This is going to be my first character I've always loved melee characters. And I have a secret love with elemental guns. Lilith and brick were my mains in bl1 so this is their secret love child.
Before level 13 or so I'd recommend the fast reload/swap skill and the skill that increases your ability damage based on weapon damage. They're both in the brawler tree. Later on elemental damage from weapons will actually become significant, then Violent Tapestry becomes worthwhile.
Almost exactly the same build I made for her. Although I put 5 pts in the Brawl tree to unlock the corrosive elemental infusion. There's gonna be a ton of robots so gotta be ready!
Looking around for this very question. If PhaseSlam counts as melee, and takes melee damage perks, then its godlike. But even then there's an issue. Her Blitz skill requires her to kill with her melee. This conflicts with rush skills, or at least the capstone that requires killing with the Action Skill to refund Rush stacks. Phaseslam with a 275% Melee buff from skills, would be so strong I would assume, that you wouldn't be able to kill with the basic melee, so even that seems problematic.
You should use helping hands cz you're constantly activating the action skill with a cooldown of 10 sec between each one and helping hands has a duration of 15 seconds so its perma damage reduction of 40 something %

Could you do a theory craft on low level builds? Like if you were level 20 or 25 what you would think is best? In bl2 I had skills for characters that once I hit max level and knew I had enough points I would switch everything around.
This build would absolutely be crazy if deep well adds 20 mag size to elemental rocket launchers you can spam yr action skill then spam rockets for crazy mobbing
is amaras skill "restless" in the mystical assault tree bugged? It reads it's a 25% reduction but is actually a 75% reduction. Phasecast is a 28 second cooldown but spec'ed into restess it goes down to 7 seconds..
@@pojinx yes exactly, and also the capstone skill in the same tree (the hitman tree with the drone) makes the kill skills last 4 seconds longer and have 40% more effect so that could certainly work really well.
I'll be doing a build centered around: - Mindfullness (-Shield Recharge Delay, +Speed) - Rush (max 20, where using action skill significantly improves status effect chance, which in turn increases rush gain) - Phasegrasp literally only because of its short 16s cooldown - Various buffs upon activating action skill - 1/5 in Infusion to either increase elemental procs and thus rush stacks, or, allow fast rush gain with both elementals and nonelementals - 1/3 in Remnant for more effect procs so more rush I want to be zooming around at both insane movement and reload speed, constantly experiencing (2.6% x 20) reload speed from rush stacks *and* (3.77% x 20) reload speed from consuming the prior stacks all at the same time, for +146% reload speed. Mindfullness will mean on average +50% speed and at most +105% speed. I like my build plan because, despite how it may seem, it's not dependent on whether my gun is elemental... *Unless*, I've misjudged how Infusion and status chance will synergize. I REALLY REALLY HOPE Infusion means I can proc with nonelemental guns.

@@pojinx yeah but the only decrease in damage from changing it to fire would be 20% from tempest so against shock immune enemies it will still wreck stuff.
@@pojinx If you go up against an enemy resistant to lightning you are screwed. He mentioned using a Malewan gun of a different element for those circumstances but all you have to do is change the action skill element. And honestly if you put 5 point in the other tree you can get corrosive so that might be better because you have more options.

I take it the level cap is 50 in vanilla game , however do we reach that in first play through or is it expected in the 2nd ? How many playthroughs are there at launch 🚀? Anyone got any ideas ?
Bahroo can you try like a tank build for Fl4k? I noticed a lot of his skills involve his pets taking damage for him and healing, as well as having a taunt with one of his action skills.
I believe what it means is, when the original phase cast hits an object it then splits into the 3 ords, which can then upon hitting an enemy, give you life steal :) just my thoughts on it as getting health off of objects with no actual health themselves would be hella broken
I'm definately going with amara, I was think amara, flak, or zane but hands down I'm going amara. I played lillith in bl1 and maya in bl2 so I'm going to keep it up with amara
As i hit level 48 today...this build just shreds, not a fan of indiscriminate so honestly Catharsis is the move since Jackobs already does the whole ricochet crit thing

Greetings!! Now that we have the game and can actually play it, I will confirm that this build works and works very well. So Congratulations!! I tried FL4K and got him to level 18 before I retired him to try Amara. The difference is amazing and where FL4K struggles to stay alive or his pet struggles to stay alive Amara simply destroys stuff. Grin!! That new life tap skill really sucks in the health. Just keep a couple minions alive, just in case. I personally do not like Melee game characters and never will, but using a similar build to yours Amara is really an unstoppable force provided you do use a bit of caution in some situations. And try to keep a minion alive......although the roving shock balls may kill them in any event. FL4K may be much better late game, with a high power pet to help him out and combine his Fade Away with the master tree for pet backup. Dunno.........but just like Maya was the Fun character in BL2, Amara is the FUN in BL3. I figure in several months when they do add DLC they will add a more difficult level and extend the skill points up to 72 just like previously. Or maybe the first one will like in the past go up to 61.......which would allow use of health regen in the Brawl Tree and extension of the Fist Tree down to the Cap Stone and at this point Armara will be even more of a BadAss. That is what Ellie calls her now......BA. Chuckle. Great game.......yep sure is. Also the game does reward fast and furious game play. Get right in their face and go toe to toe.......go down, worry not, you will be up in a second. With the extra movement you do gain from some skills, it is fun to run around and behind the A.I before they even know you are there. They are still hiding behind cover when you hit them from behind. I just finished the first playthrough as fl4k but I'm kind over his crit stealth build. Yeh it's OK but man early game to me amara seems weak. I'm only level 4 but eeeh idk :( I really wanna play her but it seems her damage is sorta off

Not to mention she's basically elemental dmg dependant my friend and i playing as her, he usong melee and he clears rooms. Im personally going ranged like maya from BL2 and its pretty good if you know how to read/predict the bullet paths. Cause with range all do is attempt to herd'em up as much as possible and blast them all at once.
@@lachlan4534 I do not make videos, but I keep a notebook on a table by my easy chair as I play with a controller on my fancy PC.........just a bit of humor for some......Grin. So I study and I refer back and develop things eventually. With Amara bear in mind what you see above is a level 50 finished build. Early game when you just start out you have to take the Health Regen Perks in the Brawl Tree. You will reset your points just as soon as you can obtain Soul Tap. Until then you have to have Health Regen from somewhere. Also pick up everything and sell it....and check every vending machine all the time and get a Shield that generates health. Later you can branch out to others. Once you do get Soul Tap......things start getting easier. Also keep your eyes out for a non assuming white Vladdof ......however you spill that.....pistol ....shock with an under barrel that says shoots grenades......they will be little shock rockets.....yep........I used a level 8 pistol until level 22 when I found a new one and it was still ripping shields and killing stuff even then. Yep it is better than any Legendary you might find...just a hint. Grin. Just an ugly little pistol........that kills everything. Shock in BL3 is very, very good, unlike BL2. Shock, Cryo, and Radiation later in the game all work well, and shock works regardless as enemies do not have immunity to it. Cheers Kit

What do you think about building around "Sustainment" & "Samsara" stacks for an unkillable build? I played around with a Status proc build and it seems super interesting on paper..

It looks like you're mis-reading some of the skills. Looking at Tempest for instance (at 9:07), it's 20 shock damage (not percent) and +30% elemental damage. You read it as 20% and 30%. The shock damage is just a flat damage increase, not a percentage increase.
I'm currently trying to make an elemental build based on the fist tree. Hoping it works out the way I plan. But your build seems amazing man I'll definitely try it out at some point.

Bahroo, you made a little mistake. You didn’t notice that you get an additional 10 rush stacks from ‘violent tapestry’, which takes your max rush stacks up to 30, not 20, with this build. So the build is actually even better than you thought.
Am I understanding the question right? Will you be able to replay the game but the next difficulty after you beat the game while keeping your current character, just like the other borderlands? Most likely. If they got rid of that that would be a very bad mistake.

I was actually fiddling with this type of build while you were beating the Golden Deer storyline of Fire Emblem yesterday before your flight. Almost point for point except for the Ricochet part, wasn't sure how broken it could be.
I don't understand where you got that Action Skill Element(the diamond with the symbol of the fist grasping two electric bolts) from. I followed this build and mine is empty. I don't even see that ASE anywhere in any of the three trees.
I so can not wait to see the builds you guys create when they raise the level cap. I would be SO shocked IF they decide not to add a level increase even when bl1 had it lol and since bl1,bl2,bl pre sequel all had level cap increases in the DLC/season pass Ill bet you, we see around 70-80. But these builds are already WAY to OP that idk what else 20+ stat points could even do. It mat ruin the game and make everything to easy even in UVHM, Didnt they say there would be another game difficulty mode on top of the normal,tvhm,uvhm?
its way to early to say if the game will be too easy or not because from what we seen alot enemies have alot more abilities and mechanics than before. im sure itll only get more insane in end game along with the scaling being alot better. people say the vault hunters are op but we dont even know what the enemies are fully able to do yet. plus im not too worried as long as they are fun as hell to play cause borderlands isnt known to be a very tough game anyway. we will have to wait and see though.
I hope it's just a flat +20 mag size because jakobs Shottys are a thing. Also if it is, does that mean the mag size increases with moze will be flat as well? Since she can increase her mag by 45 due to 2 skills, which seem like they could be boosted would mean a launcher with at least a 90 mag size?!
When taking about the +20 mag size, and you mentioned launchers ... I had a brain freeze, then burst into laughter. Like come at me, come see the 8 shots Norfleet I just found ! I mean, a shock Norfleet with all these skills, and you are basically playing Gaige !
I am so hyped for zane because of looking at the various skill trees. I always have loved sirens but never looked at amaras trees specifically. After even a little of this video i can safely say amara if not 1st will be 2nd. Im a huge sucker for elemental dmg and sirens as well!!
I think brawl and fist of the elements are the trees that really separate amara from the other vault hunters. I don't think her rush stacks are that strong compared to other characters but the capstone for mystical assault could be useful for other action skills as well.
So now that the game is out, have you tried this build? It sounds damned impressive and something that I was thinking of trying, except I was going to try a fire build, but this makes more sense
really curious about how launchers work with a few of Moze's skills like the free shot or ammo regen effects as well as mag size boosts and if they count as splash do those skills apply to launchers as well giving bonus fire damage and a chance to add ammo back to mag with every shot

I just finished the first playthrough as fl4k but I'm kind over his crit stealth build. Yeh it's OK but man early game to me amara seems weak. I'm only level 4 but eeeh idk :( I really wanna play her but it seems her damage is sorta off
@@lachlan4534 its cause with her you gonna wanna play kinda like kreig a melee siren. Not to mention she's basically elemental dmg dependant my friend and i playing as her, he usong melee and he clears rooms. Im personally going ranged like maya from BL2 and its pretty good if you know how to read/predict the bullet paths. Cause with range all do is attempt to herd'em up as much as possible and blast them all at once.
@@lachlan4534 I do not make videos, but I keep a notebook on a table by my easy chair as I play with a controller on my fancy PC.........just a bit of humor for some......Grin. So I study and I refer back and develop things eventually.
With Amara bear in mind what you see above is a level 50 finished build. Early game when you just start out you have to take the Health Regen Perks in the Brawl Tree. You will reset your points just as soon as you can obtain Soul Tap. Until then you have to have Health Regen from somewhere. Also pick up everything and sell it....and check every vending machine all the time and get a Shield that generates health. Later you can branch out to others. Once you do get Soul Tap......things start getting easier.
Also keep your eyes out for a non assuming white Vladdof ......however you spill that.....pistol ....shock with an under barrel that says shoots grenades......they will be little shock rockets.....yep........I used a level 8 pistol until level 22 when I found a new one and it was still ripping shields and killing stuff even then. Yep it is better than any Legendary you might find...just a hint. Grin. Just an ugly little pistol........that kills everything. Shock in BL3 is very, very good, unlike BL2. Shock, Cryo, and Radiation later in the game all work well, and shock works regardless as enemies do not have immunity to it.

Hey question, since shock now do -20% against armor and flesh, would investing least 5 points in brawl to get access the corrosive element for your action skill. Or is this completely an electric build?

It looks like you're mis-reading some of the skills. Looking at Tempest for instance (at 9:07), it's 20 shock damage (not percent) and +30% elemental damage. You read it as 20% and 30%. The shock damage is just a flat damage increase, not a percentage increase.

I'm currently trying to make an elemental build based on the fist tree. Hoping it works out the way I plan. But your build seems amazing man I'll definitely try it out at some point.

Bahroo, you made a little mistake. You didn’t notice that you get an additional 10 rush stacks from ‘violent tapestry’, which takes your max rush stacks up to 30, not 20, with this build.
So the build is actually even better than you thought.
Will we be able to reset our playthroughs once we hit the current level cap?
Am I understanding the question right? Will you be able to replay the game but the next difficulty after you beat the game while keeping your current character, just like the other borderlands? Most likely. If they got rid of that that would be a very bad mistake.
@@TheRAMBO9191 no in borderlands 2 you could only reset playthroughs in uvhm. I mean while we wait for expansions i want to do another playthrough with my level 50 character.

I was actually fiddling with this type of build while you were beating the Golden Deer storyline of Fire Emblem yesterday before your flight. Almost point for point except for the Ricochet part, wasn't sure how broken it could be.
I don't understand where you got that Action Skill Element(the diamond with the symbol of the fist grasping two electric bolts) from. I followed this build and mine is empty. I don't even see that ASE anywhere in any of the three trees.

Rush stacks dont decay do they? The duration on Do Harm is for how long the action skill damage boost is active, which is relevant for Avatar and such
So his Fl4k build was amazing and I still use it. Does anyone know if this build is any good? All I see on UA-cam is melee builds but this sounds OP

I so can not wait to see the builds you guys create when they raise the level cap. I would be SO shocked IF they decide not to add a level increase even when bl1 had it lol and since bl1,bl2,bl pre sequel all had level cap increases in the DLC/season pass Ill bet you, we see around 70-80. But these builds are already WAY to OP that idk what else 20+ stat points could even do. It mat ruin the game and make everything to easy even in UVHM, Didnt they say there would be another game difficulty mode on top of the normal,tvhm,uvhm?
its way to early to say if the game will be too easy or not because from what we seen alot enemies have alot more abilities and mechanics than before. im sure itll only get more insane in end game along with the scaling being alot better. people say the vault hunters are op but we dont even know what the enemies are fully able to do yet. plus im not too worried as long as they are fun as hell to play cause borderlands isnt known to be a very tough game anyway. we will have to wait and see though.

I hope it's just a flat +20 mag size because jakobs Shottys are a thing. Also if it is, does that mean the mag size increases with moze will be flat as well? Since she can increase her mag by 45 due to 2 skills, which seem like they could be boosted would mean a launcher with at least a 90 mag size?!
It's only on elemental weapons. Also I am almost certain that it is +20% because flat 20 would be broke as hell
Amara seems strong, but not even her build can stand up to the might of two goons being sent to your house.
When taking about the +20 mag size, and you mentioned launchers ... I had a brain freeze, then burst into laughter. Like come at me, come see the 8 shots Norfleet I just found !
I mean, a shock Norfleet with all these skills, and you are basically playing Gaige !
I'm pretty interested how youre Zane build will look like. I feel like Zane is massively underrated.
Hodor no Amara is by a huge margin. Everyone wants to play Fl4k, Zane, and Moze.
I am really enjoy these builds. I feel when the game comes out I will have a bunch of builds in my head thanks to You.
I am so hyped for zane because of looking at the various skill trees. I always have loved sirens but never looked at amaras trees specifically. After even a little of this video i can safely say amara if not 1st will be 2nd. Im a huge sucker for elemental dmg and sirens as well!!
I think brawl and fist of the elements are the trees that really separate amara from the other vault hunters. I don't think her rush stacks are that strong compared to other characters but the capstone for mystical assault could be useful for other action skills as well.
So now that the game is out, have you tried this build? It sounds damned impressive and something that I was thinking of trying, except I was going to try a fire build, but this makes more sense
really curious about how launchers work with a few of Moze's skills like the free shot or ammo regen effects as well as mag size boosts and if they count as splash do those skills apply to launchers as well giving bonus fire damage and a chance to add ammo back to mag with every shot
Bahroo, can you do a Moze build focusing on being in Iron Bear? Iron Bear all the time, action skill cooldown rate, fuel efficiency so you can stay more in it.
