hi can i know what is the possible way to damage the power ic? i dropped my iphone 4, does that make my power ic damage? i went to two repair shop one siad it was the motherboard prob the another one said it was the power ic....i'm not sure which one is right so i didnt fix it.... the repair shop that said it was the motherboard prob,is it becuz he dont fix the inner part of motherboard? is the power ic located in the motherboard? hope you will reply me... i'm so desperate for the answer right now.... thanks! urgent
Hello Ashraf. So i have iphone 4s. It started losing its battery life and i was told that i must get another battery which i did twice in a month. every time after the replacement of battery it worked but this time after getting charged for 100% all of a sudden the cell went off and kept showing apple logo. I wanted to fix it myself first to i tried the booting up mentods like pressing home and power keys together , then i even checked for an online fix, i tried dr.fone i thought there is some software issue i wanted to get the system recovery but it still didnt work and gave a msg that the hardware has some problem. Now my iphone 4s shows battery sign that needs to be charged. when i connect the iphone with pc it recognises the device but since the phone is blank it doesnt show anything. I dont want to lose my data from cell phone cuz alot of it hasnt been backed up yet. do u think it has the same U2 IC issue. like the one in video. I live in islamabad how cani get help n from where. Please suggest something

No, the only way to lose data is to destroy the logic board, short something wich corrupts the Firmware and/or bootrom, or if you replace NOT AND ( NAND ) chip. Changing PMIC (Power Management Intergrated Circuit) wont do anything.
