Been caught in that before. Back in 1985, they installed natural gas heater in the # 10 Maintenance Hanger at CFB Trenton in Canada, but they forgot to adjust the the fire sensor system. Son on the first cold night we hauled the Boeing 707 into the hanger and closed the doors, the heaters kicked in and the fire system sensed too much heat and the hanger in all 6 bays filled with suppression foam. All the doors closed automatically and people who hadn't seen it before went to a panic. Actually it was pretty neat, clean the hanger floor really good too

At the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago, in the area where aircraft are on display, there is a Federal Signal SelecTone alarm speaker above a large green square with the letters AFFF. Now I know what it is for.

The only stuff I get to see are fire alarms, exit signs, hose reels and at some places fire sprinklers (Normal water ones). Plus hydrants outside but that's about it. But I don't work for the military or any airline or fire brigade, that might be the explanation actually. And sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language but at least I'n not using any translator app thingy.

keep In mind I think this is a type you should research on the different foams class a hi expansion afff fffp alcohol etc. it says afff but afff is a low exapnion product this is a hi-exapanion foam not likely to be class a tough maybe class a can be used as a high exapanion system I actually think it could be toxic it probably does conduct electricity do to water content I don't know that it would conduct much though but you should go to the kidde website I think it is kidde firefighting look as the msds sheet and draw your own conclusion I am pretty sure it is toxic

I'm not sure about this foam (HEF), but a lot of AFFF foam can have dangerous PFAS chemical in it!! DuPont also dumped it into water supplies and a lot of people who drank that water got cancer! (Look up Parkersburg WV PFAS)
I ACTUALLY got rid of all my foam units I now have water extinguishers filled with added dish soap and the other water extinguishers are charged with a wetting agent that is supposed to be environmentally friendly! I Don't mention product name in public forum because it may cause debate but is advertised as an alternative to halon and I think has been determined to a weak/ poor conductor of electricity also the extinguisher s I used for that are filled with distilled water!
