It should be said that no game currently in the franchise has a battle preparation theme as good as Shadow Dragon's. Shadow Dragon messed up in a lot of areas, but musically it knocked it out of the park.
And Sacred Stones can have a backseat to this game as it already had in terms of prep screen themes. That game's prep screen theme doesn't even come close to this. I'd rank it beneath FE5's even.
Path of Radiance's "Rising Morale" beats them all by far in terms of epicness. PoR battles are those I've enjoyed the most preparing because of that awesome theme. Although this one comes second or third with Radiant Dawn's
I like all the FE preparation themes out of the games I've played, but Shadow Dragon's is definitely one of my favorites, along with Awakening's and Fate's preparation theme.
Helpful tip. If you can keep Wolf alive through that mission when you get him, Turn him into a General. You will not regret it! He re-defines the meaning of "Tank" (be aware of Silver Weps/Magic)
Even still, On the level where you get Rodger (I can't remember the number I think it was 8) I just put Wolf up where the Horsemen are, and waited for them to stop spawning and just leveled Wolf up to level 9 (I broke a Steel lance in the process but no big deal)
+PyrenZero Prepromote or not, Wolf is a damn good one. I'd say he even holds up well to other non-prepromote generals since even endgame enemies will be lucky to even deal 1 HP to him. It hardly matters in his case
+GameAW I was very dissapointed when I recruited Wolf and Sedgar after Ch 19 in the sequel of Shadow Dragon, new Mystery their join time was like at the end of the GAME!! The game only had 24 chapters, 20 if you couldn't get all the spheres I think? I really liked them in Shadow Dragon, but I had no place for them in the sequel. p.s. This theme is AMAZING!! can't deside between this and the sequel!!!
Yusuf Islam Durmus I got Wolf in the sequel and reclassed him to General, and theoretically, he was no different from the first game, but due to how late he came, there was no real use for him and he got shelved pretty quickly after
i've been trying to get into fates the past few days after failing to get into awakening. shadow dragon is one of my favourite games ever, though. this music plays in my head all the time. there's something about every part of this game that i think is perfect. even the sound effects moving around selections here is perfect. i can't get into the new extravagant art style as much as i want to. this game is the perfect medium for me.
Sweat James If you like this Fire Emblem style I highly recommend looking up fan translations of Binding Blade if you haven't already. That game and Shadow Dragon are my two favorite FE games by far because of their similar strategic gameplay.
Whenever I hear this music I want to replay shadow dragon :) This is really the best music of the game, the most emblematic and the most amazing! Thank you for this mix half an hour !! :D

If this tune doesn't make it into Total War: Fire Emblem, I'm modding it into it. If Intellegent Systems doesn't get their butts in gear to collab with Creative Assembly to make Total War: Fire Emblem a thing, I'll autistically screech at the internet until it is.

+AceTechHD I'd like to play it.. I have a DS emulator. The only thing that bothers me are the graphics.. I'd like to see some GBA Shadow Dragon hack or something. :P Now that would be amazing!
You're welcome. I had my DS open for half an hour with an audio cable to my PC as I couldn't find this anywhere.
True dedication
Years after we still salute you
Thank you sir.
Thanks man! Much appreciated!
youre a hero!
Maybe when this finishes, just MAYBE, I MIGHT be ready to start the battle.

Sacred Stones would like a word with you.

Joseph Brooks Just wait for fates to come out. It sounds amazing.
This guy gets it.

That profile pic seriously creeps me out.
It's the face Linde makes when she's benched. :D
Fate's is kinda meh for me, i prefer Alm's prep theme
THANK YOU HEROES

Oh, Wolf is stupidly tank as a General. He and Sedgar are damn good for prepromotes, but at the end of the day, they're still prepromotes.
Even still, On the level where you get Rodger (I can't remember the number I think it was 8) I just put Wolf up where the Horsemen are, and waited for them to stop spawning and just leveled Wolf up to level 9 (I broke a Steel lance in the process but no big deal)

Same both games are great but I like this better
Have you ever tried new mystery of the emblem?
It pretty much this game with a load of new features
its personally my favourite in the series

@Pineconic try playing on hard 5 (merciless) mode and then try saying that with a straight face.
Counting how many iron swords i have for the fifth time, just to make sure we have enough.
Best Preparation soundtrack in Gaming. 🪻 🐉
my first Fire Emblem played, i remember this theme like yesterday
You know, I always had immense trouble leaving the prep menu in this game. Listening to this again, the reason should be rather obvious.
Wow you can REALLY hear this for half an hour! Even longer for me.
The begining sounds like "On Glory's Wings" from Radiant Dawn now that I think about it ! :o
HOLY FRICK IT DOES
Alright, who's the f***er that disliked this masterpiece? XC
Whenever I hear this music I want to replay shadow dragon :) This is really the best music of the game, the most emblematic and the most amazing! Thank you for this mix half an hour !! :D
Thanks for this, Heroes.
Hard choice between this and Path of Radiance preparation theme both are best in FE franchise :P
Totally agree with that!
ORIGINAL SHADOW DRAGON GOT AN OFFICIAL TRANSLATION SWITCH PORT TODAY 22 OCT 2020
And now it's in Heroes.
Let's fucking go.
The theme for when you steal all the Iron weapons from your Zas's and Ida's.
If this could just play for every next Fire Emblem game, that would be great.
Whoa. This pretty much confirms you as the best ever.
It gives me chills

New Mystery or Fates Birthright have my favorite ones
And then came Three Houses which topped them all.
Put Engage at the top
And this is why SOV and 3H have this style of battle prep themes.
this one has a slight fe6 (sword pf seals) tone, especially the part between 0:13-0:25
am gonna go shopping to *walmarth*
Thank you so much.
one of best sound from FE
Hahahaha thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
darn FEH
この身支度BGMは新紋章のより好き
Ohh yeah this Game, if You play Merciless difficult better be prepared to get bodied since the very first map
To be honest, I have yet to play Shadow Dragon without resorting to Arena Abuse.
@@xxx_jim_the_reaper_xxx its good seeing you still on FE youtube videos.
^^ This is also my favorite too!
pretty good
This and FE8
I really need to get this game
+Christopher Shields Good luck with that. I was lucky enough to find one at Gamestop the day after someone traded it in.
i found a copy at a store in town where you can purchase old games. It was the last copy, so i was lucky.
I got it on amazon for 11 bucks
@@AlucardTepesVladso true but I’ve been having a copy since 2016. Super sorry for the super late reply tho 😂😅
I know why you're here now
SmtFan I’m here because I can’t earn pearls for the characters I want because IS don’t care about us enough to make us happy...
Niceeee!!!!
is there a way i can download this? because i like this prep theme over fe seven's
Me gusta man el de fates y echoes/alm

but seriously, WHAT IS IT WITH BAD GAMES HAVING EPIC MUSIC?!?!??!??!?
sonic 06
tomb raider:angel of darkness
Fire Emblem: Shadow dragon
Shadow Dragon is *not* comparable to Sonic 06 in terms of badness.
At least the game doesn't break and is still pretty fun. Yeah, it's very simplistic compared to the other games in the series, but it's not the Sonic 06 of Fire Emblem.
How is this game at all bad?
idk its just a big downgrade
Hirotrum
It wasn't a downgrade though. This is the FIRST FIRE EMBLEM GAME remade.
lmao IK im just saying they could have at least add some of the new features features
I really need to get this game
It really gets a lot of hate but I really like it! Just remember it's a remake of a famicom (NES) game and have fun!
+AceTechHD I'd like to play it.. I have a DS emulator. The only thing that bothers me are the graphics.. I'd like to see some GBA Shadow Dragon hack or something. :P Now that would be amazing!
