This almost brought me to an existential crisis in my room at 2 am. the aire of nostalgia and breath of adventure made me realize for the first time that I'm not a young carefree child anymore, and I never can be again. That makes me real sad, idk why this hit so hard
I share this pain a lot. I miss being young and not having to care about work or college and getting jobs and just being able to play games all day with my online friends. It sometimes feels like I'm the only one who longs to go back to these times but they've recently ended for me and I can't help but wish I'd lived my youth to its fullest. I'm 16 now and life is only getting more difficult. I have to work and pay to see my long distance girlfriend and I recently got kicked out and I can't even play video games until I get a new house. Hopefully we'll all be able to relive these old memories. Wake up... It's 2023 now. You've been asleep for a very long time.
This song makes me feel like I missed out on soo much in life and at the same time makes me remember a time I used to feel happy without knowing how hard and sad life is sometimes
This song played after I was killed in a Nether fortress. I went in to get a blaze rod and loot from chests. I had diamond weapons and mixed armor. I got greedy, and got killed. I raced back to the fortress to reclaim my gear. It was so far away that it all had despawned. I died again, and this song started to play after my second death. It had never played before in my game. I thought it was a music queue for death. It seemed appropriate. The melancholy and humbling melody. It was a lesson in humility and respect. I should have been more cautious and less greedy. Moments like this is why I love Minecraft and the composers behind the music. A wonderfully sad moment.
This is from a year ago, and I hope you're doing well, but yeah... One time I carried a villagers on a boat for thousands of blocks only for a creeper to surprise me and blow the villagers up, it then started raining in-game with a sad piano sound track lol. Minecraft has quite the timing when it comes to these.
This song makes me think about life, to when we were jus kids, playing in our backyards with toys, getting up super early in Christmas to open the presents, to when we had so manny friends, this brings me back to when we weren’t adults and didn’t had to pay bills, to when everyone respected each other, to when I had best friends on playstation online and we didn’t know that one day we all where going to separate without knowing why. I had the best childhood and so thankful about that and it makes me feel happy. Life goes by so fast like the wind

At the beginning of the piece it feel like looking over your life and what you’ve gained, what you have. Time is up, it’s over. But then someone comes along to start their life. They walk off into what you have already laid down for them. With mystery of what they will do. When they are out of sight you can rest knowing the impact you left was good, and helped others.
Why are people always hating on Raine? Her style captures the newer style of minecraft while making it her own, and all people want to do is complain that it's not C418.
I’ve tried three times to make a comment on this, and I’ve tried to be non bias in it lol but I can’t, all I’ll say is that people don’t hate her, or her music. It’s just… why fix something that isn’t broken? C4 publicly said in an interview that he has a full album ready, not these small 4-8 track collection of random songs we keep getting, and he’s not allowed to release it. Haven’t heard anything concrete, but by the sounds of it Microsoft don’t want him working on Minecraft anymore. That’s what’s pissy, that they just seem to be forgetting him and pushing him out the way. If Lena had made only those nether tracks, perhaps worked with C418 on some others, that would be perfectly fine! But they don’t physically want C4 on the team anymore and it really sucks. Listening to her music, it’s great… and I mean it, it really really is. but it genuinely just does not at all feel like Minecraft, whether you wanna make an excuse for it sounding like “the newer style of Minecraft” or not. I’ve tried listening to her music in a new light, but I’m sorry I can *not* see it lol. A new artist who actually captured the classic feel of Minecraft perfectly was Kumi Tanioka from back in the Caves and Cliffs update, I’d personally be happy with them making music for the game in the future as it managed to feel very similar to the old tracks (almost as if he actually spent time studying C418’s style), but regardless, fans of C4 like myself would still be a little bitter and indeed very heartbroken that he’s not allowed to compose the music for the game. That’s why you see salty-ass fans like me hanging around seemingly hating on her lol. Imagine this scenario the other way around, Lena was the OG and C4 was the “new kid on the block” you’d be upset with the change too growing up with the game, having that classic Raine touch to the music, having that so so close to your heart… and then they just decide to kick her out the team hire some random new person with a bunch of random letters and numbers in his name to make the music and proceed to slowly but surely erase the old tracks from the games files. I’m trying to see this on both sides, and I can understand perfectly why people love her music and see that it perhaps “fits” in Minecraft… but, try to understand why we aren’t happy with the change too. We aren’t being salty for no reason lol, it’s just… not what we grew up with lol. We are unhappy with change, simple as.
@Dead Chat Thank you for your reply :) however, I'm talking from actual fact when I say that it seems he's been kicked out of the team. He's made what he feels is a finished product for a minecraft volume 3 album. But he also said its become pretty complicated because Minecraft (ever since Microsoft bought it) has become such a large property. *This* is an assumption, but essentially what I think is happening is that Microsoft won't give C418 permission to press the "Go" button on releasing the soundtrack. C4 is incredibly proud of his work on Minecraft, it is unrealistic to say he'd.. just... stop making music for the game. Source: ua-cam.com/video/4mn47MqhbFY/v-deo.html Time stamp: 31:39
