Hello ! Thank you for the guide. I have a quick question about ST priority outside of CDs : as the last one, you say whirlwind but why no slam since it's doing a lot more of damage ? because of the rage generated by whirlwind ?
@jonathanb4203 So, I had to double check this, and I found that slam would indeed be better by a small margin. I just did a 2 minute ST dummy fight, and I found that I had a single filler ability used in that time frame, which will make approximately a 0.1% dps difference. It's not a make or break deal, but because whirlwind does not produce rage in the ST build, slam will be the better choice for pure dps :) I, however, am very used to using whirlwind because it has a slightly higher range, and you can still hit the enemy even when turned around or moving out of a mechanic. Therefore, I would leave this one up to personal choice based on what you believe works best for you :) I hope this answer helps, and thank you very much for pointing this out!
Step1. Smash keys lightning fast when they light up Step 2. ignore wrist pain Step 3. Pump Step 4. Stand in swirlies on the ground PSA they make your sword stronger(dont listen to your healer as they do not pump) Step 5. your wrist has gone numb to the pain repeat steps 1,3 and 4 and push those keys! Step 6. When the tank and healer complains your class brings no utility show him both of your utility sticks that make thing go unalive. Step 7 youre a keystone hero on the best class farm big sword mogs till season 2.
i still just cant see reckless abandon being better than anger management. i mean, i understand that it can throw off the lineup of the coolies, but still. also, for pure dps on the class tree m+ build, second wind over seismic reverb? thats just lost WW dmg for survivability that is kinda useless.
The reason Reckless Abandon is better mainly because the tier set goes all in on Raging Blow and Bloodthirst Damage, and Reckless Abandon compliments that. For M+ pure damage is almost never the solution for talent builds. For example: the Second Wind talent will always be active on the final boss of Ara-Kara, when not poisoned, to the point that you will get back to full health between poison casts without the healers help. Now that was for the old Slayer M+ build, with the new Mountain Thane M+ build things are a bit different because we take Thunderclap. This does MUCH MORE DAMAGE than WW does, so in this case we do take the Seismic Reverb Talent because the 30% increase is very much worth it. I will have an updated Fury Guide soon to talk about these changes, but at the moment I am sick. I want it to be good quality and I can't do that with how hoarse my voice is right now; however, my Ara-Kara and Stonevault +10 videos showcase the new Mountain Thane build for M+ after all the nerfs to Slayer :) ua-cam.com/video/bgHe4_s04_Y/v-deo.html
Thanks for this. I always used execute when it procced (old arms main here)... Then I was like why my dps isnt enough, even if I always watch my enrage? Then I smashed raging blow and then bloodthirst when RB is on CD and I was like, OH!...
@mr.6934 for example: the 3rd boss in the raid is a pure ST fight. The boss is the only enemy you will be fighting. Otherwise you will use the multitarget build
Tank dual one hand speed hit ratio non crit looker and non looking for armorpen. Silences, reflects, slows, bleedCombat, deathwishlaststand, down the bubble, indisarm, stuns, resillence, macro hit the patience, life reagent herba, spider web
@rudolphseitz6119 Honestly, it's hard to say for this one. I did delves for several hours the past 2 days on stream, and both performed very well. If I had to guess, I'd probably pick Prot Warrior because damage is still good, and survivability is through the roof
Cleared Zek'vir ?? and Tier 11 delve at ilevel 607 as Fury Slayer, worked well but I'd say it's more about your Brann and the idols he has as opposed to your spec
Hello, you are able to do this; however, in my sims at this point, it would be a 2% to 3% dps loss just transferring the talents from Deft Experience and down, over to Critical Thinking and Dancing Blades. If you like how that feels over Onslaught and your environment isn't too competitive, then personal choice that lets you enjoy the game is ideal :)
It looks like they have just recently changed the build this week to have a bigger emphasis on raging blow and a bit more execute procs. The priority stays the same, but without onslaught and relying on execute procs, there is a chance for more filler use (slam/whirlwind). I will check the damage difference in the morning. Thank you for bringing this to my attention :)
@10LOLgamer so none of them use the st choice because blizzard made a majority of the bosses spawn adds; therefore, there are limited ST fights. Blizzard is also nerfing Bladestorm and Odyns Fury, so I plan on reviewing that
@danleen4225 I do it because it let's me reck, rampage, avatar, rampage, in some situations. Such as when hero is late on pull. So it's an optimization that let's me get a little more damage in the opener, but it's not going to make or break your overall dps. So I do recommend it, but if if it does not work for you, but whatever path works best for you will likely lead to better damage :)
@iEx0tic Bloodbath priority will increase after you've gained multiple stacks of the buff that crushing blow gives to it (15% higher crit chance, stacking) when you've essentially made the crit chance be 100%. I believe this is similar to the DF S2 tier set, but the stacks come from crushing/raging blow instead of rampage. Of course, if you're dying, then hit that enraged regen and bloodbath/bloodthirst away :)
@@Ardrith Appreciate it! As for bladestorm, the cooldown gets reduced in the Slayer tree. Ofcourse its always recommended to bundle cooldowns but i do have many moments where bladestorm is off cooldown before avatar+reck+roar. Do you think its worth using on CD?
@iEx0tic For ST, absolutely you use it on its own and to match CDs. For MT, I recommend matching it with Odyn's Fury, but I believe sending the CD will net you better overall dps as long as whatever you're in combat with isn't already about to fall over
#showtooltip /cast Avatar /use 14 /cast Thunderous Roar /cast [@player] Champion's Spear This is a Macro I use which makes spear cast on your character model along with Avatar and your final trinket slot. try it out and see if it helps :)
Execute is lower priority because Raging Blow and Bloodthirst interact with each other, where Raging Blow increases the crit chance for Bloodthirst, and Bloodthirst has a chance to refresh enrage. Execute should still be used to both generate more rage and maintain stacks of Ashen Juggernaut (where possible), but with the Raging Blow talents and the empowerment from Reckless Abandon, Execute unfortunately falls short with current tuning

I thought the same thing as OP but I'm the same as Johnathan where I am in such a habit of just hitting Whirlwind for ease of use more than anything.

Just wondering what that addon is above your actionbars? Is that a WA showing your rotation?
Thanks!
That is actually a plugin within the Details! options panel > Plugins > Action Tracker :)

@cvirilcik182 yes but I prefer to hit reck>charge for that extra rage to ramp :)
Good, thank you

There is a possibility for the more ST focused fights, but they should remain the same for MT. Our dps will be less though
