This phone was for training video only, no? The phone has a short on VCC_MAIN because C5202_RF is bad--look at burn marks. It didn't need PMIC change. So many phones are ruined by people who follow and just think "no power = I should change PMIC" Still love your skills, thanks for sharing :)

+iPad Rehab Probably checked the voltage out Jessa direct from pmic is bad for cpu gpu etc and the input voltage is fine indicating faulty pmic I did spot water damage at pmu desense cap C5203_RF I doubt he would change the pmic without good reason unless he's just showing off lol.

I don''t think he is a showing off type. Check out his other videos. The main thing is he doesn't even use high end tools like Jessa. I am not trying to put Jessa But this guy is really inspiring.

      @astroman5923 8 років тому

That was sarcasm he's highly skilled. i personally use thermo couples for everything take no risks, this guy has a feel for it you can see him prodding components to make sure the board has reached temp efficient technique it's like art and his timing is perfect.

firstly, for the original PM IC (never reball before) if you hot till the solder can come out like that for sure the CPU will over hit. second, the new PM IC if you are not reball before put in it is very high chance to damage CPU. and at last, before check with other LCD it was arabic language and after that it became english.

First I thank you for watching our video and you post your questions or doubts in brief.changing the language is not a big deal.
I wanna make you clear that,if you didn't do something it doesn't mean someone can't do that work .
Do you think all our videos are not genuine?if you can check them all.

    hey,
    two questions :
    1. what is the temperature of the heat gun ?
    2. after the soldering you are using DVM to measure impedance or short ? and what are the points on the board to do it, beside the gnd of course?

Can you please help me... after removing ic chip or any other, you have
to clean that small (round circle) solder pins on motherboard...How to
clean them without damaging the motherboard? I tried it once but i
pulled the copper from the motherboard, basicly ruined it. Do i have to
preheat the motherboard and then try with soldering gun and solder
wick? What i did was putting soldering paste....using soldering gun over
wick and trying to remove the extra solder from motherboard...the
effect was clean motherboard but also pulling some small copper pins and in that way destroying the motherboard. Thank you in advacne for help...

    • @keithnsearle7393
      @keithnsearle7393 7 років тому +1

You will find out which part needs changing by the power it receives OR lack of power depending on the component. You will need a multi meter and an independent power supply to test out the different amps and volts of the components. Plus a schematic (circuit diagram) comes in handy.

Hi, THanks for Yor response. When I attach multimeter this way as You show in the video at 3 min 35 sec I get no beep and it only shows 301 continuity at the multimeter display. Does that mean that it's the big pm ic that needs to be replaced?

Please sir, could you help me diagnose my hardware problem? I replaced the battery and after one week I forgot to recharge it because it was stuck in 100% most of the time and it suddently turned off. After that it won't go beyond the apple logo boot, it vanishes and reboot. I tried recover it on iTunes and after sending the firmware it reboots and the apple logo appears with the progress bar but it turns off (slowly vanishing) and reboot itself to the iTunes connect logo. I will replace the IC but there is the tristar (U2) and the power management (U7) I don't know which of them i should replace.

      temperature is set to 380
Air flow is set to 5 when he removes the chips, and by the air flow sound you can hear when he is putting the chip back, i would guess he lowers the air pressure to 4.

Hi ashfaq, I have a question for you.
I've been replacing lots of screens and parts on all iPhone from 2007, but I've never managed to fix a "dead" motherboard.
I have an iPhone 5S which started having problems with the sim. It would occasionally say "No SIM card installed".
After some days it said "no SIM card installed" all the time, no matter how many reboots, change of sim, reinstall of firmware I did.
After that I tried to fix it by opening it and make sure everything was connected properly, and then second problem came.
The charging dock didn't work anymore.
Sound from headphone worked, speaker worked. Only the charging didn't work.
So I changed the headphone, power connectors cables in hope that it would fix it, but with the new cables it was still not charging or showing any sign of life.
My question is this then, what do you think might be the problem. Since watching your videos you've done in the past in guessing it's the pm ic chip that is dead. But what about the issue with the sim card?
Thank you in advance, keep up the good work.
    Regards from Denmark
    Francesco

Don't get me wrong, he seems skilled, but that's about it.

I remember seeing a comment he did (one of the fews) where he actually said about the flux and temperature. But anyways to me it's no use, cause I do not have the equipment to fix this and neither the skills. (Looks like you need a pretty steady hand and a good magnifying glass)

Fantastic work, I was just wondering if you can perhaps shot a video on how you can remove iCloud from iPhone 6, just like the iPhone 5 tutorial. Thanks much big fan.

i have a problem with an iphone 6s, changing the display i saw a little bit of smoke near a display connector and now i have no image and iphone doesn't turn on only 2 vibrations after connecting the charger

maybe you short-circuited the display connector. if the damage is on the motherboard, you'll have to replace the entire board.
