is the sternum manubrium usually connected to the sternum body? or are those 2 seperate pieces so to speak? also i would like to know, since i have trouble in the sternum ( pain ) MRT says that ive got a "bonebridge" build up from manubrium to the sternum body like right through the small gap in between.. is that normal with age? i wonder if thats the cause for my pain?
Yes they are two separate pieces but that two pieces are connected to each other very strongly that's why they count as sternum and yaa if some thing happened to sternum firstly sternum will break from that joint and they become separate

Hello sir. First of all thank you for such informative video. Sir I want to ask a doubt- Is the sternal foramen present on the 3rd transverse ridge or on the 4th sternebrae? And what is the clinical condition associated in case the sternal foramen is present?

Your videos are great specialy for those students who study bones from BD CHAURASIA'S human Anatomy..........
Thank you Sir
BD Churasiya ain't the coolest of anatomy books.
KLM & Snell's are far better: the global standard.
Last's anatomy is best for surgeons.
Exactly !!
@@ayeshafatima2593 from the exam point of view...BDC is the best
Was going to say the same thing

One of the best video forever sir....a lot of thank u sir 🙏🏻
The video was awesome and very precise with high information but the xiphisternal joint is a secondary cartilaginous joint
It is structurally synchondrosis and functionally synarthrosis..
The first chondrosternal is fibrous joint according to Grays Anatomy.....but several books label it as primary cartilaginous joint
Thank you sir. Was really helpful for last minute revisions.
Thanks a lot Sir .Your videos are very helpful.

Xiphisternul joint is secondary cartilaginous?
Yes..
@@drvirenkariya thank you sir...just asked because in BDC it is given as primary
It is primary cartilaginous but when a person turns adult, it ossifies.
@@varshini.d2724 it becomes ossified near its upper end.

Primary, check grays nd bdc
Its primary
Vishram Singh says its secondary cartilaginous joint
All midline joints are secondary cartliginous except zimphisternal joint and symphysis menti
Xiphisternal joint is secondary cartilagenous joint sir.
