My son is playing "Here I go again" in his Rock School summer band project so I had to play him the original 1982 version. I always preferred the original lineup of Whitesnake, but I like that David re-records old songs to update them. Here I go again, Fool for your loving, now Stormbringer. I got to say this is a pretty awesome re-do. David sounds different of course, but he can still belt it out. He's still got the power. Good on you Mr. Coverdale. Keep rocking.

Yep totally agree. But Blackmore hated it. Felt the band was drifting too far from pure rock'n'roll...it was "too funky" for him. A year later Rainbow was born.

@@buzzloudlyBlackmore was going through a split with his then wife. He contributed very little to Stormbringer. He later admitted he should have done more. On tour he played these songs really well. He formed Rainbow as he wanted to play harder rock music. Decades later Blackmore wanted Coverdale and Hughes to front a Rainbow revival tour. Coverdale has made things up with Blackmore

This ( stormbringer ) was the first DP album my late mom gave me. Then she made up a " pocket money system " that basically was set up in the way that if I was " frugal" I managed to buy about 1 every 1.5 to 2 months. Desiree is a wonderful thing. ❤❤❤
Love it. Was not a huge fan when first came out - this tended to be the music of our boyfriends in our teens!!!!! Us girls tended to be Bad Company fans!!! Now in my 60s - must be nostalgia - but love this and it is definitely on my play list!!!! never too old!!!! And happy memories of good friends and good times - somehow more innocent days. love to all - thank you for the music 💗
