Well you are correct. If I would have killed animals just for the sake of teaching that would not only be more expensive than my budget it would be a problem for viewers.
Who is caring of God, is it the one who is giving the offering or the priest that makes sure the offering is not blemished? Who is really making the sacrifice, is it the person making the offering or the priest who does the sacrificial burning?
The priest is the officiant to ensure proper procedures. The intention, the heart or the motives of the one bringing the offering (Korban) only revealed the person’s desire to seek God and draw closer to him by receiving atonement.
@@TheTabernacleMan What you seem to suggest is that the priest has no desire to get closer to God or to receive atonement. That his services as a personal agenda are basically meaningless in terms of getting to God. That is if any boon is to be given by God that the priest would take no part in that boon nor skim something off for himself, assuming that God's grace might lead to wealth. Off course the sheep stinking peasant bringing his sheep for the sacrifice would have to pay in shekels for the priestly servants actions, for God wants incense burners in his temple to free God of the stench of sheep stinking peasants, as opposed to freeing the priestly ones of such stench.. This of course is all being done in the ""wilderness"": I believe there was a Moses but I fear that a conversation with the infinite being that goes on and on is unlikely and it seems that it was more likely done to secure boons for a priestly class and probably not by Moses or God. I am interested in your understanding about the nature of sacrifice and how the destruction of innocent animals "with out blemish" solves the problem of sin.
@@marshalldarcy7423 no that is not my point. The offerings others bring are for their Thanksgiving or sin. The priests as far as atonement appear only to be covered with the Day of Atonement sacrifices discussed in Leviticus 16.
Thank you for these teachings and you amazing and immediate response. I deleted the comment because the beginning of another video stated that the offerings were completely burnt so that there was no use for the material afterward. Another question I have, is how did they determine if the offering was pleasing to God? Was this determined by the priest. I know in scripture there was Cain and Abel, it doesn't provide much detail about how the offerings are favored other than I assume Cain's heart was not right when making his offerings and therefore did not receive favor.

As a christian I do believe Jesus sacrifice replaced this system. However I do find the old system interesting. I have been reading the bible for years, but have come to the realization there is a good amount of things I do not fully understand
Read the letter to the Hebrews. It clearly says that the tabernacle and its services were figures, types and shadows of Christ’s redemptive work for mankind. It also says the earthly tabernacle was a representation of the true tabernacle in heaven where Jesus Christ serves as our high priest.
You go to God through Jesus Christ who is the Eternal high priest after the order of Melchizedek. Jesus Christ fulfilled the law of Moses. For without the shedding of blood is no remission of sin. The veil leading to the holy of holies in the temple was torn when Jesus died. Our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit of the most high God. The tedious maintenance, cleansing ceremonies of the physical Temple represents how we are to maintain holiness in our life and body.
Amen! "But when the fulness of time had come, God sent foeth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons."
Thank you so much for this and other videos. I have a question: for a sinner's offering a sin offering, does the sinner kill the animal and then the priest does the rest (sprinkling of blood, cutting up the animal, burning it, etc.)? or does the sinner do more than kill the animal?
Could you also expound "wave offering" please. Haven't quite understood who is it referring to, whether the sheaves are talking about the Lord Jesus and through Him we are accepted or was His sacrifice upon the cross that was accepted.
It is used among biblical scholars to include the period when biblical Judaism and Christianity both exist. Sometimes BCE is used to refer to the time period before Christianity coexisted with Judaism. The Common Era begins with year 1 in the Gregorian calendar. CE and BCE are used in exactly the same way as the traditional abbreviations AD and BC. AD is short for Anno Domini, Latin for in the year of the Lord. BC is an abbreviation of Before Christ.
I appreciate your point of view, but historically you are in accurate. The sacrifices continued up until 8070 when the Romans destroyed the second temple, however with Christian theology, there is the belief that the sacrifices are no longer required because of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ so you are correct on that end but historically your timeline is off. Thank you for commenting.
Why in Numbers do the Israelites complain of only having manna to eat when they are making sacrifices left and right of all their live stock? And, it is clear the Levities are eating the meat of some of the sacrifices. This is a very clear inconsistency in my eyes.
Narrative as you say happened when the Temple was destroyed by the Romans. In order to continue the practice of Judaism, what we call the Pharisees today developed into Rabbinic Judaism, hence the sacrifice of the heart. However, there are Orthodox Jews today that yearn for the Temple to be rebuilt and animal sacrifices to be reinstituted.
@@johnadams9508 And you as sinner imperfect, Is giving us your opinion of a Perfect, Holy, Rightouss, loving God and you as a fellow human forgot, humans are the most hateful, bloodthirsty creation alive. You also forgot that the ONLY reason God had to do all those things in the old testament is because we humans Sinned against him. God gave us Free will and we took that free will and set ourself against God and did everything against him. If a earthy Father wouldn't spanks you after you did something you woren't suppose to do he would be a terrible father and so since God is a perfect Father he always spanks us when we sin against him, and he will do that by putting his Judgement upon us personally or as a whole so we would than see the errors of our ways and repent so he can than heal our land. You need to turn to Jesus and Repent before you parish. But you don't have to Parish that's why God sent his son - God the Son (Jesus) to die for those sin so you wouldn't have to go to Hell but have a way to go to heaven NOW that's perfect Love.
@@heartforchrist7004, his point was, that if Yahuah gave humans free will, then he shouldn't be angry at 'em. If he wanted dolls, then no reason to give humans free will in the first place. Yahuah is an asshole in the OT. In NT he isn't really better. Making a person die for the mistakes of others isn't just or good.
Christianity is a continuation of Greco Roman religion, not the Hebrew religion which is the so-called NT is completely incoherent in relation to the Hebrew Bible
I would disagree. Yes the New Testament has a Greco Roman influence and therefore written in Koine Greek. But many of the themes and some verses are directly quoted or referenced from the Torah or Tanach.
Please look at dictionary to learn what the are Latin abbreviations for BC and AD. When I use CE I am referring to biblical scholarly understanding that the time I am referring to is CE the Common Era when the followers of the Way of Jesus and Judaism coexisted at the same time meaning the religion “Christianity” did not exist. BCE is Before the Common Era meaning the period of time when both of the above were active and the “parting of ways” had not happened. Most believe the New Testment’s reference of the king in power at time of Jesus birth was 4-5 BC. So in your thinking what does that mean?
Sorry no levitical priesthood tabernacle or temple , the religion is not in effect and can't be completed causing a person in that covenant to break it over and over. My understanding is that Jeremiah 31:31 was fulfilled and the Lord Jesus Christ started the New Covenant which is the door , John 10:-9-16, everyone must enter that's why the old testament door of the levitical system was closed. Only one mediator between God and Man, 1 Timothy 2:5, the Jewish religion rabbi or current claiming priest or Catholic priest or saints and angels they tell you to go to can we come to God but through the Lord Jesus Christ. Only one way to God and get your sins forgiven and granted repentance John 14:6 and Hebrew 7 goes over.
I think you misunderstood the entire video. I am not suggesting the levitical sacrifices are the way now nor am I suggesting this should be reinstated. You are correct the Temple does not exist in Judaism. Now the sacrifice is the sacrifice or offering of the heart. My teaching merely explains my humble understanding of what this ancient practice may have looked like.

Why in Numbers do the Israelites complain of only having manna to eat when they are making sacrifices left and right of all their live stock? And, it is clear the Levities are eating the meat of some of the sacrifices. This is a very clear inconsistency in my eyes.
.....if Dave had never come over that day......
How convenient that they switch the narrative and all of a sudden prayer makes atonement instead of the blood of animals.

17:37 No, HE HAS ONE NAME. He has MANY TITLES BUT ONE NAME. His name is YAHUAH. repent
Come on in 😂don't forget Nefesch though
Christianity is a continuation of Greco Roman religion, not the Hebrew religion which is the so-called NT is completely incoherent in relation to the Hebrew Bible
I would disagree. Yes the New Testament has a Greco Roman influence and therefore written in Koine Greek. But many of the themes and some verses are directly quoted or referenced from the Torah or Tanach.
Well go to the front, when ive got money
You use the terms CE and BCE and yet are supposed to be teaching about God???
You better stop and think about that.

My apologies I didn't listen to the whole teaching. Here is some other speakers who lecture or preach on this you might want to research. I'll finish yours up

Dr Frutchenbaum is an excellent Messianic teacher. Probably one of the better researchers in his camp. Not familiar with the others.
