotton pads used for makeup removal then run under the tap to dulite squeeze out before use definitely helped with Oscars inching on his butt not tried on his feet, did help
