(Sorry for my english) I really think that this band is completely underated or understimated. Its music, its lyrics, the sound when thay are playing live…I love them. Now that they are playing together again…it would be incredible to see them in Spain❤
We all allowed Rob to evolve into all that he still is , and has become. Let's be that kind of gentle to ourselves . And then there's songs like disease and you can throw it all out the window . Matchbox 20 is Rocking in 2025 .

I used to make fun of people who would cry and fall over when a band came on stage. I was blessed to see a 20-year reunion in Rogers, Ar. But when Rob Thomas came on stage I started to shake and cry, and my best friend had to hold me up. My favorite band for over 20 years. Please make music for another 25 years. This music has got through my darkest days. Thank you!

Just found this video. Won a contest through a Milwaukee radio station. Misjudged daytime Chicago traffic and almost missed the darn thing, but we were there for the taping! We ended up in higher seats stage right. What an awesome show. I do remember there being issues filming; might explain some of the volume and shaky video issues. We got kicked out after full band portion (I think only MasterCard VIPs were allowed to stay), so never got to see the acoustic set before now. Thanks so much for posting Thomas Schwoerer. And thanks for the memories.
my dog had a seizure today so for the next three days I going to do my best to make him feel better than good and I'm taking you with me via my phone because you make me feel better

Watched a home video, 3-4 years ago, of Rob Thomas, and wife (she tried to stay out of most of it), filmed at home. He is older now, and in the video, he seemed drunk, or having mental issues. Which would be a shame; he was so talented. His wife looked concerned, and not knowing what to do; she had this strained smile. He was singing, different of his/bands songs, one after another, playing guitar, piano. Seemed he was trying to relive some past years.

They aren’t on tour, but are doing some shows around the country. Seeing them in NJ at the end of the month, so do a search to see if they’re stopping near you.

I have so many mixed thoughts going through my head right now…
First, I want to (or feel like I need to) tell everybody to grow the ‘f…’ up… Grew up in this kind of poisonous atmosphere - even after 50+ years - still a freaking blood bath - because people just refuse to grow up and be human… it did not work folks, that’s it, for whatever reason and it happens… This isn’t a new story for anyone… Disappointed - maybe - but I question the sincerity of any person who would knife the hell out of their old mate because they are disappointed! Oh boo hoo! Get over it… What they are not thinking about is the legacy they are leaving their children. We do not live in a small bubble! Those kids (all kids in this situation) know what is going on. According to her, he’s terrible while according to him, she’s terrible. My takeaway as the product of said relationship, I must be no damn good coming from two ‘terrible’ people. It does a number and damage unspeakable on the kids… Great parenting at work…
Furthermore, I have never been a fan of a prenup. Told my ex no - no prenup and my reasoning was that he expected me to map out the divorce before we ever even got married… At the same time, there are times that it saves you thus my mixed emotions… Me, personally, I got ‘knifed’ in the divorce - Yay, ex… aren’t you special? Guess what? You are thinking you got away with something - sitting fat and happy on your pile of my funds - but, you lost me, far more valuable… I am convinced that people nowadays spend more time studying their next purchase of tennis shoes than they do looking for a life partner. What a shame! For me, I will never be married again… I don’t need a lousy rubber stamped piece of paper to certify that I love the man I am with. You give me love, loyalty, laughter and a heart of gold and I’m there…

I love this band aber I'm not crazy about how they are playing their own songs like they aren't taking them seriously.
How are they not taking them seriously? Did you even listen to what he said about after playing certain songs more than others, it doesn't do anything for them anymore....THEIR OWN MUSIC. So let's take in the fact that they still love the music they created , still love playing together, and for them to want to rekindle their love of one of their songs by changing tempo, key, the feel ,by leaving their comfort zone and using different instruments that are not their everyday instruments ....just to give a different perspective/mood and sound as professional as they are while showing us how talented each musician is in this band. How many other bands that you can name can do this. (I don't that long to wait for you to pull something out of your ass that isn't even remotely close as to what they have done), so I'll move on by saying that you think they aren't taking it seriously" But I bet ya watched the performance of every song , I get you may not like their different version of their own song, but you cannot say they aren't taking it seriously. If anyone isn't taking what they're doing seriously, it unfortunately is you.
