I know everyone associates this with Game of Thrones, and it has a strong, intense feel to it, as well as some of the other lyrics, but the lyrics "Higher farther" and especially "Onward and upward" make me think of Narnia. In both the Magician's Nephew and especially the Last Battle that is something they say a lot as they are striving to reach the garden/heaven/eden.
I agree. The line "lay down His life for me" made me think of Aslan. It makes me think of the Kings and Queens of Narnia always moving onward for someone who is above them "upward".
