This is a video on how to fix your heavy power steering or no power steering at all. This is a very common issue on Audi A3 and VW Golf.
You will get plenty of warning lights on the dash.
Main Fault code is 01309 Power steering control module.
A lot of people have replaced the power steering unit and that usually isnt the problem.
It is always important to check fuses and wiring first.

@@AlexTheGrumpyOne Hi there! Unfortunately, it didn't solve my problem... I've tried to replace all the fuses, just in case but I think that it could be something with the Grounds (they are full of dirt) or the power steering module... I’ll let you know if I fix it!! Cheers from Spain!
@borjanavarro3360 keep me posted please. Its a shame that it didn't fix it for you. Check all the grounds and cable plug connection for rust or water
@@AlexTheGrumpyOne I’ve been two hours cleaning the grounds and sanding them, and it did not work, so I’m disassembling the module, now Im gonna check in ebay if I can find any. That’s the worst part of a “Third hand car” 😂😂😂 I’ll keep you post!!

There isn't a specific name for them unfortunately. Well not as far as I'm aware.

Well, unfortunately I cant seem to finf a broken connector or wire. I have the exact same code. After 5 minuten of driving in warm weather, the power steering starts working again. In cold weather it can take up to 45 minutes/1 hour. I dont know where to look anymore
I would recommend checking your ground points

Hi, any update? Mine works only when driving and no issues after, but when i start the car i get the error and if i steer without car moving it get stuck

Havent checked the grounds yet, didnt have a lot of time recently
now I see somewhere that cut off I join it back but is not working what should I do

Have you cleared the codes?
Also have you inspected the rest of the connections and made sure that wire was clean and not black or corroded
