Ken has to be the best character in sf6 my boy almost has endless possibilities to cook in this game. And nothing is over the top or broken about him. Great info and content Rush 👍
You can also Cross-cut DP by holding down-back and then rolling to down, and back to down-back as they go over you (which will register as down-forward at that point). The game will still read all three inputs plus the punch button as a DP. Same method from SF5. I forget whose video I saw about that first.
Hmm I noticed that if I just do a regular DP motion, and just delay the button press until the opponent has crossed over, the crosscut dp still comes out. Works well in training mode and reliable as well in matches. Just gotta get the timing down.
Good tip about the DP situation. I found the same thing has been happening to me. Also seems easier to determine if theyre jumping in front or behind from a crouching position, because from standing it all seems a little ambiguous.
OK now this is TOP quality content. I think I suggested something similar before but didn't expect you'd read or follow up on it ha ha. This is amazing. Maybe some more suggestions would be whiff punishing and corner pressure. Daigo's corner pressure with Ken is amazing, you can learn a lot from him.
Depending on spacing yes you're in a mixup. Think of it like this. If you're minus (but not punishable) and in throw range you need to guess on attack or throw. Yo defend Vs these options you either block or press throw yourself (delay tech). If you're minus but out of throw range theres no reason to tech (unless they walk forward but this is a risk on their end). The threat of parry exists too, being minus but not punishable, you can parry instead of block which will treat strikes in the same way BUT parry had the added reward of perfect parry
I really like your channel and your content and I want to support you by sending uploads to friends but I am the only ken player I know. Are you considering branching out to other characters or general sf6 content? I guess it would lower the quality of the ken specific content but it would broaden your potential audience by a lot since youre analytical mind would find new fans of other characters pretty quickly i'd think
Thank you man. It terms of content for the first ranking season I plan to stick with Ken. I may switch later in the next season based on my experiences in season 1. There will be more generic SF6 stuff rather than just Ken's things. Ultimately though this is just a side hobby for me outside of my day job and 3 kids
@@RushG works from TC run tatsu ender whiff 5LP immediate 623HK. Also auto timed if you do it immediately after normal hit sweep. On punish counter whiff LK first then do it immediately.
@6:08 Not sensible"? Naw. I can see Tokido, Sako, Xiaohai, Kazunoko, Momochi make such perfect calculations they intentionally trade every time. Looks very very doable intentionally.
Some trades are easily confirmed and can be scouted without trouble. I agree. The trades "I" show off OD Jinrai are somewhat unreliable due to spacing and difficulty ensuring you're space correctly from the trade. Hence my statement. There are better more reliable options available
Rush, you ever try OD dragonlash to punish sweep? I think it has the same startup and allows you the full combo, you get either running DP or running tatsu after OD dlash -> c. LP chin buster -> run -> special move
@@RushG Just labbed why this wouldn't work... 9f startup is until the first hit comes out but that only hits airborne targets. The startup until it hits the target on the ground is much longer. Tatsu still best punish (or s. HK)

Maybe his ability to get someone in the corner literally off of anything.
Run Tatsu is pretty insane
Very short and sweet. Thank you so much man
Are you posting any sets? Like to see your ken in action
Right now I've focused more on content. I plan to knuckle down in the gene itself soon enough
Looking forward too it. Great ken videos btw. Best in the biz
👀
Super useful.
Way better than 20 minute combo vids of stuff I’ll never be able to do 😅
Those are the worst videos 😅

I’m gonna test this out
I used to do this in SFV and it was fine. Not so great in 6. Mixed results
If your roll it forward instead of to down I've noticed it will trigger a level 3. Think Infiltration did a video about it as well.

Your videos have carried me to Plat 1. Bless you.
All you man. You did the work ✊ 🔥
great video again - thanks Rush!
I love the way this guy says ‘punch’
I love these guides Rush. Your videos are criminally underappreciated all the best to you
Appreciate you man ✊🔥
Keep it coming man, super helpful!
As a Ken Main these are actually good tips. Time to hit the training arena and test this out.
Master Rush????? 💥💥💥..... ALL I'MMA SAY IS KEEP PUSHING.. GOD BLESS
👊
what I find so strange is Ive been pretty consistently getting cross cuts but just inputting the dp as t hey are going over me

Collective effort, appreciate the input and advice. Will keep it coming
killin it per usual my guy

@@RushG love ya big dog , hope all is well brother
Added to play list .. thanks
Man i really want to play but my Capcom Id is busted and keeps looping the log in screen even though my PSN is linked.
in sf6 L.dp has the most anti-air frames and no dp has anti-grab frames
Great tips and sick tech as always
Love the posts. Tried to switch from pad to hit box an modern to classic. Way to frustrating so I'm pretty much given up.
Hey rush, if i do a -3 move that leaves me next to my opponent am i putting myself in a 50/50 mix up or can i still tech there?

Thanks bro from 🇫🇷
Rush G cookin up that premium content. thanks for these. Tired of them Cammy Cakes flying over my face.
Sometimes we gotta retain, say no to said cakes
Thanks for all the Ken tips mate! Do you have any tips for Juri s.LP corner spam? She always has the time advantage against Ken.
No probs. I can't say I've seen this myself. Stand jab?
I'd need to look at the frame data and her potential follow up pressure
How do you get the dummy to sweep

Are you aware of the DI-safe HK dragonlash setups?
Not yet no

+26-31 is the magic number from what I've heard.
3k punish , with that wallcarry options from ken seems juicy. Thanks. Need to research what sweeps are -10 or more.
Have to focus on the range of the sweeps too
