No one is talking about this, but the biggest thing i hate about this bag are 2 things 1) it doesnt stand at all... not even the slightest 2) when you lock the magnetic buckle of the main compartment and u sling ur back on ur back really hard with ur rightarm, the buckle flies OPEN!!! super annoying

I’ve been torn between the aer cpp/tp3 and evergoods cpl/ctb. Found this one and now I’m really considering it too. My main concern is the water pouch. I always carry a 40oz and I don’t think either could support that. Most reviewers typically use a 20oz or so in their videos. But the dayfarer seems like a large enough pouch. The 32 seems well fitted but do you know if a 40oz would be no problem? Thanks for making the video as well. Any input on this would be appreciated

Thanks for the question! tbh, I think a 40L will fit too, assuming it only gets taller than a 32 oz, and not wider. So you'd probably need to be concisions of which 40L fits. The reason is that the bottle pocket has plenty of height, but the zipper opening actually isn't too large, so a wider bottle just won't fit. But yea, I think the Modern wayfarer should work! And the Aer and Evergoods are great picks too, I've used the Aer before. Oh, and we loooove the EDC rabbit hole.. thats how I started the channel.

This is super informative! My wife has the V1 but I’m leaning toward buying the V2 after watching the review, thanks!

I got the V2 but Modern Dayfarer shouldn't cheap out on 10 dollar chest straps if they wanna be considered a go-to premium option

Totally agreed, I had to call that out in the video. Odd choice. Probably cost them $1 to manufacture that chest strap, why not just include it.

Is this a 20L or 24L? The website says 24L, but i’m wondering if it’s a 20L, but if the top is all the way expanded and loosened, it can be a 24L? I am very close to pulling the trigger, just don’t want it to be too big on me

Yes, this is the 24L , thanks for catching that actually. Yes , you're correct, it can be 24 when expanding the top. Let me actually update the title. It's a great pack!

This is v2 of their backpack. And is based upon the first.
    1. Has the v2 dropped the card holder on the strap?
    2. Any improvements to the laptop compartment?

Mr J, yep you're correct, it is very similar to the V1. I didn't get a chance to own the V1 so I wasn't able to compare between versions. Yep, they dropped the card holder on the strap. May I ask what the issue was with the laptop compartment in the V1? I could explain what they did in this version. Thanks for the comment!

Buyer beware. It took more than 60 days between when they charged my credit card and when the product arrived. (read the fine print on their website before you buy) I did not realize that that bag was not even in production when I purchased it. When I tried to return it because it's a shoddy product with slick marketing I was told that I'd have to ship it from USA to Germany, which woulg cost me another $100 in addition to the $300 that I already wasted. Customer service is non-existent at this company. I'm selling mine on eBay if anyone wants to buy this at a reduced rate. Don't believe the hype. This backpack doesn't even stand up straight when you place it one the ground. It falls over on it's side. The side pockets were too small to even hold my water bottle. It's tiny and uncomfortable to wear. Slick marketing, bad customer service, middling product design.
