Redeploying the ladz to avoid a fight is brilliant point denial tactic. Huzzah, Foot of Gork! Goblinz held the line! The Tomb Kings list was clever. A hard fought draw. Well done. The coming restrictions will make for smarter armies. Congrats on the award for best painted army. Looking forward to reports from the next event. Cheers!
A very interesting Tomb Kings army list that I would have never thought of combining, very cool Bone Giant models too. These 20 person tournaments seem to be the perfect size, not too big or too small with lots of variety in the armies too. Keep up the hobbying n gaming, I really enjoy these battle reports
Yeah there was a lot of variety in lists , but hopefully the throne of skulls restrictions means we dont have to worry about dragons in lower points games.
Good report as always and looking forward to your next vids. I am currently on the waiting list for the next event, hoping they can expand out the tables a little haha.
You pick the order you charge in, but which ever charge you move. You have to go the most direct route to get in contact with most models. Either way it was low chance those giants were making contact
Generally even with two chargers you still need to endevour to use the shortest path unless doin so would make you fail the chare alltogether. In your scenario I would process it as both the bone giants and the swarms would roll their charge, move each unit and if all three successful then the bone giants would maximise one by one to the minimum amount possible to then have the tomb swarms fit in next to them via the shortest route? Messy, but you generally can't try to rig it to avoid things. Good solution in the end you went with, albeit after knowing the giants failed the tomb swarms would be further to your units left.
Did you have a video or reference for the other players lists? As a HE player I am just interested to see what other players run 👍🏼 also love your elf videos as a result 😂
I think the rules for charging are pretty unclear. I think you need to take the shortest path that also maximises the models in contact, but it’s poorly written
Yeah the rules are clear about minimum wheel and most direct path when charging But , there isn't anything in the main rules to help with multiple chargers , leaving room for each unit , they move at the same time , what if one unit blocks another etc , it can get messy. We did look up the rules and couldnt really find any help in there at the time. 😟
Skirmishers don't maximises they start with the closest and charge the nearest model. Then do the rest of the models until no more can make it into combat. All of the others models use their charge to start forming ranks and if they can't make the distance they die.
Shortest route. bone giants would never have been able to make that charge, probably illegal to even declare it as there isn't a possibility of making it. Rules is just skirmishers charging. closest model makes most direct path
Yeah it would have been better if the tomb swarms could have charged a different target , then they could have opened up a charge lane for the giants. But I wasnt sure how they all charge if the first unit blocks the other units , anyway we worked it out on the day.
@CreakyGamers I'm actually slightly interested here...technically they can't charge unless tbe charge is possible. But although they can never make it with the swarm they COULD make it if the swarms wiped on the fanatics so I think they could declare. Love the videos BTW
Love the videos! Great photos and animation
Thanks for watching 👍
That Tomb Kings army is gorgeous. Loving the batreps! Nice and short and to the point.
Yes it was a fantastic army.
beautifal battle report! fantastic job with the maneuvering, kept your dudes away from the giants for five whole turns and forced a draw! well done!
Yeah , not how I wanted to play , but at 1500 points I made a mistake by noy having any real combat punch .

Thanks , I plan to have more combat punch next time.

Good job on the paint

You won painting? 😮 how many mad cap mushrooms did you feed the judges? 😜
Congrats 😊👍😎
a tactical charge to avoid the fanatics breaks the rule for shortest distance, so its illegal charge
Yeah , but we were trying to find a rule that would allow it if there are multiple chargers , the book doesnt really say much on it 😨
did he remember his horse archers all block their own line of sight? must have struggled to get many shots on the sqigs
gorgeous armies!
Yeah no problem, it only took a few shots from the front few horse archers to hurt the the hoppers , they are T3 and no save on them.
nice colourful armies

Yeah I see your logic , but the swarms had to move first so they could open a charge lane for the bone giants.

Yeah I did a bit of tier list for fun before the tournament , you might see the High Elf lists here.

So many dodgy rules writing errors by classic retarded GW, again

I don’t get the AI voices…apparently you enjoy using them.
Oh well , you can always skip ahead like most people do, I amuse myself.
@ it’s through out, but dealing with it so far. That said, make yourself happy.
I love hearing some Arnie. Reminds me where I'm from (Austria) :)
It sounded like Napoleon Dynamite at first 👍🏻
